TEL AVIV – Did Paula Broadwell, the alleged mistress of ex-CIA Director David Petraeus, reveal a secret CIA detention center in Benghazi during a public speech she gave last month?
Broadwell, a former counterterror operative, co-authored a bestselling biography of Petraeus, titled “All In.” She discussed the book during a keynote speech on Oct. 26 at a University of Denver alumni symposium. The speech is available in full on YouTube.
dPaf5OJSskY
During a question-and-answer session, Broadwell was asked about this year’s Sept. 11 attacks against the U.S. mission in Benghazi.
She stated: “Now I don’t know if a lot of you heard this, but the CIA annex had actually had taken a couple of Libya militia members prisoner. And they think that the attack on the consulate was an effort to try to get these prisoners back. So that’s still being vetted.”
The existence of a U.S. prison or CIA detention center in Benghazi would be a new development in the debate surrounding the attacks there. The information does not appear to be publicly known.
An extensive WND search of news media coverage of the Benghazi attacks could find no mention of prisoners being held at the CIA annex.
Yesterday, the New York Times reported that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor spoke to an FBI whistleblower two weeks ago who accused Petraeus of not only having an extramarital affair, but potentially jeopardizing the security of classified information.
During the same university speech, Broadwell may have also divulged information that Petraeus knew “within 24 hours” of CIA annex’s request for reinforcements, reported Israel National News.
“The challenging thing for Gen. Petraeus,” she stated, “is that in his new position, he’s not allowed to communicate with the press. So he’s known all of this – they had correspondence with the CIA station chief in Libya, within 24 hours they kind of knew what was happening.”
Earlier she had said the military could have sent reinforcements.
“They were requesting the – it’s called the C-in-C’s In Extremis Force – a group of Delta Force operators, our very, most talented guys we have in the military. They could have come and reinforced the consulate and the CIA annex.”

If true she outed most of the information they are trying to keep hidden from us about how some of the people of our government behave in our name. If this story is correct the MSM will be caught as part of the cover up per their reporting it as a result of a utube video and not investigating it properly. I for one do not want any more of my tax money used to cover up the corruption in or by the government. It's time to lift the secrecy veil, our government needs to tell us where all our tax monies go after all it is OURS! IMHO

He was set up for some of his geo-political views. The are hints and clues everywhere. If you know some of his more recent controversial, (in some corners) views on the middle-east, you will have an important pat of the story, IMO. The media will steer us in any direction but the real one.

