BREAKING NEWS: David Petraeus resigns as head of CIA after admitting to extra-marital affair

By Daily Mail Reporter

PUBLISHED: 14:58 EST, 9 November 2012 | UPDATED: 15:10 EST, 9 November 2012

David Petraeus today resigned as director of the CIA after admitting an extra-marital affair.

The former general had been one of the most respected figures in the military and intelligence establishment, but has stepped down to deal with the 'personal and professional issues' surrounding his relationship with a woman who is not his wife.

He had been sworn in as head of the CIA in September 2011.

The question has to be - what's the real news behind the "news", and isn't this just a tad of a coincidence so close to the election result....?

on Bengazi Gate.Petraeus is now saying he had an extra marital affair (Bastard) and thats the reason he is stepping down.

A potential 'suicide' victim...?

Noone is in a position of power anywhere these days without a 'blackmail' threat. Paedophiles. Honey-trap victims. Bribery.... they stay there and talk the puppet-talk.
If they try to break free it's tragic - deaths/mental breakdowns/being the fall-guys is their menu once they 'sign-up'! Will folk never learn...?

From USA Today

3:37PM EST November 9. 2012 -
WASHINGTON—CIA Director David Petraeus has resigned from his post citing an extramarital affair,.

In a letter to CIA personnel, Petraeus said he met with President Obama on Thursday and asked to resign because of personal reasons. Today, Obama accepted his resignation, Petraeus said.

"Yesterday afternoon, I went to the White House and asked the President to be allowed, for personal reasons, to resign from my position as D/CIA," Petraeus wrote. "After being married for over 37 years, I showed extremely poor judgment by engaging in an extramarital affair. Such behavior is unacceptable, both as a husband and as the leader of an organization such as ours. This afternoon, the President graciously accepted my resignation."

This is a much longer article than the OP... full article here:

Yeah right, this from a dirt bag who murdered millions of innocent people in how many countries (sorry I lost track). All of the sudden he has to step down because he is unfit to serve after having an affair. WHAT? That's some cool aid there. It's funny how the CIA has screwed up everything they have done lately. Could it be that they failed to get their boy in that would have marched us strait into Iran so he is not needed for the position now. Something stinks.

From Fox News, at: Petraeus resigns after affair with biographer turned up in FBI probe (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/11/09/petraeus-resigns-as-cia-director/):

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The move comes amid the unfolding controversy surrounding the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya. Scrutiny has fallen on a range of agencies including the CIA, and the director had been set to testify at hearings next week -- he is no longer expected to do so.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The bold emphasis was added by myself.

How convenient ... aw gee shucks ... I just happened to discover a mistress in my closet, so I will be unavailable to testify. So sorry chaps.

I also note that it was the FBI "pulling the trigger" on this one. Once again, I doubt that there is a great amount of love lost between the FBI and the CIA.

That's exactly what this is about. He will not be testifying before congress, as he was scheduled to do, and now the CIA will take the heat for Benghazi. He's the fall guy for this sad event.

The news will show blood soaked pictures. Change that blood into semen and all bets are off. We can see bodies with no heads, but not a body getting head.

Our culture is screwed up backwards where death and mayhem are accepted, but sexuality is verboten. Unless it is used to sell something and then it has to be done in a sleazy, titillating manner. Pornography has degrading effects, to be sure, but death and dismemberment are another order of sickness. Death has a permanence about it.

So, mass killer is fine. Adulterers must go. Besides, this story is a cover for something else, (smokescreen) and rats are leaving a ship.

Breaking news? More like breaking wind.

There have been news quotes from CBS and MSNBC on some political sites I follow ( cannot imbed) that the FBI found out about this investigating another incident and the reason this is a big deal is that the mistress/lover whatever was accessing his supposedly secure emails. That kind of leaking is a serious problem and is always something followed through. Eisenhower's mistress was with him in a war bunker and driver 24/7 for just that reason. Continual observation.

A bite:

PETRAEUS
First of all, we aren’t ready to throw Petraeus to the wolves. He came to the CIA in handcuffs, historically tied to the phony war on terror, his role in the “Sunni Awakening” which paid off Baathist terrorists who are now tearing Iraq apart and his job in Afghanistan, having to clean up the mess made by Stanley McChrystal, who, with Richard Hollbrooke, know more about heroin than Arnold Rothstein ever did.
It is obvious that Petraeus was compromised by a foreign power or found to be involved in something so serious that he would destroy his career and reputation in writing rather than some other consequence, typically “suiciding” or arrest.
We share friends and all I know of Petraeus makes this, the most obvious conclusions, very difficult to believe. He is a man of humor and insight though very ambitious.
Who could have “set up” the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency?

He wraps it up thus:

We will wait a few days before hanging General Petraeus “out to dry.”
First come the lies, they are flowing now.
In a few days, I will cajole or pressure the truth out of someone.
Then, depending on what it is, I will or will not be able to print it.
Welcome to Amerika.

I have a theory Paul and it involves Bengazi gate. David Petraeus was groomed to be a great man. He Married the HeadMaster of WestPoint's daughter. He also has strange like Wolverine healing abilities. He was shot in the chest by a M-16
After surgery the next day he wanted to be transfered back to the base. Not your average guy.He is a 4 Star general who is thought to be right next to god in military
circles. Petraeus was getting blackmailed. Remember this is just a theory.
He just couldnt stomach what happened in Bengazi. So he came clean about his affair.

Just so you know, an M16 is a .223 round (.003 larger than a .22 aka, 22 rifle) it doesn't do a lot of damage, it is designed to wound, not kill, as a wounded soldier takes out 3 or more bad guys, a dead soldier only takes out 1.

When something that was truly unexpected by the bastards in power hits the headlines, sometimes the first words out of the gate have some reasonable connection with reality ... before the filters can be properly installed.

But this event, the resignation of Patreus, was obviously known to at least Patreus, and likely some other key players, well in advance.

Therefore any quasi official or normally "reliable" (in the view of the bastards in charge) source is almost certainly lying through their teeth and participating in one of several levels of disinformation and distraction, miles away from the real story.

... well to say "lying" is giving them more clue than they likely deserve ... the mouth pieces for the most part probably have no real clue.

As Gordon Duff says in the Veterans Today article linked above:

Something is very very wrong and it isn’t “Benghazi” and the “Fox News fairly tale” that has President Obama ordering the murder of an American diplomat.
I doubt it is simply an affair with Paula Broadwell either.

But here is the interesting part Christopher Kubasik CEO to be of Lockheed Martin stepped down today for fooling around with another employee.
Lockheed Martin builds drones for the military. You just can't make this up.

You cannot compare ammunition like that ... it's about velocity and weight to create impulse/penetration.

M16 / 5.56 mm

.22

http://guns.connect.fi/gow/aquila.jpg

The M16 ammo has a lot more pow(d)er to create great impulse and can be used for long range too.
It's an assault rifle (AR-15). In an assault you kill because you move forward and you don't want to end up between
troops that are only wounded and are still capable to shoot back while you approach.

A horrible concept ... nothing heroic at all.

You all crack me up!!! Thank you for being in my life!!! I have not watched much TV since 1976 and I have only been reading one fiction book a year (my summer time diversion reading) for about 20 years. I used to read 2 non fiction books a month up until the last 2 years... I read for hours on the internet or listen to content...

I am an information addict..I admit it. Fiction bores me mostly...I find great fun in watching non fiction play out, such as this development. It does not get much better than this :-)

Playing the "affair" card is so very lame in my opinion. Former President Bill Clinton and Hillery survived the sex/affair thing to the point of Hillary being a potential presidential candidate in 2008..and now speculation she may try again in 2016... Hillary stood by her philandering man...hehehehe.. and might be the next president in 2016..don't you think they have an agreement?

Anyway the affair card is a very lame card to play imho...It is obvious to me that there is more to this story than meets the eye!!! I expect time will tell!!!

