Hi. My cat, Shoebag who is 15 just had a cat fight and fell off a wall while doing so and trapped his leg, breaking it and pulling it out of its socket.
Please, I ask that if people can, can they please prey for him and send him healing light energy. I am waiting to hear from the Vet. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Hi Eyes Wide Open, sorry to hear what happened to Shoebag, poor little guy. I'll be with him in spirit today, or as long as it takes, telling him he's a good cat, a tough cat, and that he's loved and much needed back home with you. As an aside, I hold little value in western medicine, whether for animals or people, when it comes to treating disease and such, because they just really aren't taught how the body works in that way. When it comes to patching Humpty back together again however, I don't hesitate to go to the ER. This is where they excel exceedingly.
Shoebag may never contend for being the neighborhood badass again, but he should be o.k. http://nexus.2012info.ca/forum/images/smilies/newadditions/yes4.gif

Hi my friend,
Cats are badass animals!
A few months ago, my cat, Mr.Harry, was trapped and bitten by my dog, which is a freaking giant Dogo Argentino.
The dog held Mr.Harry in his mouth and shook him like a piece of meat. I heard the noise and ran quick to save him.
I managed to take the cat out of the dogīs mouth, but the poor thing was looking like crap. He was hard as a woodboard, making weird noises and with bulging eyes.
Anyway, I thought Mr.Harry was going to die. I was certain about it, so I just made him comfortable and warm in our couch. An hour later, he wasnīt there anymore.
I went looking for him around the house and found him inside my motherīs closet. He was just there in the darkness, surrounded by her cloths.
I keep monitoring him for the next days, to see if he was dead or not. He wouldnīt drink any water or eat.
Four days later, he was just fine. Limping a little, but fine. Mr.Harry managed to heal himself.
You see, cats are really strong animals. Thereīs a good reason people say they have nine lives.
Your cat will be fine. Just take him home. You canīt trust vets.
Cheers,
Raf.

Seriously man.... f*ck your dog.
Yeah cats are pretty tough though, if it's just his leg broken and he doesn't get an infection he'll be ok. It might be hard for a cat to only have 3 legs if he can't use it anymore, but he'll just have to be slightly more retired cat, and hang out close to home.
He'll just be thankful he doesn't have to share a home territory with some giant dick face argintinian dogo.
Sorry I must just be channeling your cat, RMorgan. I do that sometimes. : D

Hi EWO. If I may share my impressions from when I reached out to dear Shoebag (love that name :o), he seems to need calming and comforting. Maybe you could visit him at the vet's--pet him and let him know he'll be safe and sound at home with you soon? Your loving presence is strong medicine for him.
Sending you both lots of love,

(Maybe tone it down a bit, Shade. Not telling you what to do just my .02)
He'll be okay. I had a similar thing happen last year: cat got into a fight, fell out of the tree and broke his wrist joint area really bad. His paw was sideways (sorry if that's too graphic). It was horrible because then the cat was wary of everyone and wouldn't let us take him inside (much less the vet), this was during the winter when it was freezing at nights. Also the same frickin cat would find him and fight him, even though he had the broken wrist (he whooped that cats ass was the funny thing, I started calling him 'Braddock' after that).
After like a week he was just fine. I don't know how, it seems impossible I know, but the paw was set in place and he was walking on it like normal. Cats are tough and animals in general don't perceive pain the same way we do. He'll be fine, hang in there.

Bring something from home which has your smell/presence to leave at the vet,

Eyes,
After she returns from the vet ,try to find a homeopatic remedy called Symphytum C12 or a 12K, just one small dose of grains will do .
This will speed up the healing of the bone , for humans breaking a bone same remedy but a higher potency C30 and higher recommended.
Cheerup..........

