View Full Version : "Prepper" is the new "conspiracy theorist" (with added implication of "terrorist")

I almost cannot believe how blatant the propaganda is getting. :frusty:

Not only is the fact that all of these "spree killers" are on some form of psychiatric medication ignored, but this incident is being used to promote the new ad hominem put down of "prepper".

"Ah, so you are concerned about government debt and the fact that the Fed is monetizing $85 billion of debt EVERY month and will continue to do so FOR YEARS? You're not a prepper are you?!?"

First of all, we are not allowed to question the official version of reality - that would make us a "conspiracy theorist".

And now, we are also not allowed to express any concern about the insane, totally unsustainable nature of modern society or the logical end game of the present path i.e. collapse in one form or another, because that would make us a "prepper".

Is it just me, or has the looniness just gone up a notch? And no, I am not talking about the imminent arrival of 21 December 2012.

To be honest, it makes me suspect even more that some quite disruptive events are just around in the corner for the first half of 2013.

Those of us who would be considered ‘preppers’ and self reliant have been spit upon and considered low vibrating, spiritually devoid fear mongers for years . . . . .

Nobody should be spitting on anyone else, certainly not for being a prepper, and definitely not on a forum like this one. I can see that being a prepper might press some people's buttons, but that is a problem for the people with the buttons, not the people doing the prepping.

The spin doctors are work again pointing their fingers at all the wrong directions. I started to read that but I couldn't finish. Freedom of the press is getting a little out of hand. It's not the news it's someone scheleping their opinion at their audience. The news died along time ago. There are no trusted voices anymore just new world order gobblty-gook.

If this all weren't a struggle for life and death it would actually be quite funny. And not darkly funny, either. More like slapstick funny.

The script writers of our collective 'reality' are like soap opera writers working on their 45th season.

Every character has been in a car wreck or a coma; everyone's screwed everyone else's wife.

They've run out of ideas, and there's nowhere else to go. So now they create ludicrous plot lines worthy of satire.

'Preppers are responsible for the end of civilization'. Sure. In the same way that bandages are responsible for flesh wounds.

In fact, you know what, it is funny anyway.