Much love to us all!!! :grouphug:

LT. COL. RALPH PETERS: The timing is just too perfect for the Obama administration. Just as the administration claimed it was purely coincidence that our Benghazi consulate was attacked on the anniversary of September 11th. Now it’s purely coincidence that this affair -- extra-marital affair -- surfaces right after the election, not before, but right after, but before the intelligence chiefs go to Capitol Hill to get grilled. As an old intelligence analyst, Neil, the way I read this -- I could be totally wrong, this is my interpretation -- is that the administration was unhappy with Petraeus not playing ball 100% on their party-line story. I think it's getting cold feet about testifying under oath on their party-line story. And I suspect that these tough Chicago guys knew about this affair for a while, held it in their back pocket until they needed to play the card.

I don't like conspiracy theories, I may be totally wrong, but the timing of this, again, right after the election and right before Petraeus is supposed to get grilled on Capitol Hill, it's really smells.

Paula Broadwell was embedded with the general, his staff, and his soldiers on the front lines to chronicle his command in the crucible of war. Allowed unprecedented access by Petraeus, his mentors, and his subordinates.
The affair took place before the lie detector.

I'm would bet money on Broadwell, his biographer, having a much more important mission than just gathering details for a book about Petraeus. She is clearly a femme fatale, IMO. I actually think this article is more disinfo than info, but based on other info I am picking up, here and there, on the web, where they want us to look tells me where they don't want us to look.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/fbi-probe-of-petraeus-triggered-by-e-mail-threats-from-biographer-officials-say/2012/11/10/d2fc52de-2b68-11e2-bab2-eda299503684_print.html

I am sure she was tasked with getting him to compromise himself so that he could be controlled, blackmailed, if he became a problem. He had definitely become a problem to some who control things. I think this story is the beginning of something very big. I think our media will do their best to hide the real story. Gordon Duff often goes for a hot story on Sundays. He has to be way ahead of me on this one. He won't avoid controversy either. I wish to have no serious skin in the game. Just a little teaser.

Her job is a typical one for the controllers. Apparently Petraeus is straight and doesn't like little children. She is proof of that.

Here is a post from Foreign Policy over 2 years old. Setting somebody up takes time. Why somebody might get set up is usually buried in recent history. Our short attention span is an ally the PTB use against us. The very good memory of a few of us and the even better archival memory of the internet is an ally we use.

Here is a post from yesterday with some useful information about 'things'. It will inform about how things work and not where to look or how to think about this.

The following paragraph is pulled from the older article:
There are important and powerful lobbies in America: the NRA, the American Medical Association, the lawyers -- and the Israeli lobby. But no lobby is as important, or as powerful, as the U.S. military. While commentators and pundits might reflect that Joe Biden's trip to Israel has forever shifted America's relationship with its erstwhile ally in the region, the real break came in January, when David Petraeus sent a briefing team to the Pentagon with a stark warning: America's relationship with Israel is important, but not as important as the lives of America's soldiers. Maybe Israel gets the message now.

This raised an eyebrow for me ;-

Holly Petraeus, his wife of 37 years, has been a leader in caring for military families with financial problems. Mrs. Petraeus is the assistant director for service member affairs at the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau – in particular going after abusive bank lending practices and questionable home foreclosures.

so, what I first heard, this was related back to Bush is being confirmed... Chris and the CIA were there under his direction for oil

now we find it was top Republicans that released the info that made him resign...

an FBI whistleblower (http://www.emptywheel.net/2012/11/11/why-would-a-whistleblower-go-to-eric-cantor/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=why-would-a-whistleblower-go-to-eric-cantor) went to a Washington Republican who went to Eric Cantor with the info...

the investigation would have been dropped for him to testify if it wasn't for this move...

I guess now we know why Benghazi-gate was never mentioned by Romney or lead Republicans before the election...

I have been following this on political sites and they seemed focused on the following theories: Eric Cantor did this to reduce Petraeus as the inevitable Republican nominee for 2016, Petraeus did this himself feeling he could get over it by that time as the affair had already been over and he could regroup from this easier than being seen as Obama's man, the inner deep shadows of Israel in the US governement did this because Petraeus was on record of not supporting Israel and their POV of the Middle East problems/solutions, and finally, he was just being a man and in known for "mentoring young female militarists/careerists". And finally there is the just a fit virile man enjoys an Angelina Jolie type more than Kathy Bates even if he is committed to her.

Did Petraeus mistress reveal secret CIA prison?
Paula Broadwell may have divulged new information on Benghazi scandal

TEL AVIV – Did Paula Broadwell, the alleged mistress of ex-CIA Director David Petraeus, reveal a secret CIA detention center in Benghazi during a public speech she gave last month?

Broadwell, a former counterterror operative, co-authored a bestselling biography of Petraeus, titled “All In.” She discussed the book during a keynote speech on Oct. 26 at a University of Denver alumni symposium. The speech is available in full on YouTube.

dPaf5OJSskY

During a question-and-answer session, Broadwell was asked about this year’s Sept. 11 attacks against the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

She stated: “Now I don’t know if a lot of you heard this, but the CIA annex had actually had taken a couple of Libya militia members prisoner. And they think that the attack on the consulate was an effort to try to get these prisoners back. So that’s still being vetted.”

The existence of a U.S. prison or CIA detention center in Benghazi would be a new development in the debate surrounding the attacks there. The information does not appear to be publicly known.

An extensive WND search of news media coverage of the Benghazi attacks could find no mention of prisoners being held at the CIA annex.

Yesterday, the New York Times reported that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor spoke to an FBI whistleblower two weeks ago who accused Petraeus of not only having an extramarital affair, but potentially jeopardizing the security of classified information.

During the same university speech, Broadwell may have also divulged information that Petraeus knew “within 24 hours” of CIA annex’s request for reinforcements, reported Israel National News.

“The challenging thing for Gen. Petraeus,” she stated, “is that in his new position, he’s not allowed to communicate with the press. So he’s known all of this – they had correspondence with the CIA station chief in Libya, within 24 hours they kind of knew what was happening.”

Earlier she had said the military could have sent reinforcements.

“They were requesting the – it’s called the C-in-C’s In Extremis Force – a group of Delta Force operators, our very, most talented guys we have in the military. They could have come and reinforced the consulate and the CIA annex.”

Hmm, there’s an interesting fly caught in this ointment: House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. To mix my metaphors madly, he’s the dog that didn’t bark. And his presence here points – for that reason – to another, darker scenario.

Let’s look at a timeline:

• On or about October 30 (reported October 31st), Rear Admiral Charles Gaouette is removed from his command. This was, as news reports noted at the time, “very unusual” and sensitive noses began sniffing.

• As TSHTF on October 31st, the FBI informer who’s supposedly been working separately on the Petraeus case hotfoots it to the House Majority Leader. Why? Why not to Dianne Feinstein, Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence? This is very, very politically hot stuff: The head of the CIA has been compromised on Obama’s watch. It makes no sense to let the info escape the Intelligence Committee to the Majority Leader, except as a political goodie.

• This news comes just six days before a very hard-fought vote. Pure political gold. $$Billions$$ are at stake. And yet Cantor sits on the story. It doesn’t involve him (supposedly), he has no need to know, and yet: He’s in the loop on the Perfect Scandal, and remains publically silent. Karl Rove would have killed for this info. (Unless, of course, he's already got it, and cringing….)

Doesn’t add up.

Alternatively, (oh heck, let’s just run with it…)

• Suppose – for the sake of argument – that the “Seven Days in May” scenario was in force: a rogue group of military, CIA, and politicians was in fact plotting a coup in the event of Obama’s reelection. Certain White Hats (however defined) are aware of this, and monitoring the ring, which possibly implicates Petraeus, among others.

• As the (correct) poll numbers begin to point to the high probability of Obama’s reelection, it becomes necessary – and possible – to remove these conspirators.

• The decapitation begins with Gaouette, just ahead of the election.

