View Full Version : Number questions

A similar topic has passed along this week but the view point was somewhat differently.
I - and perhaps you too - have a few questions about numbers which may or may not yet have been answered somewhere out there. I'm not seeking divinatory knowledge and I am not much into numerology as we know it today. I'm looking for something more profound.
Maybe it's interesting if we share our q's and a's here?
Okay, I'll start:
- Why does an hour have 60 units, why not more? And has it ever been different in other regions or times on the planet?
- Similarly why does a minute carry 60 seconds?
- Why are there exactly 12 months in a year (60 being divisible by 12 btw)? Is it really because each season measures 3 months?
- (I'll go fetch the other ones soon...)

And another thing, number sequences:
Number 204 = 2+4 = 6
And if you look at the sequence within the number:
2 0 4 0 .... (What would come next? 6)

Zechariah Sitchins says that 60 was the base number of the Sumerians.

Hey mate,
Fred is correct.
It dates back to the Ancient Babylonians who made astronomical calculations in the sexagesimal (base 60) system they inherited from the Sumerians, who developed it around 2000 B.C.
6, 12, 60, and 360 were seen by them as round numbers.
The Babylonians divided the sky into the 12 signs of the Zodiac, and a circle into 360 degrees. They divided the day and night each into 12 hours. The hour was split into 60 minutes and a minute into 60 seconds.
The number 60 is very convenient for expressing fractions, since 60 is the smallest number divisible by the first six counting numbers as well as by 10, 12, 15, 20 and 30.
Cheers,
Raf.

Speaking of our old friend 60, ever notice the numbers we see every day on phones and/or microwaves? I'm a bit of a compulsive counter, always counting thigs. Like how many steps on a set of stairs, adding the numbers in addresses, that sort of geeky thing.(LOL)
Don't know if it means anything or not, but notice how many of the various number combinations fit neatly into 60. 15 comes up the most, then 20. For instance the four corners: (1+3+7+9=20) Add the whole perimeter=40. (4+5+6=15) (2+5+8=15) (1+5+9=15) (7+5+3=15)
No matter where you turn, you can't avoid divisions of 60. Sure, you'll eventually stumble upon that the 3+6+9 doesn't add up, until you pair it up with it's counter part 1+4+7.

I really love numbers. I just came across this on Tsarion's Forum.

I really want to get the book!

Strange sequences of mirrored numbers: 123+321=444, 234+432=666, 345+543=888, 456+654=1110, 567+765=1332,
but when you take away the smallest number from the larger you get 198 in each case, 321-123=198, 432-234=198, 543-345=198, and so on...
This suggests to me that 198 is special in some way...
EDIT: Oh! and thank's Westhill! I've been looking for a video like that! (posted above) :)

I have one for you , daylight savings time, move one hour ahead, then in nov fall back one hour. lets say it is two oclock. Is it really three ? or one oclock ? which way did we go first ? so we have a three hour variance. We really don't know what time it is, just it's either daytime or nightime, all based on our position to the sun, and the rotation of the earth, what if the earth stopped rotating ?? what time would it be ?

The thing with the Schneider vid is, and I have this with many conspiracy vids, you're watching this stuff for like an hour. And then you go watch the news for like 20 min.
Only to conclude that you've learned much more from the news than from the whistleblowers...So, I do hope the book is more to the point. Anybody read it already?

Oh, I have another question: can people sense numbers?
I'll give an example: one day thinking about two numbers: 11 & 13, I suddenly felt an urge to look at the clock and it showed: 11:13.
If so, do you feel that it has meaning or is it just a coļncidence?

Since daylight savings started in the US during world war 1 to save power for the war effort, I would assume that it moved one hour ahead first of all, to make people go to bed early and turn their lights out.
Still though, I would say if you looked at your watch now it should say NOW O'Clock!

Intriguing.
I bet we don't even know which year we're in.

It could be the unconscious mind drawing your attention to the number, or some outside spiritual force.
I think it's a bit of both.
I feel attracted to certain numbers and sometimes I know the reason
(because it represents a Gematria value or other holy number),
but sometimes I like a number for no reason at all.
I assume my unconscious mind knows why having worked it out,
but I'm just not aware of it.
Anyway, I do believe there is an intelligence behind these synchronicities,
it's just a question of weather it comes from an outside force or from within.
