A tough indoor soccer game left my eye black any quick fixes? I am not looking forward to explaining it to everyone.
Thanks!

Make up; in grocery store match foundation with your skin tone; apply sparingly to cover the "black", use tissue to wipe excess so it does not look too artificially painted over.

Saw this thread upon logging in without opening the actual thread and my little voice screamed, " keep you mouth shut " lol. That's what I should do now. You do need to get that looked at though. You could have damage to your retina. As much as I disagree with modern medicine, there are a few things they do well ( surgery, broken parts, etc)

Witch Hazel will draw all the bruising to the surface...looks worse at first, but will ultimately heal faster.

Arnica gel, oil or cream. A specific remedy for bruising.
Disclaimer:I am not a doctor and you should ignore anything I suggest. :jester:
Listen to AriG. You may have lost an eye and do not know it.

Do not be a referee at next in or out door soccer game if you are not looking forward to explaining it to everyone. If there is no internal bleeding you are lucky, no rupture there , only local muscle tissue damage and it will go away with becoming yellowish color in 5 days

Use very dark sunglasses, which means either black eye or drugs. In case it is the second, nobody will dare asking questions, but they will imagine stuff..... lol
Oh, I forgot: Leave that violent wife of yours (isn't it what everybody automatically think when it is a woman with black eye...);)

I have seen the homeopathic remedy symphytum in 200c potency fade a black eye rather quickly.
this remedy is actually a homeopathy preparation of comfrey. You could also do a comfrey compress. Apply at night and secure in place and sleep with it on. You might know someone who has it in their garden..
everyone should have comfrey in their garden

Duck next time? :p
Many good suggests already, my suggestion is hot and cold compresses alternating ten to fifteen minutes to bring more blood flow and oxygen helps to move the bruising out faster. I personally would add Epsom salts to the hot water compresses . . . . . . Epsom salts draws out aches and bruising and is easily found in many stores, I always have this available around the house. I agree also with Arrowwind and the comfrey

My Mum used to put butter out of the fridge on our bruises and they brought them to the surface quicker and healed faster, you should get it looked at though xxx

this one is a simple one, and helps with the black part of the "black eye" slice a piece of cucumber and gently hold it on your eye.

Get it checked to make sure the retina is OK. There is a preparation called Hirodoid (spelling?) which helps disperse the blood pooling in the eye socket.
I am not a doctor! Just a suggestion!
*Just re-read your post and you ask for alternative cures. This cream is not alternative-- it is sold in pharmacies (not sure if a prescription is needed)---but it works!