• And the watchers wait – to see who else will run freaking from the room…..

• The stooges run straight to implicate Cantor. Ooops for Mr. Cantor.

• Because now there’s another sting in place: the undoing of Mr. Cantor and his friends.

There will be more to this story, I’m sure.

And it won’t necessarily involve hanky-panky in Petraeus’ email. Pass the popcorn, this movie is only beginning.

Most interesting afterthought:

• Suppose Obama now has Cantor strung up by his…. ummm…. thumbs.

• And says to him: “You – and your congressional friends – are over. Unless….unless….you become my new best friend and pass a compromise on this Fiscal Cliff situation… You wanna cooperate?”

• Cantor to Obama: “Yessir. What else would you like?”

Cheers,

If the FBI was really doing a clean up they would arrest some of the Bush administration for minimally allowing the WTC to be hit. They would arrest some in the Obama administration for a continued cover up. They would arrest themselves for not arresting the aforementioned. The buzzfeed article is a hit job from the equally guilty media. The general is no saint, but saint is a black and white polarized term. He saw what happened to the generals who stood up to Rumsfeld. I posted an article a few days ago about a stand he took about the geopolitical situation in the middle east. He is paying for that now. Any one who knows how and who our media serves would be able to connect the dots very easily. Just because one knows that a magician is using tricks and fraud to do his/her act does not prevent the ruse from still appearing very convincingly real.

One of the sleazier implications in the article is that Broadwell will now pay the price the way Monica Lewinsky did.

And Broadwell, too, is about to get slandered in a way no woman deserves. She’s the Pentagon’s Monica Lewinksy — and, despite Team Petraeus’ much advertised lip service to courage and integrity, it didn’t take long for his allies to swarm the press with anonymous quotes smearing the West Point graduate and married mother of two: that she wore “tight clothes,” as The Washington Post reported, or that she had her “claws in him.” In other words, how could Old Dave have resisted that ****’s charms?
This little part of the story is an attempt to manage the facts by getting ahead of them and inserting the argument before the narrative picks up steam. The counterargument to an argument that has not found its own legs is being put into the public awareness/conversation. Monica was put up to her job as was Paula. The control of politicians is a must for the unseen hands. You have to know and understand their tactics to be able to see the unbroken lines under all of the dotted and dashed lines of noise that the controlled media will put out to create a fog of war.

Buzzfeed would be better names BSfeed. It is probably just what its coded meaning is.

As I find little bits of info that lead me to conclude that Petraeus angered the wrong people, and found himself in an affair with someone (a watcher/compromiser) sympathetic to those who felt he had strayed, I will post them. This quote is pulled from a long article, something the writer is known for.

Petraeus benefited from supporting Bush imperial ambitions and Israel’s regional agenda. At one time, the Israeli Lobby loved him. Perhaps no longer after March 2010. In testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee, he said:
“The enduring hostilities between Israel and some of its neighbors present distinct challenges to our ability to advance our interests in the AOR (Area of Operations).”
“Israeli-Palestinian tensions often flare into violence and large-scale armed confrontations. The conflict foments anti-American sentiment, due to a perception of US favoritism for Israel.”
“Arab anger over the Palestinian question limits the strength and depth of US partnerships with governments and peoples in the AOR and weakens the legitimacy of moderate regimes in the Arab world.”
“Meanwhile, al-Qaeda and other militant groups exploit that anger to mobilize support. The conflict also gives Iran influence in the Arab world through its clients, Lebanese Hizballah and Hamas.”
In other words, Petraeus echoed others saying Israeli interests often run counter to America’s. The so-called special relationship at times does more harm than good.
At the same time, Petraeus very much supports Washington’s imperial agenda. Apparently he believes achieving it depends on delinking from Israeli interests when they harm America’s.
Anti-Defamation League head Abe Foxman responded angrily, saying:
“Gen. Petraeus has simply erred in linking the challenges faced by the US and coalition forces in the region to a solution of the Israeli-Arab conflict, and blaming extremist activities on the absence of peace and the perceived US favoritism for Israel. This linkage is dangerous and counterproductive.”
This may have contributed to his leaving. Challenging Israeli Lobby power is high-risk. Perhaps it decided Petraeus had to go.

Petraeus 'shocked by girlfriend's emails'
By Kimberly Dozier and Pete Yost,
AAP November 13, 2012, 7:59 pm

http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/world/15371982/petraeus-shocked-by-girlfriends-emails/

CIA director David Petraeus was shocked to learn last (northern) summer that his mistress was suspected of sending threatening emails warning another woman to stay away from him, former staff members and friends say.

Petraeus, who led US military efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan, resigned his CIA post on Friday, acknowledging his extramarital affair with his biographer-turned-lover and expressing deep regret.

The scandal has rocked Washington, where members of congress demanded to know why a months-long probe that ended the former general's storied career was kept quiet for so long.

Petraeus told associates his relationship with the second woman, Tampa socialite Jill Kelley, was platonic, though his lover Paula Broadwell apparently saw her as a romantic rival.

The retired general also denied to these associates that he had given Broadwell any of the sensitive military information alleged to have been found on her computer, saying anything she had must have been provided by other commanders during her reporting trips to Afghanistan.

Kelley, the Tampa woman, began receiving harassing emails in May, according to two federal law enforcement officials. The emails led Kelley to report the matter, eventually triggering the investigation that led Petraeus to resign as head of the intelligence agency.

FBI agents traced the alleged cyber harassment to Broadwell, the officials said, and discovered she was exchanging intimate messages with a private Gmail account. Further investigation revealed the account belonged to Petraeus under an alias.

Petraeus and Broadwell apparently used a trick, known to terrorists and teenagers alike, to conceal their email traffic, one of the law enforcement officials said.

Rather than transmitting emails to the other's inbox, they composed at least some messages and instead of transmitting them, left them in a draft folder or in an electronic "dropbox", the official said. Then the other person could log onto the same account and read the draft emails there. This avoids creating an email trail that is easier to trace.

Broadwell had co-authored a biography titled All In: The Education of General David Petraeus, published in January. In the preface, she said she had met Petraeus in the spring of 2006 while she was a graduate student at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and she ended up following him on multiple trips to Afghanistan as part of her research.

But the contents of the email exchanges between Petraeus and Broadwell suggested to FBI agents that their relationship was intimate.

The FBI concluded relatively quickly - by late summer at the latest - that no security breach had occurred, the two senior law enforcement officials said. But the FBI continued its investigation into whether Petraeus had any role in the harassing emails.

Petraeus, 60, told one former associate he began an affair with Broadwell, 40, a couple of months after he became the director of the CIA late last year. They mutually agreed to end the affair four months ago, but they kept in contact because she was still writing a dissertation on his time commanding US troops overseas, the associate said.

FBI agents contacted Petraeus, and he was told that sensitive, possibly classified documents related to Afghanistan were found on her computer. He assured investigators they did not come from him, and he mused to his associates that they were probably given to her on her reporting trips to Afghanistan by commanders she visited in the field there. The FBI concluded there was no security breach.

During a talk last month at the University of Denver, Broadwell caught attention when she said the CIA had detained people at a secret facility in Benghazi, Libya, and the September 11 attack on the US consulate and CIA base there was an effort to free those prisoners.

A Petraeus associate said the retired general was shocked to find out about Broadwell's emails to Kelley.

Petraeus told former staffers and friends that he was friends with Kelley and her surgeon husband, Scott, and regularly visited their home overlooking Tampa Bay.

Jill Kelley, 37, served as a sort of social ambassador for US Central Command, hosting parties for the general when Petraeus was commander there from 2008-10.

A photo shows Petraeus and his wife, Holly, with the Kelleys and Jill's identical twin sister Natalie Khawam in the Kelleys' front yard, decked out in party beads with a pirate flag in the background.

