A landscape photographer shot this photo of the northern lights and what appears to be an Alien looking down upon the earth. This is pretty eerie. Enjoy
(it reminds me of the wicked witch looking through her crystal ball, from wizard of oz)

This is just another case of Pareidolia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia), our minds trying to assign meaning where there is none.
Also the thread is poorly named, but at least is not the YouTube title of "Amazing Alien Sighted in the Northern lights". :)
As a side note: The Wikipedia entry above calls the "face on mars" to be an illusion as well saying: "Later imagery from other angles did not contain the illusion". However the editor of the article failed to link to such images for other angles.

I dont know if this helps but regards to that thing where people assign meaning, well we also generally find faces in pictures much more easily than anything else. Cool picture though, who knows.

A new word to my vocabulary too. The problem is: Will I ever remember it? :o

Hi starchild111 !
Thanks for the post. The only thing I can add to this is that last June during a rainstorm I got a very normal looking
(meaning "just like us":) KING and Queen gazing down on me as I traveled along the road below. One day I may get
around to getting it copyrighted so I can share it here on Avalon, but there was absolutely nothing ominous about these
two (thank GOODNESS!). However, I must say that they were noncommittal in countenance and all I could think of was a
line from a piece called "Ye Watchers and Ye Holy Ones" by John AL Riley, in the English Hymnal (London:Oxford University Pres, 1906)number 519.
Also, somehow the word BALANCE also comes to mind. .... Or maybe we just see what we are looking for in life!;-)
Ilie I looked up Pareidolia and the meaning got so complicated to me .... a sort of "off the wall" person (If it looks like a face, it must BE a face!ha)
that I wished I hadn't! Have a nice day everyone! Cheers! M6*

if you really study it, there "appears" to be more than one face. Its food for thought at the very least.:alien:

I've never listened to is with the volume up. But I don't see any fear or feel any fear, I see curiosity, and opportunity to create with your mind, what it is you see, and the possibility that maybe someone is up there being the ultimate spectator. We know they are up there anyway, why not like this?????Possibilities are endless. : )

the music creates the mood.. the picture is cool.. would have liked to see video footage...
i think others would see fear by the way it is portrayed..
if one could redo it without copyright and place some inquisitive music.. the mood would change..
maybe some doctor who :)
