Hello Dear Friends

I wanted to write a text outlining a practical method of increasing your energy by a special method of breathing or what i call " Gul-Ping "

I stumbled across this one day when i felt quite drained. It was a reaction to a thought deep in my subconscious that i entertained. I have many of these moments but this one stuck as its brought about measurable and positive effects.

It is a method of breathing in readily available energy surrounding you. It can also be used in emergency to calm the self and regain composiure.

First it is important to note when breathing in it is good practice to have good intention whilst breathing. If it is an emergency situation just breathe in the intention of " Hope " . In controlled circumstances you may breathe in the intention of " Love "
" Good Health " or anything else you feel positive about.

Indeed the " Intent " on the in breath is the most effective of changing your physical emotions.

Technique.

To learn this try sitting in a chair, Sit on the edge with feet flat on the ground and back straight.

Now extend the lower jaw so that it protudes out past the upper mandible whilst simultaneously tucking the chin right into the chest. the gap between the teeth should be only a few millimeters. You want to create a venturi effect of the air rushing over the teeth so that it feels cold over the front edges of the teeth. Its the cold air over the two front teeth we want to achieve. This stimulates nerve endings which lead to the body accepting more oxygen.

As you breathe in a big breath you raise the shoulders to allow more oxygen in. You should fill the lungs completely. Then when they are full you should push down and in with the shoulders like you are trying to force the oxygen down into the bottom of the lungs whilst holding the breath.

Hold for 3 to 5 seconds and then breathe out through the mouth quite hard. You should be forcing the air out like you are blowing out a candle with the lips pursed.

Do 10 of these and you will feel a cold energetic sensation in your Thymus Gland situated in behind your breast bone. This is a good thing. This means the cool air is stimulating it.

Make sure you are sitting down, this can make you feel dizzy. Do not fear this reaction but welcome it. This is the energy we want to exersise and indeed let go of as this dizzy energy contains the energy which is making you feel down in the first place. What you are doing in effect is purging un needed and stale energies from the body whilst replacing it with clean new intention filled oxygen.

Once you have achieved this you may go on to step two and breath the oxygen down past your lungs into the lower regions of the body or muldhara region. You may feel it as a deep feeling of energy.

Take the time to learn this technique and follow it closely. The particular effects desired depend on getting the technique right.

You may do this with music and a cup of tea or water.

Once you are done you may lie down and rest to let go of the rest of the energies. Drink water to ground your self once finished.

Its nice to do this before a shower, the water in the shower will rince off all the rest of your accumulated and un wanted energies.

I hope this finds helpful for your well being.

Hugs

Thank you for this post Naniu. It resonates with me totally. When sitting meditating I've noticed how unintentionally my lower jaw seems to slip out past my upper mandible and my mouth has slightly opened to allow my inhaled breath to escape through my mouth, just as you described. I usually pull my jaw back in and close my mouth again when I notice this has occurred but in future I'll just allow it.I also find that after these sessions I sometimes feel the need to lie down and rest for a bit which I've thought weird as I've just been resting in a way whilst sitting meditating.

Cheers matey :)

Thank you Cheyne :-)

When you do this can you feel the coolness in the thymus gland? Its interesting you naturally did a similar technique. This tells me there is something in it thats perhaps intrinsic to our make up. Often these paralells we discover between religions or meditative methods are a tell that this is something important to hold on to.

I would be nterested in seeing if the feeling is similar to yours. Ie, the cold feeling in the thymus, dizzyness etc?

Thank you teradactyl

Please share any experience with this when you try. It will help my research as when i hear reports i also hear finer details of refinement.

My inner voice has directed me to breathe too.
The way I was taught some years ago...focus more on the out breath...
to exhale as much as possible, even coughing the final remnants of air out...
which means the instinctive center then takes care of the IN breath all by itself.
Thanks for confirming my inner voice, Nanoo.

Woah! .. one breath and I almost lost consciousness! ... nice and slooow ... ;)

Controlled breathing has always been one of my favorite ways to augment my consciousness. I used to do a fair bit of sports and the breathing techniques I had to employ to be really good at sports, also had a profound effect on my mind -- so I discovered this importance early on in high school -- around the time I started meditating. It is amazing the little bit of controlled breathing and proper meditation it takes to improve your outlook and enjoyment of life!

Thanks for the tips Nanoo!

Aaah, this very similar to the command breaths i was taught for an indian shaman course i did many years ago.

The out breath should be very hard and be sure to empty everything out, ,even the old car tyre! Hahah

The in breath when it travells past the root of the pineal gland carries your intention past the thymus gland and they communicate your desired intention.

Make a wish :-)

Make it a good one

Enjoy