Kelley regularly kept in touch with then-General Petraeus when he became commander of the Afghan war effort, the two exchanging near-daily emails and instant messages, two of his former staffers say. But those messages were exchanged in accounts that his aides monitored as part of their duties and were not romantic in tone, the staffers said.

Petraeus and his family are devastated over the affair, especially Holly Petraeus, who "is not exactly pleased right now", after 38 years of marriage, said Steve Boylan, a friend and former Petraeus spokesman who spoke to him over the weekend.
"Furious would be an understatement," Boylan told ABC television's Good Morning America. The couple has two adult children, including a son who led an infantry platoon in Afghanistan as an Army lieutenant.

Top U.S. commander in Afghanistan under investigation, scandal widens
Reuters November 13, 2012, 8:09 pm
By Phil Stewart

http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/world/15372018/top-u-s-commander-in-afghanistan-under-investigation-scandal-widens/

ABOARD A U.S. MILITARY AIRCRAFT (Reuters) - The top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, General John Allen, is under investigation for alleged inappropriate communication with a woman at the centre of the scandal involving former CIA Director David Petraeus, a senior U.S. defence official said on Tuesday.

The shocking revelation threatens to fell another of the U.S. military's biggest names and suggests that the scandal involving Petraeus - a former four-star general who had Allen's job in Afghanistan before moving to the CIA last year - could expand much further than previously imagined.

The U.S. official said the FBI uncovered between 20,000 and 30,000 pages of communications - mostly emails and spanning from 2010 to 2012 - between Allen and Jill Kelley, who has been identified as a long-time friend of the Petraeus family and a Tampa, Florida, volunteer social liaison with military families at MacDill Air Force Base.

It was Kelley's complaints about harassing emails from the woman with whom Petraeus had had an affair, Paula Broadwell, that prompted an FBI investigation, ultimately alerting authorities to Petraeus' involvement with Broadwell. Petraeus resigned from his job on Friday.

Asked whether there was concern about the disclosure of classified information, the official, on condition of anonymity, said: "We are concerned about inappropriate communications. We are not going to speculate as to what is contained in these documents."

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said in a statement given to reporters flying with him to Australia that he had asked that Allen's nomination to be Commander of U.S. European Command and Supreme Allied Commander Europe be delayed "and the president has agreed".

Allen, who is now in Washington, was due to face a Senate confirmation hearing on Thursday, as was his slated successor in Afghanistan, General Joseph Dunford.

The FBI referred the case to the Pentagon on Sunday and Panetta directed the Defense Department's Inspector General to handle the investigation. Panetta informed the top Republican and Democrat on the Senate Armed Services Committee during the flight to Australia. The House Armed Services Committee was also notified.

The U.S. defense official said that Allen denied any wrongdoing and that Panetta had opted to keep him in his job while the matter was under review, and until Dunford can be confirmed to replace him - a process that gains urgency given the potentially lengthy review process and the cloud it could cast over the mission in Afghanistan.

"While the matter is under investigation and before the facts are determined, General Allen will remain commander of ISAF," Panetta said, referring to the NATO—led force in Afghanistan.

Only hours earlier, Panetta had said he was reviewing Allen's recommendations on the future U.S. presence in Afghanistan after most troops withdraw by the end of 2014.

Commending Allen's leadership in Afghanistan, Panetta said in his statement: "He is entitled to due process in this matter."

At the same time, he noted that he wanted the Senate to act "promptly" on Dunford's nomination.

The U.S. official said Panetta was informed of the matter involving Allen on Sunday, as he flew to Hawaii, after the Pentagon's top lawyer called Panetta's chief of staff. The White House was informed next.

FBI RAID, SHIRTLESS PHOTOS

Evidence that the case involving Petraeus was not fully closed came late Monday when FBI agents searched the Charlotte, North Carolina house of Broadwell.

Agents entered the house carrying boxes at around 9 p.m. (0200 GMT Tuesday) and about four hours later took away what appeared to be two computers and about 10 boxes.

During the search, agents inside could be seen moving through multiple rooms, gathering materials and taking photos. They did not comment to reporters gathered outside the house.

Broadwell's family was not at home at the time of the raid. The FBI and a Justice Department official would not comment on the reason for the raid.

U.S. officials had said in recent days that their investigation was largely complete and that prosecutors had determined it was unlikely they would bring charges in that case, which started when Kelley contacted an FBI agent in Tampa about harassing emails from an anonymous source.

That FBI agent, who has not been identified, has also come under scrutiny after it was discovered he had sent shirtless photographs of himself to Kelley, but "long before" this investigation, a law enforcement official told Reuters. The photographs were first reported by the Wall Street Journal.

The agent had never been on the Broadwell case, but had taken the information about the emails to the FBI cyber squad in Tampa, the law enforcement official said.

The FBI agent who works in the Tampa office apparently became frustrated at the pace of the investigation and complained to a member of Congress about it, the official said.

The FBI investigation of the emails received by Kelley traced them to Broadwell and subsequently uncovered emails that revealed an affair between Broadwell and Petraeus.

The emails between the two women were of a "childish", jealous nature and showed some one-upmanship of trying to come across as being more important to Petraeus, the official said.

When Petraeus resigned as CIA director on Friday he publicly admitted to having engaged in an extramarital affair.

Lawmakers and others have questioned whether Broadwell, who co-wrote a biography of the decorated former general, obtained classified information from him or another source.

Panetta had earlier said Petraeus did the right thing by stepping down, given potential security concerns, even as he said he was saddened by the end of the retired general's distinguished career.

A little more from the BSfeed article. It really paints a picture of a sociopathic, possibly psychopathic, person:

Broadwell was sold to publishers as much for her looks as what she was writing — she was an attractive package to push Petraeus and his counterinsurgency ideas. Little, Brown editor Geoff Shandler once told me how “hot” he thought Broadwell was after she came in to meet him at his office, and indicated to me that Broadwell had made him somewhat aroused. Intellectual integrity all around, to be sure.
Ricks blurbed her in All In, and earlier had promoted her content on his blog — the oddly titled Travels With Paula, a headline he slapped to a story about the U.S. military’s total destruction of a small village in southern Afghanistan. Broadwell described the ultra-violent wipeout in favorable terms — and when she was confronted with an angry villager whose house had been destroyed, she wrote that the Afghan’s tears and anger were a “a fit of theatrics.”

The highlighted words indicate the warm glow some people feel when whole villages get wiped out. Especially Muslim ones. I bet this primed her for a session of dicktation from the general. A warm glow will do that. :thumb:

BTW, the proper term for her is "honey trap".

I think you are spot on Modwiz

Now, as of this morning, another general is accused to have sent a ton of menacing e-mail to other people - another general to be sacked.

The saga goes on, I heard this on radio, newspaper article will come out most probably today.

Armies are notorious for raising psychopaths at their tops. The Canadian army had a good reputation precisely because they would avoid this. However, since Harper government and since the last 10-15 years, it has not been the case. Re: colonel Williams who was murdering women, he was the next in line for becoming a general. This was genuine psychopath, not imo temporary brain imbalance.

We may have here: Israel wanting to sack people against them (meaning here Netanahyou and zionists), Obama wanting to get rid of warlords, who knows, FBI having a teeth agains CIA, and some general are the ideal recipients for all of them.

What surprises me though is that all the problems are ultimately related to sex disfunctions or too much function (lol), as Colonel Williams was. This is a typical psychopathic pattern: power, invincibility, inflicting suffering, over sexed, lies and all that follows is then there as well.

There's also a solar eclipse today, this could shift something...

TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE SUN: Thousands of sky watchers (and a few scientists, too) have converged on the coast of Queensland, Australia, near Cairns to witness a total eclipse on Nov. 14th (Nov. 13th in the USA). Starting at 6:38 am local time in Cairns, the black disk of the Moon will cover the sun for two full minutes--a spectacular sight. what I meant Modwiz is that all psychopaths have problems related to sex: oversexed, pedophiles, real weird sex (maniacs for example), it is a constant.

so, to hang a psychopath, it is easy to take this route. This is not to say that ordinary people do not have sex problems as well, they do, however it is a constant in psychopaths. Like in companies when you want to get rid of someone you go through each item of its expense account because you know you will find mistakes (in 2 yeras of expense accounts, impossible not to have a few, sometime just a few dollars) that you can say are fraud, same with psychopaths, you check at sex related misbehavior because you know you will find it and be able to use it.

