hey Skib, my good luck charm is home, you back in Japan again?

it shows it was way off shore, why did they feel it so strong on the island?

7.3 EARTHQUAKE !! Japan saying 5.0 .. remember last time Japan saying 7.4 when it was a 9.1

Yes it was a very long quake.. we were in a convenience store in Osaka and my misses felt it. Now the coastal areas are under tsunami warnings. Coming in 5 mins plus after shocks are already happening. My misses has had ringing in her ears all day.

The TV now showing pictures of a nuclear power plant. Another plant near the last one.

I'll keep you updated....

EDIT: Now they are saying it's 7.3

We had a large one a few days before the 9.1. Today is the 7th. Maybe the 11th we will have another?

Anyway tonight all looks ok. TV is still yapping about it showing quivering cameras in NHK offices and stuff. Trains delayed etc ect.. But for those in Tokyo they are saying that it was a long one. I'm in a hotel at the moment but will be returning to Tokyo on Sunday night.. a few days.

SKi-

Take a peek at this post to get an idea of how long this compounded EQ (7.3 + 6.2 13 minutes apart) has shaken the ground at some distance around, i.e. Tokyo:

http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?30888-Tirelessly-updating-Avalon-on-the-El-Hierro-eruption.&p=594667&viewfull=1#post594667

The La Gomera station recorded it for over an hour!

Monitoring @ Fukushima is off-line (maintenance mode since 7.3 quake) 'til 10th December...
Also Fukushima #1 reactor needed to vent excess pressure following the 7.3 quake (reason for pressure build-up unknown):

Current status of the Fukushima Daiichi NPS and Fukushima Daini NPS after the earthquake (M7.3) at the offshore of Sanriku at 5:18 pm on December 7, 2012.

[As for the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station]
After the earthquake occurred at 5:18 pm on December 7, 2012, we have conducted field patrols at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, and have found there was no problem.

* We will conduct field patrols for the equipments of the cooling system on the outside and the monitoring posts of Units 5 and 6 on December 8.

[As for the Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Station]
After the earthquake occurred at 5:18 pm on December 7, 2012, we have conducted checkups at the Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Station, and have found there was no problem.
Since we had found positive pressure in the reactor building of Unit 1, we have started Stand by Gas Treatment System* (the pressure was 0.05 kPa at that time of the start), and confirmed negative pressure in the reactor building. The negative pressure has been kept currently. We will conduct inspections for the cause of this matter.
The fluctuation of the monitoring post readings is being maintained within the range of normal fluctuation before and after the earthquake and currently no radiation impact to the outside of the power station has been reported due to the earthquake. The Unit 1 of Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Station is under the cold shutdown condition and there is no problem.

* Stand by Gas Treatment System: System that discharges air from the reactor building through exhaust stack to the outside. There are two systems; A and B.

Interesting to compare this quake and the 7.3 precursor to the 3/11 9.0 quake.

Both near same location on fault
Both @ similar depth (33 km vs 32 km).
Both 7.3 magnitude.

37.889°N, 144.090°E
38.424°N 142.836°E (2011 precursor)
Leaving the epicentres ~125 km (77 miles) apart...

http://projectavalon.net/forum4/attachment.php?attachmentid=19561&d=1354927036

Major difference is the 3/11 precursor was a reverse fault type (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fault_(geology)#Dip-slip_faults) earthquake whereas this one was a "normal" one.
Kind Regards, :yo:

the Quake hit on Pearl Harbor day, must be a coincidence...

Ben says they are moving away from using fuel...

Salt water powered Generators already on the market, where in the world will they find salt water...

does Nuclear radiation in the ocean surrounding Japan make the salt water generator run longer?

catching fish that glow is much easier and most are so anxious to get out of the water, they jump in the boat...

hey Japan...

no more nukes...

It's funny you should say that because for the most part of this year I have been having funny synchronicities regarding the time on my phone which is represented in the 24 hour clock. 15:15, 20:20, 12:12 etc and often enough throughout the day to make me take note. When it stopped happening I questioned it in my own mind and it started again. Now this has had me thinking, is there some kind of message hidden therein?

12/12/12... anybody? ;)

well something is happening I feel buzzed from the energy right now...

haven't been seeing the 111 or 1111 that are ahead of an event, so I think we are ok there...

12:12:12 we still don't have peace, Islam has risen up looking for the 12th, we have Israel planning building that will divide Palestine again, and Hamas is so mad he is ready to take Iran's broom and sweep Israel our of the area...

later in his speech he brought up wanting a few cities back for returning Pals...

so ignoring the starting Rhetoric to keep the Right Wingers happy, there is hope in moving towards peace.

It's not what they are saying, it is we who have gathered are creating, melding the world ahead, woven in peace... We rule...
