More Bigfoot news...

http://gma.yahoo.com/video/news-26797925/bigfoot-dna-study-claims-species-is-real-31232860.html

Even with the silly music and commentary ( typical of the MSM ) Bigfoot is getting some pretty good exposure.

Won't be long before they're on Letterman. ;-)

Oh boy, Yahoo as a news source. :bad:

I've met some people that were clearly part Bigfoot. Matter of fact, back in my drinking days.............oh never mind. :p

fo what purpose in the larger scale of things?
(perhaps stepping onto the nearest stone to cross the stream, eventually gets us towards where the rapids are)

typical, the video in the link is "not available in your location" ffs.
DNA results can be pretty unreliable because of contamination. You should see the labs where they get the neanderthal stuff done - they all wear totally enclosed frikking space suits, just to stop contamination with modern human DNA, and this is digging DNA out from deep bone, and the precautions are still required. So if this was a flesh sample and done in a regular lab the likelihood of it being contaminated with regular human DNA is extremely high. Until this examination has been done under really strict conditions and contamination has been shown to not be in it, I would take the results with a large grain of salt.

And by the way the claim is from a veterinarian, it says in the story. A veterinarian is not a doctor.

And by the way the claim is from a veterinarian, it says in the story. A veterinarian is not a doctor. Well, they're certainly not welders, now are they? How would you label them? I watched a vet cut off a boxer dog's leg and repair the other hind leg that was shattered horribly. The dog ran like a deer on those three legs after healing. Who knows, maybe if he'd been a real doctor he could have saved the mangled leg. Ya think?

In my experience, Vets are a hell of a lot better educated than doctors.

However, I think contamination is a big issue with this kind of thing.

lots of time i would want to be treated by a vet before a medical doctor. And it does work.

Veterinarian have PhD in medecine, animal medecine. PhD are the real titles in any field, they mean equivalent studies (engineering, psychology, veterianrian studies). General practitionners (doctors for humans) have the equivalent of a master degree (called md degree) in medecine. In fact, their doctor title is not appropriate, in other discipline it is only held by people who did the studies. So, yes, vets are more educated in medecine than GP are. Only specailists in medecine for human have the PhD.

Believe it or not, it did happen to me to ask a vet for my daughter child sickness. He told me what to do. Oh, and they are better at treating lyme disease, and they have no fright of losing their license if they suggest alternative medecine.