I am saying that they have been framed on vile but minor actions in order to get rid of them (other psychopaths love to frame their counterpart that way, it is also a message to others)

I think he (Modwiz) is commenting on the "vile but minor actions" you speak of... infedelity is hardly anything un-natural or "vile", perhaps distasteful but it is as common to humanity as anything I can think of.

I'd also like to add that out of the some 1,430,895 people are on active duty in the military, with an additional 848,000 people in the seven reserve components; there are not very many "psychopaths" present, probably a 99% / 1% pattern fits here.

lets keep that in mind when labeling every military person a psycopath (or eluding to that fact); you're including me and many others in that label set & it's just not true & indicitive of a pre-judgement issue that society (humanity) seems to fall back on often.

You are entirely right, in the military, people with psychopath personnalities are probably in the order of 4% like in the general population, and in the military, like in the general population, it is from those 4% that the higher brass is generated from. We are the 99%, they are the 1%... this is true for the military as well. in conclusion, I see no reason for higher military management not to have a higher rate (percentage) of pshychopaths than the average, like it is in any large enterprise.

I am not predudging here, I am just naming stats and applying them to military. Another contant in the 4% psychopaths is the sexual misbehaviors that are generally not minor (they are really screwed up with sex on average), but it may be minor. For sure, this can ALWAYS be used to nail them on whatever. In the military as well, this is not different.

Now, having a mistress may not be vile, but using one's position of power to have power over them may be. In this case with this general, she may have used her own position as well. To me they were more equals than anything else, in this case. But for the sake of discussion, let me check the word vile in the dictionary, it must be a term stronger than I imagined -

Lets cut the bull, I am French speaking, our sensitivity to mistresses and cheating is much weaker than for the American world, we don't care about these and we laugh at Americans who do. This was definitly not a prejudgment on these behaviors.

However, yes, I do think that there is more psychopaths at the top of organisations, including in the military. i have seen it first hand when I was a typist for the military at 17 years old (my one and only time working for them)and how much harrassment i had to endure, all covert of course up to my own place though. The last thing I wanted was to work for a general and I managed to avoid it.

Edit:

ok here it is

Webster:

a: morally despicable or abhorrent <nothing is so vile as intellectual dishonesty>

b: physically repulsive : foul <a vile slum>

2

: of little worth or account : common; also: mean

3

: tending to degrade <vile employments>

4

: disgustingly or utterly bad : obnoxious, contemptible <vile weather> <had a vile temper

The term was too strong for what I meant.

I would replace vile by...... you tell me: ugly, slimy, unworthy (synomymous dictionary)

I just heard on an interview that he/she/they actually were using g.mail! LOL! This is a big joke.....I seriously think that this ridiculous scenario of BS is going to blow up in their face and it will become clear that nothing is as it seems and the real scenario will blow some minds for sure!

Petraeus and Broadwell would leave messages in the drafts folder of a shared Gmail account, according to a law enforcement official who spoke to the AP. This trick allowed them to see each others' messages without creating an easily traceable email trail.

"Petraeus and Broadwell apparently used a trick, known to terrorists and teenagers alike, to conceal their email traffic, one of the law enforcement officials said.

Rather than transmitting emails to the other's inbox, they composed at least some messages and instead of transmitting them, left them in a draft folder or in an electronic "dropbox," the official said. Then the other person could log onto the same account and read the draft emails there. This avoids creating an email trail that is easier to trace."

The Washington Post reports that this tactic has been used by al-Qaeda terrorists as far back as 2005.

Obama backs Allen over Petraeus sex scandal
AFP Updated November 14, 2012, 8:53 am

http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/world/15373779/obama-backs-allen-over-petraeus-sex-scandal/

WASHINGTON (AFP) - President Barack Obama gave his backing to the commander of US forces in Afghanistan on Tuesday after the top general was dragged into the sex scandal that brought down CIA director David Petraeus.

General John Allen was placed under investigation after FBI agents probing email threats sent by Petraeus' mistress stumbled upon a vast trove of "flirtatious" messages Allen sent to another woman at the heart of the scandal.

According to a senior Pentagon official, Allen denies any sexual liaison with the woman, 37-year-old Tampa socialite Jill Kelley, but the "sheer volume" of correspondence could be found to amount to "conduct unbecoming an officer."

Due to face lawmakers this week for a hearing to confirm his promotion to the post of NATO's supreme commander in Europe, Allen will now return to Kabul and remain in charge in Afghanistan until the investigation is over.

"I can tell you that the president thinks very highly of General Allen and of his service to his country, as well as the job he has done in Afghanistan," White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters.

"He has faith in General Allen," he added, referring reporters' questions on the inquiries into both Allen and Petraeus to the Pentagon, the FBI and the Justice Department.

Washington was already reeling from Petraeus' shock resignation when it learned that Allen -- who served with him in Iraq and at US Central Command in Tampa, Florida -- had also been caught up in the scandal.

Petraeus resigned last week when it became clear that his affair with married 40-year-old military reservist Paula Broadwell, a military academic who wrote a fawning biography of the general, would become public.

FBI agents stumbled on the liaison after a complaint from Kelley -- a married Tampa woman and close friend of both Petraeus and Allen -- who told a federal agent that she had received threatening emails.

Investigators traced the mails to Broadwell's account and discovered that she had been in a relationship with Petraeus, despite both being married.

The threatening emails she had sent to Kelley -- who told investigators she did not know Broadwell -- suggest the biographer was jealous of the socialite's rapport with the generals at US Central Command in Florida.

In one, according to the Wall Street Journal, Broadwell claimed she had seen Kelley touching "him" provocatively under the table. It is not clear who "him" was.

It emerged Tuesday that the agents had also discovered that Allen had sent a huge number of mails to Kelley, triggering an investigation into whether he had broken the law or any military regulations during the friendship.

In all, the FBI is investigating between 20,000 to 30,000 pages of Allen's correspondence, a Pentagon official told reporters traveling with US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta to Australia.

The Washington Post, citing a senior military official close to Allen, reported that the correspondence included 200 to 300 emails between Kelley and the general.

Petraeus and Broadwell were interviewed separately by investigators in late October and early November and both admitted to the affair.

Petraeus reportedly planned to remain in office and tough it out until last week, when the realization that the scandal was about to go public prompted him to offer Obama his shock resignation.

Petraeus had been due to testify to Congress this week on the September 11 assault in Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans, including US ambassador Chris Stevens and two former Navy SEALs working for the CIA.

The attack, which targeted the US consulate and a secret CIA-run annex, raised questions about whether staff were adequately protected as they operated in the chaotic aftermath of last year's Arab Spring uprising.

Now US legislators also want to know why the FBI and the Justice Department did not notify them or the White House sooner about the Petraeus investigation.

The inquiry comes at a sensitive time for Allen and the Pentagon, who are preparing their recommendations to the White House on the political hot button topic of the number of US troops to keep in Afghanistan until 2014.

Petraeus took command of the CIA 14 months ago, retiring from the military after a glittering career that saw him lead the 101st Airborne, the US war in Iraq, its CENTCOM regional command and international forces in Afghanistan.

The retired four-star general, who presided over the 2007 troop "surge" in Iraq, is widely credited with turning the tide of the US war there, though similar efforts have been less successful in Afghanistan.

On Monday, FBI agents searched Broadwell's North Carolina home, removing bags, boxes and pictures, local media reported. The mother of two has not been seen at her home since Petraeus resigned over the affair.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation itself has also come under scrutiny.

