This happened on Tuesday morning in Manchester UK, which has quite a high gun crime reputation. It appears that a man previously arrested and bailed, called the police anonymously, waited for them to turn up and them repeatedly shot the two young female officer.
I was talking to a police officer yesterday who told me that there were grenades let off too and that the general feeling from the police is that they should all carry firearms.
Could there be more to this story behind the scenes? More investigation is required.

More here.

I thought the same thing..

Seems way to strange for this man to go out the way he did. In the papers today it stated he done it so people wouldn't forget him and he would be 'top dog' inside. I don't buy it!

earth humans have no limit on the unbridled barbarian ways to murder another human being. When will we grow up as a species ?

doesn't add up, and the fact it was two female officers, now that's an interesting probability, considering the percentage of females that make up the force

What does it matter if they are male or female?
Are we suppose to be more emotionally charged because they were females?

Police get shot and killed, it is part of the danger they accept when they take the job.
If a brick layer falls to his death from a scaffold would it make the headlines in Avalon?

Just something to ponder about......all life is precious....including those that get shot and killed by police.

You would do well to look at it from a probablistic interpretation, contrary to what you see on television shows, the percentage of cops that die on the job is miniscule, I wouldn't be surprised if you have a greater chance of dying from working in construction. And cops are infested with organized crime so blatant, it's a pity that people judge them based on all those "cop shows"... LOL

But that is the beauty of all that garbage on television, people have this perception of the "dangers of being a cop" ...people think they understand the "court system" and what "lawyers" and "doctors" do from watching all the crap served up on television. Nothing could be farther from the truth, in fact what is seen on television is designed to hide the reality behind all these 'practices'...

Do you ever wonder why television is nothing but fantasy, vampires, supernatural, cops, lawyers, and forensics, and dr's????? I mean who gets to pick these categories????

Anyhow... not to get off topic... Could there be something to it being two females, hell yahhh!! as that is highly improbable. It's called an (outlier) It's very improbable. What it means I don't know, but it immediately catches my attention on just that alone... and if I was involved in it enough I would focus in more closely and try to study more details of the context.... but I don't care enough to, because unfortunately "people" die everyday, but this illusion that cops have a dangerous job, pleeeeze... Sorry to burst your bubble.

Nonetheless from a purely statistical view it is unusual to me. But I leave it to others to look into...
