Bryce Zabel produced an excellent TV series "Dark Skies" about the U S Gov't coverup on UFOs in the 1960s. It's an excellent blend of factual historical events and fiction. He is still hoping to continue it.

It's unfortunate that these people had to produce a movie on a similar theme and use the same movie name.

This show was a pioneer in stating that History was a lie and that there were powerful few who were hiding the truth from the rest of us. This show talkes heavely about an organization called Majestic 12. In one episode they even show a character named Colin Powell dealing with Aliens in one of his early military assignment.

This is the complete openning narration of Dark skies series:

"My name is Jon Lowengard. I am recording this because we may not live through the night. They're here. They're hostile. And powerful people don't want you to know. History as we know it, is a lie!"

The original Dark Skies was a great TV series (not sure of the connection to the new movie??) - can't understand why it only lasted one season (perhaps it was getting a bit too close to the truth?). Was competing with The X-Files at the time, around '97 I think. ;)
