I've seen a few doco's on GMOs Paul. That one punched me. Thank you.
I'd call a quarter million suicided Indian farmers genocide, wouldn't you? That's the least of it evidently. The most of it is unknown.
The dread of the unknown is another kind of death.
There will be a day of reckoning. God I wouldn't want to be them. I don't even want to witness it.

Oh.... almost no GMO in Europe... that's good news!
Here is an idea:
Someone should start a website with company names, brands, farms etc, that are suspected (or proved) to get their seeds from GMO plants. The website should be formulated as an information bulletin, a report of data, that people can make use of or not. Ideally a community will form around that to add new reports, and if the interest is there some mobile apps will show up that you can scan the products with to know if the are suspected of being genetically modified.
Obviously there are some challenges with this project, some big companies may attempt to hijack it and so on... but looking at what the open source software community is able to do, proves that such an idea could work. And you don't need any approval from FDA. FDA has power only because people look up to it for answers. By pass it, and make it obsolete :)

It seems that before we find or form such a website, a thread could be formed right here listing known and suspected sources of GMO products.

I posted this yesterday:

... a very long list of food products that contain GMO ingredients in the USA.... I'm would think that any brand name products listed here sold outside of the US have GMO's too.
In other words, just because someone lives in the EU doesn't mean that their favorite US brand breakfast cereal, for example, aren't made with GMO ingredients. Kraft, Knorr, Kelloggs, etc...many brands come to mind.
Any additional info on products sold in the EU (or anywhere) containing GMO ingredients would be useful.

Thanks MorningSong,
It seems someone else had the idea already and did the work too
And there even is a "True Food" app that you can download and use :). Good stuff!
