Through a series of measures, Iran has been facing an onslaught of cyberwarfare, special operations, targeted assassinations, and crippling economic sanctions for years now.

~everybody KNOWS that USA gave ISRAHELL Nukes and is 100% illegal & criminal according to all (international) laws. What if China or Russia or both GAVE Nuclear Missiles to Iran to balance this? … it is like “mutual assured destruction” which was the Cold War policy NOT to use Nukes because ultimately no one would survive this and vast majority of the people of Israel & Iran are against wars anyway.
Think about that!
cheers,
John

Iran is not a threat to Israel or the US (if it launches a nuclear attack against either it would be completely annhilated). However, if Iran had nuclear weapons, they would act as a deterent against an invasion (the US wants Iran to remain open for invasion whenever it would want to do so to grab all that oil), and it would encourage other Arab countries to develop such deterents (reducing US control of the region and putting more pressure on Israel about the Palestine issue). Iran with a nuclear weapon somewhat disempowers the US and Israel rather than threatens them, and that is the awful truth.

By the way, it is ironic that the two rogue nuclear nations are bullying a nation that has signed the non-nuclear prolifiration treaty and is a member of NAM. It's like the two most destructive and biggest bullies in the playground demanding that something be done about the kid in the corner who is displaying behaviour that may lead it to become a bully in future. Iran is a sovereign nation and it can either stay true to the treaty it signed and to its partners in NAM, or it can walk away from both and develop nuclear weapons. If it does the latter (openly or secretly), it is betraying the fellow members of the treaty and of NAM. Since neither the US nor Israel have signed that treaty or are members of NAM, it is actually none of their business what Iran chooses to do, and those countries who have signed the treaty and are a member of NAM are not asking for nor wanting their interference.

Besides, there is no proof at all that Iran is developing nuclear weapons.

Sanctions are a crime against humanity.

Obama's government has increasingly taken the US along a path of waging war with less and less risk to US citizens (drones, cyber warfare, sanctions, sabotage through agents).

I wrote a letter to an Arab newspaper expressing my support for and sympathy with the Iranian people (and I will give my assistance to any sanction-busting movement), but I really do not know what else anyone can do. I can't stop this warfare. I can't negotiate a peaceful resolution.

PS In using the terms Israel and US I am referring to the nations as a whole and not to individuals. The individual American, as an individual, is as powerless as I am to stop this, but when we do nothing at all to speak up against what is wrong, we cannot say we are not responsible for evil. It's a paradoxical situation of being powerless but acting anyway.
