Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.
One of my favourite authors brought this to my attention:

Nazi-Acquired Buddha Statue Came From Space
(http://www.space.com/17779-nazi-buddha-carved-meteorite.html)

What a headline :biggrin1:

So a statue of Buddha has been carved out of a meteorite piece and the Nazis got a hold of that statue and probably liked it because of the Swastika. So what? ;)

I admit it was the headline that grabbed me more than anything.;)
Odd thing is though the link is to a different page than the one I got it from:eek:

This is how you posted the alleged link:

[U-R-L="Nazi-Acquired Buddha Statue Came From Space"]Nazi-Acquired Buddha Statue Came From Space[/U-R-L] (put in the - at U-R-L to make it visible, otherwise you'd just see a fake link again)

So I edited in a real URL from the first story I found, when I searched for "Nazi-Acquired Buddha Statue Came From Space". This story appears on several websites.

So no conspiracy? Darn.:(

I posted the link the exact same way I have done on here (and other forums) before and had no problem .

You had the URL link syntax fine ... but for the contents of the URL, you put a second copy of the human readable title, not the Internet URL link :).

You originally wrote:

Nazi-Acquired Buddha Statue Came From Space

Christian changed that to:

Nazi-Acquired Buddha Statue Came From Space

nickel iron meteorites have strong yin fields and can be used as a kick start to create a link with a specific deity in the astral world.

This is no ordinary statue

Interesting. I wonder what it is he's holding in the left hand..?

It looks like a small (childs') head (skull) elongated in the back with 4 (or 5?) flames (pillars?).... euwwww!

Well, after reading the whole article, it says:

he identity of the carved man is unclear, but the researchers suspect he may be the Buddhist god Vaisravana, also known as Jambhala. Vaisravana is the god of wealth or war, and he is often portrayed holding a lemon (a symbol of wealth) or moneybag in his hand. The iron man holds an unidentified object in his hand.

so, could be a lemon or a money bag...or....?

Any clues to when and how it was made, tool marks etc? I noticed the necklace as well and more likely made before the Nazi rise to power, is that why the Germans wanted it for their prize because of the similarity with the Swastika?

That made me wonder and think of the three immortals. I have a statue of one of them holding a pomegranate.

I don't honestly know but I would imagine it was probably made a long time prior to their rise.

The arms of the symbol on the statue are reversed from the Nazi Swastika. That reversal has meaning. What the difference is, or even if there is any difference, is up for debate. But changes in direction of flow or spin have meaning in nature. It is possible that is the case here as well.

I'm sure there was a lot of significance in the reversal of this symbol; the fact that it is still called swastika and not hakenkreuz is quite telling as well...

the nazi party was deep into esoteric topics; I haven't been interested enough to research it but I bet there's a lot of fascinating info there.

Don't be silly. He is holding the "Holy Handgrenade" from Monty Python and the Holy Grail!

How weird is that. I just posted the comment above about the Holy Hand grenade and when I turned to look at the TV there was Benjamin Netanyahu on BBC news holding up a diagram of a bomb to illustrate how close Iran is to developing a nuclear weapon. Talk about syncronicity...
