Here is a place where you can download all kinds of military manuals.
While I doubt many here will need to learn how to drive a tank,
or do field maintenance on shoulder-fired rockets, there are some great things there.
Army, Air Force Survival Manuals, for instance.
Basics on keeping dry and warm, Building quick shelters,
identifying edible, and poisonous plants, and insects, etc:

Love this thread, I have been picking up do it yourself books at thrift shops, soapmaking, how to build stuff, preserve foods etc. but these downloads are a great free source of knowledge.