it does fit the actual story of what happened that night...
In Benghazi timeline, CIA errors but no evidence of conspiracy
By David Ignatius, Thursday, November 1, 3:40 PM
A detailed CIA timeline of the assault on U.S. facilities in Benghazi paints an anguishing picture of embattled Americans waiting for Libyan security forces who didn’t come and courageous CIA officers who died on a rooftop without the heavy weapons they needed, trying to protect their colleagues below.
It’s a story of individual bravery, but also of a CIA misjudgment in relying on Libyan militias and a newly formed Libyan intelligence organization to keep Americans safe in Benghazi.
While there were multiple errors that led to the final tragedy, there’s no evidence that the White House or CIA leadership deliberately delayed or impeded rescue efforts.
The CIA is now reviewing its security plans around the world to make sure the agency isn’t relying on shaky local forces. This is a difficult task because the United States has vulnerable arrangements in dozens of places.
The CIA timeline was described to me Thursday by a senior intelligence official. The narrative of events is dramatic and disturbing. Rather than try to parse each detail, let’s look at a summary of the highlights. The times listed are Benghazi time on the night of Sept. 11 and the morning of Sept. 12:
●9:40 p.m.: A senior State Department security officer at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi called the CIA base, at an annex about a mile away, and requested assistance: “The compound is under attack. People are moving through the gates.” CIA officers at the base can hear the alarm, and a team immediately begins gathering weapons and preparing to leave.
●10:04 p.m.: A six-person rescue squad from the agency’s Global Response Staff (GRS) leaves in two vehicles. The team leader is a career CIA officer; the team includes a contractor named Tyrone Woods, who later died. During the previous 24-minute interval, the CIA base chief calls the February 17 Brigade, other militias and the Libyan intelligence service seeking vehicles with .50-caliber machine guns. Nobody responds. The team leader and the base chief agree at 10:04 that they can’t wait any longer, and the squad heads for the consulate.
The senior intelligence official said that he doesn’t know whether Woods or any of the other team members agitated to go sooner but added that he wouldn’t be surprised. “I want them to have a sense of urgency,” he said.
●10:10 p.m.: The rescue team reached a chaotic intersection a few blocks from the consulate. Militias gathered there have several .50-caliber machine guns, which the CIA team tries unsuccessfully to commandeer; three militiamen offer to help. The rescue party now includes 10 people: six GRS officers, a CIA translator and the three Libyan volunteers.
●10:20 p.m.: A reconnaissance party of two GRS officers heads to the consulate; at 10:25, three more GRS officers enter the main gate and begin engaging the attackers. The firefight lasts about 15 minutes.
●10:40 p.m.: Members of the CIA team enter the burning inferno of “Villa C,” where Ambassador Christopher Stevens is believed to be hiding. CIA officers try numerous times to reach the “safe room” but are driven back by the intense smoke and fire. Small-arms fire continues from the Libyan attackers.
●11:11 p.m.: An unarmed military Predator drone arrives over the compound to provide aerial reconnaissance. The drone had been diverted from a mission over Darnah, about 90 minutes away. But without weapons, it can’t help much.
●11:15 p.m.: The CIA team puts a group of State Department officers into a vehicle and sends it to the agency base; at 11:30, the CIA officers depart under fire and reach the annex six minutes later.
●11:56 p.m.: CIA officers at the annex are attacked by a rocket-propelled grenade and small arms. Sporadic attacks continue for about another hour. The attacks stop at 1:01 a.m., and some assume the fight is over.
●1:15 a.m.: CIA reinforcements arrive on a 45-minute flight from Tripoli in a plane they’ve hastily chartered. The Tripoli team includes four GRS security officers, a CIA case officer and two U.S. military personnel on loan to the agency. They don’t leave the Benghazi airport until 4:30 a.m. The delay is caused by negotiations with Libyan authorities over permission to leave the airport; obtaining vehicles; and the need to frame a clear mission plan. The first idea is to go to a Benghazi hospital to recover Stevens, who they rightly suspect is already dead. (Also killed was a State Department communication specialist.) But the hospital is surrounded by the al-Qaeda-linked Ansar al-Sharia militia that mounted the consulate attack.
●5:04 a.m.: The team from Tripoli arrives at the CIA base. Glen Doherty, one of the GRS men from Tripoli, goes to the roof and joins Woods in firing positions.
●5:15 a.m.: A new Libyan assault begins, this time with mortars. Two rounds miss and the next three hit the roof. The rooftop defenders never “laser the mortars,” as has been reported. They don’t know the weapons are in place until the indirect fire begins, nor are the mortars observed by the drone overhead. The defenders have focused their laser sights earlier on several Libyan attackers, as warnings not to fire. At 5:26 the attack is over. Woods and Doherty are dead and two others are wounded.
●6 a.m.: Libyan forces from the military intelligence service finally arrive, now with 50 vehicles. They escort the Americans to the airport. A first group of 18, including two wounded, depart at 7 a.m. A second group of 12, plus the four dead, leave at 10 a.m. for Tripoli and then the long flight back to America.

so who were the State Department officers?
"The CIA team puts a group of State Department officers into a vehicle and sends it to the agency base;"
" Defending their preparations, State Department officials have asserted that there was no specific intelligence that warned of a large-scale attack on the diplomatic compound in Benghazi, which they asserted was unprecedented. The department said it was careful to weigh security with diplomats’ need to meet with Libyan officials and citizens.
“The lethality of an armed, massed attack by dozens of individuals is something greater than we’ve ever seen in Libya over the last period that we’ve been there,” Patrick F. Kennedy, the State Department’s under secretary for management, told reporters at a news conference on Oct. 10.
But David Oliveira, a State Department security officer who was stationed in Benghazi from June 2 to July 5, said he told members and staff of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform that he recalled thinking that if 100 or more assailants sought to breach the mission’s walls, “there was nothing that we could do about it because we just didn’t have the manpower, we just didn’t have the facilities.” "
strange, I was looking for a member list (http://oversight.house.gov/committee-members/) on who was notified by state department guard they needed more security in Gaza and ran across what looks like a Republican ad against #Obama on the main page of a Government site.

