This is exactly what the ex lobbyist Jack Abramoff has now come out to disclose about how the Lobbying racket works. If you promise a congressman/senator that they will have a million dollar job when they are done, you now own their vote. This is the same done by defense contractors. There needs to be laws like the recently passed anti trust laws that prohibits those inside congress/senate being able to use insider information for trading of stocks. This was common practice for years until this law. Its hard though to get the foxes to police themselves when they are inside the hen house.