Sheīs a very nice dog, very docile and kind.
My sister moved to an apartment and we had to keep her dogs; so they arenīt used to cats.
The cat and the dogs are completely separated from each other by a fence. Mr. Harry knows that heīs not welcome on the dog side of the house, but he decided he should explore the other side this day...I guess his stealth mode wasnīt as effective as he thought and the dog, Ms.Ruby, got him.
It was just an accident, you know. I donīt blame Ms.Ryby either.
Anyway, now he learned the lesson and doenīt get even close to the dogīs territory.
Everything is ok.

EWO, my cat got a broken leg after a run in with a big dog ... the vet set it in an aluminum frame to hold it stretched out. Poor cat dragged that thing around for 6 weeks, but the leg healed beautifully, and she lived for many years in perfect health.
Bach flower essence 'Rescue Remedy' would help him on all levels. You should be able to find it at your health food store. If possible, get the non-alcoholic one for animals. If you can't get that, then just drop some onto his fur and rub it in gently as you pet him. See if the vet will let you visit, if he stays overnight, and give him the flower essence.
I agree with Heather and Westhill, that bringing something (a blanket or scarf maybe?) with your scent on it will do him a world of good when he's away from you.
Loving light to Shoebag and to you. Please keep us updated.

I feel for you, Eyes Wide Open. I love cats.
My mom had adopted a cat that was born on farm which was later abandoned. Being that this was an outside cat, it needed to be let out every night, even after being neutered, or it would go crazy. In the morning he was always waiting on the back door porch to be let in for breakfast.
One morning, he didn't come back. We went looking around the neibourhood but found nothing. Two weeks passed. We gave him up for dead.
But then again, one morning, after over two weeks gone missing, he was waiting on the porch outside. My mom was so delighted to see him even though he was now so skinny. He came in but was limping really badly. I took him to the vet who said he'd probably been hit by a car and retreated somewhere safe until he gathered enough strength to find his way home.
Nothing could be done to help him because the bones were mending on their own. He stayed inside for a couple of weeks, started eating, and about a month later he was as good a new! That's cats for you! They have amazing powers of resiliency.
I hope we'll soon have good news about Shoebag. My thoughts go out to the little fellow.
Stay positive!

EYES WIDE OPEN~
I'm sorry to hear of Shoebag's troubles.
Please DO send a picture of Shoebag to this thread, and that's for a specific reason.
During my first of two Canada trips with David Wilcock, someone's (a celebrity) cute, little dog was deathly ill and was not going to make it, so understandably, the dog's guardian was distraught and was making plans to cut short her trip to Canada, come home and be with her dog.
David had an idea (or it may have been suggested by someone else, I don't know), so what he did was to put a picture of the dog onto his computer, taking up the whole screen, then David held it up to us while we were sitting in the bus getting ready to do a day-trip into the Canadian Rockies.
We were instructed to look at the picture and visualize this little dog getting healthy and recovering from the death-bed throes that had enveloped the dog. David held up the pic for a few minutes while we all stared at the picture and meditated.
At that very same time, that cute, fluffy little dog, far away in Southern California, perked up, got up and went to drink water and eat a bit of food -- something that the little dog had not done for a couple of days.
So, the dog's guardian was able to continue her Canadian adventure, return home and be with her dog for a full week before her dog finally passed away.
So, right there was proof that if one looks intently at a picture of anyone -- human or animal -- healing energy can be sent right to the being in the picture.
You can do this anytime with anyone who may be in need of healing, and the more people who look intently with healing in mind -- especially if there's a group of people doing it at the same time -- the stronger the healing vibrations that would reach the being in the picture.