On Tuesday, the Wall Street Journal reported that the FBI agent Kelley contacted about the threatening emails, a personal acquaintance of hers, brought the matter to the attention of Republican lawmakers.

The agent apparently believed the bureau was not moving aggressively enough with the investigation, suspecting that his superiors were keen to protect the Democratic president from the fallout.

FBI supervisors had earlier barred the agent from any involvement in the case after he became "obsessed" with the matter, the Journal said.

It quoted one official as saying the agent had sent shirtless photos to Kelley well before the email investigation had begun, and said he is currently under investigation by the internal affairs arm of the FBI.

That is hysterical SF!!

However I really do not understand your use of the word "vulgar"? Is it the word snatch that you think is "vulgar"? Or the whole "All up in my snatch" line ?

I was just being courteous in case "All Up In My Snatch" did offend anyone......personally I don't find it offensive and occasionally I even find myself involved in some snatch every now and then too.....fortunately my "snatch episodes" do not get the national attention some other people's snatch episodes do.

they had access to whistleblowers...

one of their first calls was to Glenn Beck, he knew weeks before the President did... before the congressman in Washington, referred to Eric Cantor, who kept it quiet...

we have one twin who could be bipolar capable of anything, at the fingertips of National Secrets and whistleblowers... no worries...

The shockwaves of the Petraeus affair are still being felt in Washington. Predictably, the media focus is on the prurient nation of the scandal, but this is no ordinary sex scandal. Join us tonight on the program as we look at some of the implications of the affair from "access" journalism to blackmail to Benghazi and CIA secret prisons and the question of who will step in to fill his shoes.

Broadwell seems to be an egotistic nut job (and a big-time security risk)!!! and Petraeus seems to be a complete idiot!!!!

New Video Of Broadwell In Aspen Raises More Questions

The video shows Broadwell making comments in Aspen for the Aspen Institute on July 28 at the Aspen Security Conference. It was simply entitled “Media Panel,” but nobody there had any idea of the story that was to come.

Broadwell spoke of her time with now former CIA Director David Petraeus.

“I was embedded with Gen. Petraeus in Afghanistan, and it was a little confusing to some of the folks there because I am also a military reservist with a top secret FBI clearance and then some,” Broadwell told the audience.

Petraeus enlisted for Call of Duty cameo

David Petraeus has landed on his feet with a new gig in Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

The retired Army general who stepped down as CIA director last week amid a scandal surrounding his extramarital affair pops up in the highly anticipated Activision Blizzard first-person shooter game released on Tuesday.

Halo 4 hits US$220 million on launch day

Microsoft said its Halo 4 video game racked up US$220 million (NZ$269 million) in global sales on its launch day, beating records set by previous instalments of the hit series.

Action-shooter Halo 4, released last Tuesday, is on its way to reaching US$300 million in global sales in its first week, making it the biggest launch in the decade-old Halo franchise's history, the company said.

Throw some sex and scandal to the MSM – and they’ll hie themselves toward it like a ravenous wolf pack on the scent of a hot bi*ch, toward whatever diversionary bait they’ve been thrown. Never mind the real story – the MSM hounds are baying in heat in search of sex, scandal and ratings. Yes, clicks and ratings. Never mind truth, that’s so-o-o-o-o last century. The only thing that matters now is money….

Meanwhile, We Who Are Officially Mocked continue to search for the actual truth. Good thing none of us actually expect to get rich doing this.

A lot of Gordon Duff's first runs are now happening at the Presstv. Iranian site. I think he gets paid for his articles there if they are allowed to run there first. A few days later they are on VT. I can understand this arrangement. Anyway, here is an article that goes way beyond the headline about the drone invading Iranian airspace. A piece pertaining to the headline:

The issue is not one of a need to gather intelligence, to spy, but violation of sovereignty and more, placing known weapons platforms in violation of airspace, a credible threat.

With the history of the use of drones by the US, thousands of civilians killed by Raptor and Predator drones, Hellfire missiles fired onto funerals and weddings, innocent vehicles and, friendly fire incidents, the reporting of which are always censored, a drone entering airspace is to be accepted as a “bombing attack.”

In fact, the US has established the “right of hot pursuit” and repeatedly misconstrued the use of drones to target suspected militants for assassination using “area munitions” with an extremely high probability of “collateral damage.”

The right claimed by the US is based on the assumption that any person on earth that owns a weapon or is thought to have owned one or who may or may not have met with someone who has been critical of US policy is a “terrorist suspect” and, thus, subject to execution even if that means the destruction of an entire village in the process.

This right, by the US, according to legal opinions submitted by the same two US Attorney Generals aided by “think tank” experts with dual Israeli/American citizenry, also authorized the indeterminate arrest and detention without probable cause of any person on earth, even American citizens, authorized their torture for years and authorized any information given while under torture to be admissible though America’s highest law, the constitution specifically prohibits any acts of “cruel and unusual punishment.”
(Eighth Amendment to the United States Constitution - 1787)

A bit of expansion here and why this post is in this thread:

ROGUE MILITARY THEORY

A few weeks ago, one of the top US commanders in the region was found “unfit” and physically “removed” from an aircraft carrier that was actively approaching Iranian waters.

Admiral Gaouette is one of several high ranking US military officers in the region to be summarily dismissed. General Petraeus, CIA Director, resigned this week though the inane ramblings of the conspiratorial “pop culture press” has yet to discover ties to the increasingly heated situation in the Persian Gulf.

Are the other conspiracies being “sold” to the public to hide one far more serious? In America, a top official can be destroyed for loyalty and service as much as for acts of irresponsibility.

Petraeus could well be the victim of his own 2010 report, 82 pages, citing Israel’s destabilizing policies in the region as an impediment to US goals.

Within hours after Petraeus resigns, Israel begins shelling Syria. Is this a coincidence?

The story behind the smoke screen may be one of the biggest in American history. This is a big stay tuned.

My present theory on these events:

It's a major conflict between (1) CIA, FBI, Neocons, Zionists, Bush, Clinton, Obama, mercenaries, banksters, ... and (2) career diplomats in the US State Dept and career military under the US Dept of Defense (along with whom else?).
The CIA is smuggling weapons out of Benghazi into Syria, arming the "terrorists" for the next round of Middle East conflict.
The CIA (not the US Military) is the main user of drones for "targeted" assassinations, with direct Obama involvement (one of the perks of office Obama enjoys.)
Deceased Ambassador Christopher Stevens was an "Arabist" .. knowledgeable in the culture, language and ways of Arabs. He apparently was not on board with the continuing provocation of conflict in the Middle East, and/or the weapons smuggling, so he had to go.
Stevens was killed, by CIA/Zionist directive. The Special Forces soldiers assigned to guard him were collateral damage.
The US Military wanted to send in support for these soldiers guarding Stevens.
Rear Admiral Charles M. Gaouette and General Carter Ham were both fired on the spot for ordering air support into Benghazi. Gaouette was commanding Carrier Strike Group Three at the time. General Ham was head of U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) at the time. Gaouette and Ham were both fired as soon as they disobeyed orders from the White House to stand down.
General Petraeus (even as CIA Directory of Central Intelligence - DCI) wasn't trusted by the CIA, Obama, et al crowd.
General Petraeus had written in a statement to the Senate Armed Services Committee, made March of 2010 that Israel's interests presented "distinct challenges" to American interests (see here (http://www.commentarymagazine.com/topic/central-command/).)
Petraeus was fired. He was allowed to wait until a couple days after the election, and was allowed to fall on his own (virtual) sword.
Gordon Duff's (of VeteransToday.com) support of Obama and opposition to the Zionists, which would paint Obama on the (2) US Military side of this major conflict, is disinformation.
Gordon Duff's lamenting that Obama is tied to the 9/11 mythology of the Bush's (http://www.veteranstoday.com/2012/11/13/press-tv-obama-saddled-with-mythology-of-911/) and his suggestion that Obama should bust Netanyahu for 9/11 (http://www.veteranstoday.com/2012/11/12/now-its-payback-time-why-obama-should-bust-netanyahu-for-911/) are more disinformation.
This disinformation of Duff's is a modest part of an ongoing and major propaganda effort to paint Obama in opposition to the Bush, Clinton, CIA, Neocon, Zionist, ... crowd. Obama is no such thing. Or at the least (a) the two figures most linked to the disaster in Benghazi, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Petraeus, are no such thing, (b) the figure most linked with Fast and Furious, Eric Holder, is no such thing, and (c) the figure most linked to the administration’s economic failures, Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner, is no such thing. All these, Clinton, Petraeus, Holder and Geithner, have left or announced they will leave Obama's administration, since the US Elections, a week ago.
The several news stories of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu supporting Mitt Romney over Obama for US President are more of the same disinformation.

