Romantic Fixations/ Imprinting/ Movies & Popular Media

When I was about 11 years old I saw To Kill A Mockingbird circa 1962/63.
On a subconscious level I'm convinced I feel in love with Scout,the character played by Mary Badham....Having a tragic romantic personality I have fallen in love or been seriously attracted to 2 dozen women...But the 2 great loves of my live were brunette,short hair style,and had a Scout aditude...

I also lived in Brazil for 4 years as a child and have always had a thing for Latin women,,,,,especially Peneolpe Cruz ,Linda Ronstadt,etc.

I have read that women tend to go for men who remind them of their fathers.....

oh totally....hollywood is far from the days of scout.

You could have done worse. Scout was a wonderful character.

At the age of 11 your hormones were blooming making attachment to the romantic more intense. It could have been most anybody that imprinted you - someone you liked but couldn't have - the girl next door, a friends older sister, etc.

Woman tend to marry their fathers but can dream about anyone who can provide wealth and security - like rock stars.

I suspect this has been going on way before movies and media. It's just part of being human.

if its as-if typologies of women have tournaments against each other at different times (winner being the one you miss most or who makes the deepest impression of being in the deepest grove of your psyche,), well then, amongst those winners i've liked those women with the black-black eyes,...the ones that are impossible to psychk on basis of pupil dilation

what does this have to to with alternative medicine? unless you found a natural cure for your "tragic romantic personality" problem and forgot to name it.

it's called entertainment. if you've seen stuff a thousand times you need something new or more exciting. in the 80s they cut out most of the kills & gore in horror movies here in germany. by now thank god they leave most of it intact. it's a form of art, after all. eventually the same will happen with hardcore sex scenes because people are no longer stimulated by anything less. and when that doesn't help anymore everything will start all over again. unless we all die during the next few years, that is. that would be real life entertainment which can't be easily topped. humanity is overripe anyway.

maybe the solution is from our older days in atlantis, when we were really plugged into life