My last cat scooter almost died a lot. He wasn't big but somehow he could survive almost anything. I went out one morning for my coffee on the step and saw a great big German Shepherd running around the block loose, he ran off when he saw me ... the I noticed hair all over my front yard -- lots of it. I ran over to get a closer look and my heart dropped --it was Scooters, and there was a lot, but I couldn't see any guts or blood .. nor the cat. Obviously the loose dog I had seen had made a run for the cat.
I cried my eyes out that day, confident I would never see him again. I assumed he ran off to die somewhere in peace (cats do that). But I kept looking around the yard and about three days later I saw him hiding in the grass in the back yard! I ran over and saw that he was alive, but he was in REALLY rough shape. I still thought he was going to die.
His spine was all twisted, he was limping bad, and he had about 3 inch huge gash across his back and down his side. Cats have incredibly tough skin, so when you see a wound like this, you know it is serious. I was concerned about infection but after a few months Scooter was back to his old self with no permanent damage. I just could not believe the will he had to live and the speed of his recovery.
So hold you cat in strength in your mind, not hope or pity, I sure all will be well. Like another poster said, a three legged cat is better than none ;-)
Sending love and appreciation for Shoebag.

I am sorry Shoebag is having a difficult time. Our animals love us unconditionally, and give us so much joy, I loved my cats and cried when they were suffering, or had to let them go. The only pet family members I had were cats. Whiskers, Cinderella, Smegles, Buttons, Adrianne, Tabatha, and Inky were those that have gone now and I still think about them. Arianne, one of my siamese, I had in the country. She went outside and came through a fireplace flu outside (it was winter). I heard a crying noise and saw Arianne in the fireplace. I opened it right away and she flew out right away. I was very upset, her fur was singed, and whiskers gone, and the bottoms of her feet were burnt. I was beside myself with grief. I knew she had to be suffering, and I didn't want her to be, and wondered if she would make it. We called the vet, and gave her a special bath, every day. I put something on her paws. She healed and was just as beautiful as before. Her whiskers took some time to heal, but did after a few months. Shoebag knows you love him, and cats are sometimes more resilient than we are. I'll say a little prayer for him.

Shoebag is home now with a temporary cast on his leg. He has a very bad dislocated elbow completely out of its joint. They are going to try and fuse the joint on Tuesday or Thursday and if they cant, they will amputate. Apparently cats adapt quickly to 3 legs. Thank you again for all your love.

I hope that Shoebag recovers well and his leg is saved; it not, he will still be the same lovable cat that has brought you much joy. I have 3 dogs and one of them lost a leg 2 years ago. She is still a happy little girl and doing fine. As my veterinarian told me, our furry friends have no problem dealing with a loss of limb and they adapt very quickly. Good news! No amputation and no surgery required AT ALL. After previously attempting to pop the dislocated elbow back into place and failing they gave it one more go yesterday. After more than an hour they managed to do it with great difficulty. The vet said it was an EXTREMELY unusual and weird dislocation.
They managed to pop the leg back in after much difficulty.
The Vet said this is a good sign because it was so hard to get back in, it will hopefully be equally difficult to pop out again. He needs to be crate rested for 6 weeks, 3 of which he will be bandaged up for and will visit the vet once a week.
Thank you to everyone who sent their prayers to Shoebag.
Looks like it had an effect!
We just hope the elbow heals and he can walk again. Fingers crossed!
Time will tell.
Thank you once again from the bottom of my heart for all your positive meditations!

There are kitty kat forums on the web so if this is about your cat and its health, they may be a venue for you. Meanwhile I wonder what spiritual lessons you are suppose to learn through this incident. Are you finding it difficult to cope with this? Do you have friends or family to share your grief? Are you lacking coping skills for pain and stress in your life? Are you feeling some guilt about how you have treated this animal? Do you just rely on forum strangers to appease your pain? I suspect this is less about your bond with the cat and more about some personal spiritual growth that you need to process and the cat is helping you to recognize that you need to grow. Thank you cat for its assistance and try to grasp the lesson that you need to learn.

Been thinking this over. I dont think that in general, individual cats do "karma" in the way in which humans do it; so I would chalk this up to random catalyst.
Who was the catalyst really for? EWO? Us? All of these?
A seemingly random meaningless accident happens which leads to a chain of events that results in the attention and loving intent of a wide range of people, and best of all the Cat most likely gets better too - as it should.
Thankyou shoebag.

