Massive Uplift in the Andean Mountains Bolivia

There has been a massive uplift noticed in the Bolivian Andean Mountains. A large magma blob has risen to the earth's crust creating an uplift of the earth's crust.

Presumably these uplifts and other crustal deformations (which may or may not be precursors to earthquakes or volcanic eruptions) which are now being discussed have occurred throughout the Earth's history. I guess it's no coincidence that these reports coincide with our being able to observe/monitor/measure these movements in away we couldn't do before due to our improved instrumentation. Or is there a subtext here that these are all completely new phenomena that are leading up to catastrophic earth changes?

I think a qualified geologist might be able to help us here...