Look at this guys, the same firing happened to a Politburo high ranking military person based on sex scandal and underneath gossips saying it was due to corruption upon an arm sales deal with Irak.

The story is similar to the American, being fired upon a sex scandal, the underneath story being a possible arm deals with terrorist in Syria and Steven realted killing in Lybia.

Would there be a link in between both stories? Similarities too strange to be serendipity.

http://uk.reuters.com/article/2012/11/10/us-iraq-russia-arms-idUKBRE8A909020121110

The arms agreements were a sensitive issue for Iraq. U.S. military hardware remains key for Iraq's armed forces, but the Russian deal had appeared to open a way for Maliki to push back against U.S. pressure by diversifying his arms suppliers.

The Russian sale was agreed just as Washington warned Maliki, who is close to Shi'ite Iran, to curb Iranian flights ferrying weapons through Iraqi airspace to aid Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in his fight against a revolt there.

...

"Our need for weapons still stands so we will renegotiate new contracts," Moussawi said. "This is a precautionary measure because of suspected corruption."

...

Russia's daily Kommersant said the contract envisaged the delivery of surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery weapon systems, MiG-29M/M2 aircraft as well as armoured vehicles and attack helicopters.

NO. 2 IN IRAQ

The deals would have made Russia the second largest military supplier to Iraq after the United States, which has sold Baghdad billions of dollars in arms including F-16 fighters and tanks since the 2003 invasion that ousted Saddam Hussein.

But the Russian agreements fit into the wider context of Maliki's juggling interests over the war against Syria's Assad. Iran and Russia support Assad, while the rebels fighting him are backed by Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Western powers.

...

"One should not rule out pressure from the United States, which certainly does not want to let the Iraqi government - a buyer of American arms or arms from suppliers that are U.S. allies - out of its zone of control," said Ivan Konovalov, a military expert in Moscow.

News of the cancellation also came at a time when Russia has been entangled in a series of corruption scandals involving its defense ministry and its space ministry.

On Friday, President Vladimir Putin fired the chief of his military staff, days after sacking the defense minister over a corruption and sleaze scandal.

...

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970204349404578102743502945874.html

Mr. Putin has rarely dismissed members of his inner circle since coming to power in 2000, preferring dignified departures. But investigators moved against the outgoing defense minister, Anatoly Serdyukov, last week with a raid on the apartment of his putative mistress, who also worked at a firm that is suspected of siphoning assets of the defense ministry.

i think both sides were in bed(s) with the same trading, litterally and figuratively. They were either both:
sleeping with the same spy, in which case we never mention her military rank and make sure she cannot be useful anylonger
and
selling to the same people to make sure war is well underway

or

both side involved were aware of bribing and were going to blow the wistle on the trading both governments are doing together to make sure the war is on

and

the war is coming and we have to make sure people do not know about this

or

the war is coming and we have to make sure any relationship between parties is broken before it starts.

If the people of America are made aware that both sides are hand in hand to create war by selling arms and agreeing on this, and that Israel is the center piece to procede, nor Putin nor Obama may have the approval of the people.

But both sides may also be selling arms to opposite parties, supported by US on one hand and Russia on the other. Funny, but I doubt that they would not be hand in hand.

Who’s afraid of Gordon Duff?
Posted on November 14, 2012 by kbarrett

If we untie the Gordian-knotty hyperbolese, Mr. Duff is telling us: “Don’t just accept what I say, or what anyone else says. I can’t tell the whole, literal truth about everything I know, because various bad things would happen if I did.”

And: “I say this kind of thing because I need to come across as a loose cannon, otherwise I couldn’t do what I do and stay alive.”

Does this make me mistrust him?

Not really.

The people I really worry about are the ones who claim to be telling “nothing but the truth” but actually lie and distort as they undermine the info-war for truth.
Another nice line:

So if Gordon is only putting out 40% BS, that puts him 60% ahead of the New York Times.

Just engaging in some playful idea tossing. This is not a refutation, per se. The unhighlighted text has some sound ideas, IMO.

Just engaging in some playful idea tossing. This is not a refutation, per se. The unhighlighted text has some sound ideas, IMO.

I'd say that matches pretty closely what I've observed of Duff's writing... there is (to me) clearly some flamboyant idea's added in; perhaps as a shield perhaps not; for me at least it makes it easier to discern the more relavant/relyable info.

I heard this AM that he will testify - but tomorrow may be a different story.

My present theory on these events:
Joseph P. Farrell has weighed in with his take on these events, beginning at 05:57 in Part One, and continuing through the rest of Part One and all of Part Two.

Farrell presents more evidence, from three articles he quotes and his own views that:

Petraeus was clearly aware of the difficulties that US subservience to Israel presents to US policy and operations, and briefed Obama on this problem in no uncertain terms.

Farrell quotes several parts of this article by Debbie Schlussel: Jill Kelley Helped Muslim Nations, Hezbollah Infiltrate Central Command, MacDill Base; “Go To Girl” For Muslim Parties w/ Generals (http://www.debbieschlussel.com/56333/jill-kelley-helped-muslim-nations-hezbollahs-lebanon-infiltrate-central-command-macdill-base-go-to-girl-for-muslim-parties-w-generals/). This further suggests to Farrell that there are "deep cracks and fissures" in the world wide power structure.

Farrell also quotes parts of this article by Jon Rappoport: Federal investigators lying through their teeth in the Petraeus probe (http://jonrappoport.wordpress.com/2012/11/16/federal-investigators-lying-through-their-teeth-in-the-petraeus-probe/). Petraeus was closely involved in and commanding in Iraq when billions of dollars went missing, in Afghanistan when the heroin production there was revived (a key hidden trillion dollar US intelligence business), and with the CIA as its Directory. He knew a lot. He was having a secret affair with someone who likely was compromised, had "substantial" highly classified information on her laptop at home and was apparently expending a "tremendous amount of energy" to run a "honey trap" on Petraeus. A "rogue’s gallery of top government officials telling lies", "trying to stitch together a fake story to cover a horrendous series of security breaches."

Farrell figures that Rappaport has put his finger on evidence connecting the Patraeus-Broadwell affair to deep conflicts in the world power structure and hidden finance mechanisms. Washington is paddling madly beneath the surface, trying to keep various deep hidden taboo subjects hidden, while doing their best to look calm on the surface. One of the most connected figures in these power games has apparently been severely compromised, and apparently no one even knows for whom (Lt Col) Paula Broadwell was even really working.

Key question: Who was Lt. Colonel Paula Kranz Broadwell, a trained intelligence agent, really working for?

Not, surely, as an Israeli spy and double agent whose mission was to gather highly classified US military data for Israel?

Inserting this simple assumption into the unsolved equation of WTFHappened? yields an interesting – and fairly logical – solution:

• Broadwell indeed succeeded in compromising Patraeus – she had a direct and irreplaceable line to critical intelligence for Netanyahu, and used it.

• But she sensed that Kelley – a Lebanese Christian who is possibly a rival agent for Muslim interests and who may be able to expose Broadwell – is gaining ground on Patraeus.