Paula Broadwell, the woman reported to be having an affair with CIA Director David Petraeus, sent harassing emails to State Department official, the AP reported.
Jill Kelley, the woman who received emails from Broadwell that prompted her to alert FBI, reportedly works as a State Department military liaison.
According to the Washington Post, the woman was "frightened" for her safety and contacted the FBI for protection. The Post describes the emails as "threatening." link (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/11/paula-broadwell-emails-david-petraeus-state-department_n_2114319.html)

The mystery woman who blew the lid off former CIA Director David Petraeus' scandalous affair was identified Sunday as a U.S. State Department liaison.
Jill Kelley, 37, of Tampa, Fla., reportedly alerted the FBI several months ago about threatening emails she had received from Petraeus alleged mistress, biographer Paula Broadwell, a senior military official told the Associated Press.
The alarm sounded by Kelley, the unpaid social liaison to MacDill Air Force Base, got the FBI investigation rolling and uncovered the former four-star general's extramarital affir with Broadwell, authorities have said.
It was not immediately clear if Patraeus and Kelley were also engaging in romantic maneuvers of their own, but a person who knows both them told the AP that Kelley saw Petraeus often.
In 2010, Kelley and her husband, Scott, invited Petraeus and his wife, Holly, to be their guests at the annual Gasparilla parade in Tampa. At the time, Petraeus ran the U.S. Central Command from nearby MacDill Air Force Base.

truth be told , now that the general is out of the loop , he won't have to testify to congress about the killing of the ambassador. The newly appointed CIA head can claim he didn't know anything about what petraeus was involved in or what information they had knowledge of . how convienient. Now the CIA will have to do some cleaning up with the spouses that had any information about phone calls, emails, or memo's that may have floated around two weeks prior. If I were them , I would be a little nervous....Unless they throw a bigger false flag out there for distraction.

I've read that yes, Patraeus will not be asked to testify.
Though I think that just means that Congress is being a wimp, as I presume they could ask anyone they could get their hands on to testify.

The Benghazi investigation, he added, will not be suppressed. There is too much momentum and too much demand for answers. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has made clear that she will not participate in a cover-up, and has indicated that she will testify truthfully before Congress and provide any documents legitimately demanded. So far, the CIA, the Pentagon and the State Department have all provided detailed accounts of their actions in response to the attack on the Benghazi consulate on 9/11. Whether or not they have told the "whole truth" is another matter altogether. But so far, the White House has refused to provide any serious accounting of what the President knew beforehand, what he did when he learned of the Benghazi attack, and how he and Susan Rice came to spread the lies afterwards.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), a leading member of the House Oversight Committee said: "The fact that he's resigned and had an affair has nothing to do with whether he will be subpoenaed to Congress. I hope we don't have to subpoena a four-star general and a former CIA director. I would hope he would come voluntarily but if he won't he will be subpoenaed. And none of what happened today is an offense to a subpoena. He's either a witness in our case in chief or he's gonna be a rebuttal witness if Susan Rice and others blame him for their failure of intelligence and failure of information. But there is no way we can get to the bottom of Benghazi without David Petraeus."

But, if she was some sort of real (attempted) 'whistleblower', ratting out the CIA, she would be whistling out of her neck.

