Research Methods!

Hi there guys,

I've been planning for a while now to undertake some personal research.But first I wanted to get the opinions of individuals on this forum, who may be well experienced in undertaking the art of research, and what they found to be the best methods to apply to a research project, from there own personal experaince.

What I'm looking for is good sources for books or video tutorials based on researching a personal topic, and the basic principles of researching methodologies.

I am going to search trough Google myself, to find some good sources, but I thought asking you guys would be a smart idea :).

There are of course formal research methodologies based upon whether you want to study social or physical phenomenon. If social/cultural, you might want to search for qualitative research oriented sites, if natural/physical, you'll look for more quantitative research oriented sites. The qualitative stuff looks at people-centered and non-objective material with some quantification, the quantitative stuff looks primarily at the natural world by statistics and a form of simple objectivity.

If you're just looking for the basics on how to research utilizing the scientific method, google the scientific method. That will get you started. Happy exploring!

I was searching for all the texts NOT placed in the Bible to complete the whole reading of the book. I didn't feel it was the King, Roman Gov, or Pharisee's place to "omit" books that showed us in them. I also read a text recently as 1950's called the Urantia Book and read it online. It's also possible to download full text.

Urantia Book or bluebooks tell of the beginning of the time of the earth/Urantia and the creation of man, the fallen, JESUS full life and death and ll that was hidden in the other books . I found it very enlightening, and the reasoning for what they call, "maladjusted" thinking.

I've gone over the Tora with my Jewish friends, and Read the K'oran, King James Version, Giddeons Bibles. The book of Enoch caused me to go on her of the quest as he was the beginning prophet great grandfather of Noah. It's been fun comparing, and when they all speak on the same think, I take that as the whole meaning without biased leaning changes/revisions.

Whichever method you choose the most important issue is to isolate the variables.

people demanding concrete results even from a limited period of research ...well its a nag, and not nice to get done if you think you are no fully 'aware / immersed'
but do it, juggle with as-many concepts as you can and deliver it in a striking solution or conclusion.

find more peripheral information or from deeper times
and reapproach the topic with a look to get more concrete results.