• Knowing for certain that Patraeus can be foolishly indiscreet with his lady friends, she freaks out and must destroy Kelley by any means. This isn’t about babes and boobs; it’s about Israel.

• She calls on her trusted co-agent in the FBI (who is also, somehow, tight with “big friend of Israel” Eric Cantor…) to undo Kelley.

• Obama, on learning of Patraeus’s incredible security blunder, fires him in outrage.

• Meanwhile, US agents must now search Broadwell’s computers, etc, to discover the extent of the damage. (Recall that this search happened after Patreus’s resignation.)

• And now Cantor and friends, caught out and implicated, must toe Obama’s line on the Fiscal Cliff negotiations or face charges of treason. :o

Hey, it makes sense to me. Sometimes dropping a single “interesting” piece into an otherwise unsolveable puzzle can pull a lot of disparate pieces together…..

Cheers,

Selene

Is it inappropriate of me to say that I can care less about someone's extra-marital affairs especially if it has to do with politics? But then again sex and war go together in this crazy world.

This is quite a story and reads with resonance with me. As an Army brat, I got to see some of the sentiment shown here right after the JFK assination. In the Eruopean Command based in Germany, they did not even lower the flag until ordered to do so.

Three Days of the Condor is still so right on. It has been known for sometime that there is always an internal war going on in the CIA with the right hand not always knowing what the left is doing. This has esculated into a battle in every major institution--those for themselves above all and those for the good of the country. Until just recently, it has felt that there was no more sense of country or community for most people.

If only 10% of what Tarpley is saying is true, that's enough for me to say with some confidence that there is some major infighting going on within the establishment of psychopathic leaders and their agencies.....

Latest shoe to drop: the White House has released a Presidential Memorandum – National Insider Threat Policy and Minimum Standards for Executive Branch Insider Threat Programs

http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2012/11/21/presidential-memorandum-national-insider-threat-policy-and-minimum-stand

MEMORANDUM FOR THE HEADS OF EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES

SUBJECT: National Insider Threat Policy and Minimum Standards for Executive Branch Insider Threat Programs

This Presidential Memorandum transmits the National Insider Threat Policy and Minimum Standards for Executive Branch Insider Threat Programs (Minimum Standards) to provide direction and guidance to promote the development of effective insider threat programs within departments and agencies to deter, detect, and mitigate actions by employees who may represent a threat to national security.

These threats encompass potential espionage, violent acts against the Government or the Nation, and unauthorized disclosure of classified information, including the vast amounts of classified data available on interconnected United States Government computer networks and systems.

The Minimum Standards provide departments and agencies with the minimum elements necessary to establish effective insider threat programs. These elements include

• the capability to gather, integrate, and centrally analyze and respond to key threat-related information;

• monitor employee use of classified networks;

• provide the workforce with insider threat awareness training; and

• protect the civil liberties and privacy of all personnel.

The resulting insider threat capabilities will strengthen the protection of classified information across the executive branch and reinforce our defenses against both adversaries and insiders who misuse their access and endanger our national security.

BARACK OBAMA

Aside from the fact that this policy makes explicit what we already knew: that “Big Brother is watching you”, does this mean that if you know – and don’t say – about a leak, you will be implicated as well?

This sort of stuff used to dealt with discreetly and invisibly. But now the fertilizer must be well and truly hitting the rotating device.

Coup plots, anyone? Spies in the CIA? (LOL..) This story not only has legs, it’s growing teeth and hair by the day.

Cheers,

Selene

One of the great problems, is that we don't want to create secondary issues, secondary unknowns in these scenarios. some of these secondary aspects can unravel any attempt to discern the truth, as the secondary considerations or extra consideration can pose far too many directions in potential. A kind of an "n^x" factor, mathematically speaking.

In any case, not specifically this one (subject of the thread), I am aware of a suspected aspect of human mind programming that can be initiated with singular exposure, and can take place, with regard to initial and thus full grip, in as little as a second, or two. Basically, be asked to step into a room, and then...it's over. First an initial flash (possibly)and follow up with the correct light and sequencing. Then this programming can take place on deep levels. Down on the soul inclusion levels. If the subtlety of control or internal shifting is minimal, then it can sit in the person, unnoticed, I would posit. 30 minutes later, the person walks out of the room, and no-one knows.....

It comes to mind, when I read things like this:

General William E. (Kip) Ward became the first commander of US Africa Command in Stuttgart, Germany, on October 1, 2007 (and stayed till 2011). US Africa Command is one of six unified geographic commands within the Department of Defense unified command structure.

Prior to assuming command of AFRICOM, he was the Deputy Commanding General/Chief of Staff, US Army Europe and Seventh Army. While in this capacity he was selected by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to serve as the United States Security Coordinator, Israel - Palestinian Authority where he served from March 2005 through December 2005.

To some extent such thinking, as stated, complicates the issue and should be put aside until some form of clarity emerges, within the scope of known parameters.

This scenario of the bright light flash, much like that of the film MIB, and disorientation flash bombs and now the disorientation flashlights (portable/handheld extreme flash devices)..this seems to have come out a bit in some stories of UFO's and wartimes.

I was mindful of the publication date of the book, which was 2011. I was mindful of the publication date as I have written of the phenomena and potential uses in programming people. That I had specifically WARNED us politicians and other folks with prominent positions..to CHECK THEMSELVES. To get some recording gear and some close friends, and then be hypnotized in a unbroken sequence of video recording in the presence of family or the like and CHECK THEMSELVES for deep programming.

Ie, don't walk into strange rooms, or strange buildings (those invites and travel of US politicians to Israel.... are particularly alarming!!!!)...... Remember the dark glasses, and so on. Other methods can be used, but the initiation of the hypnotic via the sudden flash is the quickest way to start the process. It used to be the blue light as a flashing hypnotic, spaced with red possibly, but the blue (in a dark room) was the key to initiation in those who were concentrating. The bright single initiating flash is apparently the method of progressing with the unwilling.

Hypnotic sessions can be used to illustrate the existence of this programming, to find the edges of it, or actually unravel it.

As for me finding this idea and understanding in a book.. one published in 2011.

One has to be careful, as they can have their own musings thrown back at them, via methods such as publication and parallel tracking and then the taking up of the agenda or 'notes', by a darker group. To take over memes as they exist in their moment of genesis.

The other problem is this issue of the creation of consensus reality, what we think, we become, we move into it. This complicates discernment in these matters.

In this case, the idea or reality of freezing the mind via flashing it (light), this is a known reality in animals and also in humans, so it can possibly be used to create the initial disorientation to move to the hypnotic state, in an individual who is going to resist hypnotic states.

Joseph Farrell spoke of a story or two from this book, in one of his latest books, and this is what spurned me to find my mentioned bits about the flash hypnotics, and check the publications. some of the soldiers have this story. The second story he included is from US Vietnam war involvement times, which would place it in the late 60's early 70's. Which is just about right, as timelines go...for switching to the bright flash in the hypnotic techniques. Which was the technique mentioned by the soldier in the given case. That the hypnotics do NOT work perfectly on all people. That this individual remembered, it came clear again.

Suffice it to say, that the unclear mind the animal mind the duality mind of the sociopath or willing..MAY depending on the designs of that given mind... MAY Be highly susceptible to being programmed. Ie, the mass of slimy but weak minded politicians gathered in the US capital, for example.

This above is, in my views, perfectly right.

You must know Carmody that Eriksonian hypnosis works through disorientation of the senses. The target of the hypnologist is to make sure two or more senses are sollicited through a double or triple command suddenly, therefore disorienting the senses. This is when, right at the disorientation moment, the second hypnotic command is given and the trance starts. After that, you can go farther into putting the client or subject into deeper and deeper trance.

A strong flash of light would probably make it to start with as well. 85% of the population seems to respond well to hypnosis. In MIB movie, after the flash of light, they were giving commands to forget and telling them what they have seen instead. I think it is pretty close to reality.