WASHINGTON (AFP) - US lawmakers demanded to know on Monday why President Barack Obama was not informed for several months that his CIA chief David Petraeus was under investigation in an explosive sex scandal.
Petraeus resigned on Friday after confessing to an extramarital affair, stunning Washington political and intelligence circles just three days after Obama's re-election and amid a probe into US security failings in Libya.
It is reported that top FBI and Justice Department figures learned of the scandal late last summer but decided to leave both the White House and the congressional committees that oversee their work in the dark until last week.
Key members of Congress demanded a fuller explanation of a liaison that could have involved a national security breach, arguing that hiding the investigation showed poor judgment by the FBI and senior Obama administration officials at the Justice Department.
"This is certainly an operationally sensitive matter," said Senator Dianne Feinstein, Democratic chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee. "But we weren't briefed. I don't know who made that decision.
"So it is very puzzling and I think was a mistake, because this thing just came so fast and so hard. And since then, it's been like peeling an onion. Every day, another peel comes off," she told MSNBC.
It is unclear exactly when FBI Director Robert Mueller and Attorney General Eric Holder were informed although it has emerged that the investigation began as early as May.
"This is a crisis, I believe, of major proportions," declared Peter King, the Republican chair of the Homeland Security Committee.
"It's not the usual political thing. We're not talking about the secretary of commerce or some undersecretary somewhere. We're talking about the heads of the FBI," he said.
King argued that the case "had to be brought to the president, or certainly to the National Security Council. If not, the FBI was derelict in its duty.
"I don't want to raise any conspiracy theories, but I certainly have questions," he added.
Petraeus had been due to testify Thursday at closed door congressional inquiries into the deadly September 11 attack on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya, but will now be replaced by acting CIA Director Michael Morell.
The scandal shocked friends and allies of the retired general, the most celebrated officer of his generation, who commanded the US campaign in Iraq and Afghanistan before taking charge of the CIA 14 months ago.
He admitted to the extramarital affair in a resignation message to the CIA workforce on Friday, calling the lapse of judgment "unacceptable" for a husband and leader. He has been married to his wife Holly for 38 years.
Obama learned of the scandal two days after Tuesday's US election, according to the White House, and accepted the resignation the following day.
In the US military, adultery can be considered a crime. As CIA director, Petraeus was a civilian but the potential security breach could have left him open to blackmail or undermined his credibility with his staff.
Steven Boylan, a retired army colonel and former Petraeus spokesman, said his former boss told him over the weekend that the affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell, began about two months after he became CIA director and ended four months ago.
Broadwell "He is devastated, you could say, and you could also say that it's going to take a long time for the family or sometime for the family to get through this, but they will," Boylan told NBC.
It all unraveled when a Tampa woman went to the FBI in the early summer after she began receiving threatening emails accusing her of a flirtation with the general, the Washington Post said.
A government official told The New York Post that the emails contained such language as: "I know what you did," "back off" and "stay away from my guy."
US media identified the Tampa woman as 37-year-old Jill Kelley, a "social liaison" to an air force base in who had a longstanding family friendship with Petraeus but no official status in the military.
The FBI soon traced the emails to Broadwell, a 40-year-old former army major and mother of two who had been given unprecedented access to his command in Afghanistan in 2011 in order to write her glowing biography.
The agents eventually discovered sexually explicit emails between Petraeus and Broadwell indicating the affair.
The pair were interviewed separately by investigators in late October and early November.
Broadwell was found to be in possession of some classified material, but Petraeus was cleared of involvement and no criminal charges have been forthcoming.
The scandal has left Obama with a hole to fill on his national security team at a time when he is also expected to be replacing his secretaries of state, defense and treasury.
One name being floated as a possible Petraeus replacement is John Brennan, the White House counter-terrorism adviser and a CIA veteran who has played an instrumental role in Obama's drone war against Al-Qaeda militants.
Others say Morell, the acting director, may take on the role permanently.

Why else did the CIA spymaster resign?
Lead in....
By Gordon Duff and Press TV
—
“The real issue is dealing with political uncertainty, the difference from what is publicly said, what is publicly seen and what actually exists.”
The United States is undergoing a political maelstrom that, in many ways, parallels what is currently going on in China. Though the election ended days ago, a significant victory for Obama, perceived by most as a repudiation of American support for Netanyahu, the real issues are far more sinister.
—
Powerful forces within the government are reacting, not just to threats of civil war, assassination and domestic terrorism. There is a vast and well-orchestrated clandestine effort to centralize power behind the presidency, preparation likely to lead to an expansion in executive power.
All competing factions, Pentagon, State Department, CIA and courts face disembowelment by the Obama administration.
Does this represent a change in American policy, both domestic and foreign, or is this a consolidation at the behest of the unseen ruling elites many claim controlled both candidates, Obama and Romney, equally?
Today, General David Petraeus resigned as CIA director sighting “poor judgment” in his personal life, an “extramarital affair” as the reason.
No one believes him.
A top American general, the “Patton” of our time, CIA chief and potential presidential candidate is now a broken man, career in ruins, supposedly over an affair with a female American intelligence operative.

That's a good article. Here's another excerpt from it:
To those who have gained a conspiratorial analytical hypothesis when examining the methodologies implemented by the mysterious command authority, the one that ordered the Air Force “stand down” on 9/11, the one that allowed a nuclear bomber to be stolen from Minot Air Force Base, allowing criminal elements in the government to openly take control of the reins of history, we submit the following:
The largely privatized military/intelligence complex, driven by criminalized monopolies in narcotics, banking, oil, arms, pharmaceuticals and human trafficking has, without any question, gained control of the operations of most agencies of government, of all national economies and all media, be it news or entertainment, in the West.
That this range of control, a misinformed electorate confined to voting for political candidates constrained to be no more than actors on a stage, has created a climate where anyone speaking with clarity, not just today, but as long ago as the First World War and every major conflict thereafter, would be labeled a “monster.”

The good news is that what the fuss is really all about (power behind the scenes) seems to be grasped by most of the alternative media which in turn is getting bigger. We don't know what the truth is yet but we do all seem to agree that it is not this shinning trinket of sexual distraction.