Ok the jokes over bring back the constitution
I was talking with the protestors in the square telling them to start writing a constitution, it's after 3 AM and they are almost done...

Love to all.
I knew he'd make it!
My cats made a 'get well soon' song and dance for Shoebag, but instead they tore up my garden and passed out after the debauchery. Sorry 'bout that Shoebag, they'll get back to you as soon as they wake up:

Glad that Shoebag is doing better and am hoping with time you gain insight into this incident's meaning for your growth. My most tender incident was with my dog. In this life we were both delighted to be reunited, remembered a previous life together (she was a monkey like creature who hung around my human neck) and quite telepathic with each other. The highlight of the lesson was at the time of Tiger Lily's death. The lesson for me was much more gentle than if it had been presented in a human to human relationship. I was so grateful that I absorbed the lesson in such a gentle way.
At least for me, if I don't get a lesson, the Universe hits me with a baseball bat over the head to get my attention. Much better to "get it" in it more subtle ways. Hope this will be true for you.

Good to hear that your cat is doing better EWO.
We have a male (castrated) cat who looks just like yours and he is in trouble as we speak.
When he 'miauwed' to enter our house this evening, I had a vision that he wouldn't live to be an old cat. (He's 4 years old now.)
When he was in, we saw that he wasn't feeling right immediately. Walking very slowly as if his belly was hurting much.
My girlfriend made contact telepathically and all he says is that he isn't able to ... well... take a sh!t.
after that... he began to puke.
So, we loaded him into a basket and she took him to the nearest vet.
I have a bad feeling about this.
healing energies are welcome of course.
I do hope he makes it through! I love him so much...

Wakytweaky, let the vet make an x-ray to your cat immediatelly. You will have to feed him some "contrast" for the intestines to show up on the x-ray. My cat had simillar symptoms as yours last friday (as EWO had begun this thread). He was vommitting all night :( I thought it was typical furball reaction :( Stupid me! It turned out he swallowed some damn piece of plastic and it clogged his intestines. He stopped to eat but thankfully drank. And he continued to vommit. He became dehydrated. He had an operation two days ago. They took that thing out of his tummy. He is "fine" now :) And lays besides me now :) Do not wait until it is too late. 4 years is not so much for the cat. My Frodo is one year old. And i had dark thoughts about all this too. But everything is ok now. Best wishes for your friend. As others said cats are tough animals :)
I hate to take my cats (we have two, brother and sister) to the vets. I wish my intuition and clairvoyance were developed to such a degree i could immediately know what's the matter and what to do when something is wrong. Until that hapens i'am forced to ask vets for help. They managed to finnaly "discover" what is wrong with my cat AFTER three days! Can you believe that? All the examinations looked like walking in the dark with your hands tied up. The same problem is for human vets :(

As Robert suggested, he may have gotten into something. If it is constipation:
Here is what research on this keeps coming up. Pumpkin-canned kind, not spiced is good. Examples:
"Just spent $300 at the vet to get my elderly cat's bum reamed out. The vet said - feed him pumpkin.
So canned pumpkin and canned cat food, about 50/50. Much to my amazement, he loves it! I'm thrilled! This is also good for dogs with hard stools."
"Pumpkin puree and 2 Tbl water topped with tuna-like wet food keeps my cat happy, regular and crystal-free. He used to be sick every other month previously, poor little guy! Pumpkin was like a miracle for him! "

Waky, I am so sorry for your loss. I am crying now remembering losing my furry friend. God bless. Here is a poem to remember...
Poem For Cats
And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.
Are you coming then? asked God.
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.
But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.
Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am....forever and ever and ever.

Somehow I missed the recent updates on this thread until today, but I'm glad to hear Shoebag is doing fine now, and my best wishes to all other kitties and their humans.
And yes, pumpkin is a great boon for kitty digestion, also ground turkey.
My kitty, Samara, is doing well, bless her heart.
