They say a couple of times the archbishop was "unveiled". Does this by any chance mean he is also a former nun? :)

Well I'm sure he's a nice chap and all that, but statisticly a country of around sixty million is still monopolised by the elite classes !!

( The same in the US and the rest of the world ) !....

He is pro women Bishops , but against Gay marriage .....partly enlightened I suppose !

But its just all this 'cronism crap' that is unbelievable if we are supposed to be all equal !

Especially in Gods eye if the believe the religious dogma ,B.S.......

It was ever thus Cider. Sadly.

It is a bit better now, we notice it and challenge it. Maybe he will work to change things from the inside out- his CV is amazing! I'll bet no one in his tradition soaked past would have guessed he would have ended up as Archbishop of Canterbury. There is an ancient precedent for an appointed Archbishop of Canterbury being chosen by the establishment, the king no less, and ending up dead for daring to oppose his monarch, and thus the state, and defend his church.

Remember Thomas a Beckett!
