Jesus, looking down from heaven one day,
watched as a man, went into a church filled
with people. He interrupted the preacher, who
was giving his sermon and began telling the people
about sin, the ten commandments and about God
and jesus. When he was finished, he left.

The next day, jesus was looking down from heaven
and saw the same guy, going into a home, where
people were holding a bible meeting. He began
professing the name of jesus and how sinning will
put you on the road to hell. When he was finished,
he left.

The next day as jesus looked down from heaven, yet
again, he saw the same guy as he barged in on an
out door picnic, held by a lot of christian people.
He began preaching to them about the lord and the
wages of sin and then left.

The next day, as jesus looked down from heaven, he
saw the same guy yet again but this time, he got hit
by a car and soon died.

Jesus met the guy at the pearly gates and asked him
why he only preached to his followers and no one else.
He replied that he was afraid of being rejected by the
sinners, so he played it safe and only spoke to people
that would accept what he was talking about.

Jesus said, since you were afraid to speak my name
in front of sinners, then i will be afraid to speak
your name to my father.

Ah c'mon Jesus. Forgive the guy.
Wonder where I got that idea? :noidea:

Oh yes, what a lovely story.

Thanks so much for sharing.

Reminds me of a lovely tale about a cat and a heater.
The heater was turned on and the cat got warm.
Eventually, after quite awhile, the seasons changed and it became summer.
The cat got hot and moved away from the heater.

Then, guess what happened?
Yep, the seasons changed and it got cool again and the cat moved back towards the heater.

Moral?
Does there have to be one?

Maybe it's that both cats and people like to be warm and comforted.

I hope ( to Christ - he he )

Jesus wasn't a bloody Asperger guy.

Nah. More like, Jesus, save me from your followers. As the Doobie Brothers Sang, "Jesus Is Just Alright With Me".

it is actually clever as a parable of principle, it seems to rest on principles present in the nt, and is clever in that it can serve as a mirror of the following:
spread that which you have to give to only those who would accept it or to all,
like the actual parable of the barns, the one who has acted wisely is not taken, and in violation of the principle, death results, opposite of death is the out-pouring of an abundance, that in tthe imagined form,

it is just energy equalizations, energy flows, how they twist where they twist, and the outputs of energy in both

anycase when i first read it i thought to myself , what a downer, only speaking of sin, maybe his fractious misleading of the flock though only a sin conscious hyponosis (all corporate events have hypnosis of types,...now we know what bored us through the middle ages) got him taken

anycase, all defense is based on the aesthetic instinct to defend what is not elsewhere said
