We have forgotten what it's like to smile and laugh in a public place.
We have forgotten how to simply sit in nature and allow her to open herself to us, to share her wondrous creatures, her Divine beauty.
We have forgotten what it's like to let our children run and play in public places without having to fear for their safety and well being.
We have forgotten what it's like to experiment, to day dream, to imagine.
We have forgotten what it's like to live in a perfectly healthy body without any trace of chronic pain or suffering.
We have forgotten what it's like to eat food freshly grown and picked and full of the vibrancy of life, never sprayed or genetically tampered with or frozen or homogenised or coloured or flavoured or blended or dried or dessicated or bottled or tinned.
We have forgotten what it's like to wake up every morning and to bounce out of bed, excited about what the new day holds for us.
We have forgotten what it's like to have leaders who are wise and knowledgeable, who make decisions based upon experience and according to their moral compass, who consider their right to lead as sacred, who hold the goodness and wellbeing of all in the highest measure.
We have forgotten what it's like to live in a society where we aren't judged for what we wear, for how we act, for how we think, for what we do and how we do it, for any perceived lack of conforming, acquiescing and towing the line.
We have forgotten what it's like to fall in love, to be in love with all of those around us, including other people, our surroundings and our Mother Earth.
We have forgotten what it's like to breath fresh air and drink pure and vibrant fresh water.
We have forgotten how to live a simple, uncomplicated and unrushed life close to nature and free from the burdens of 'modern' society.
We have forgotten what it's like to live without Time, to live without having to account for every hour, every minute, every second- to wake up when we wish to wake up, to sleep when we wish to sleep, to return to the natural rhythms of our bodies.
We have forgotten to honour and respect the feminine within our lives, to honour and respect deeply the birthing process, the depth of meaning and being that can be attained through the menstrual cycle, and the wisdom of the crone.
We have forgotten what it's like to respect our elders, the older, wiser generation, instead of ignoring them and sidelining them and eating away at their self worth for the sake of the newest trends and gizmos.
We have forgotten what it feels like to fully trust ourselves, others and the circumstances in our lives that lead us to greater truths and awareness.
We have forgotten the vast eons of our existence, the many lifetimes of falling and rising again, the signature of our soul.
We have forgotten how to treat each other with the dignity and respect that each of us deserve and crave for.
We have forgotten so many things.
We have forgotten how to simply sit in nature and allow her to open herself to us, to share her wondrous creatures, her Divine beauty.
