I was in a crowded airport lounge in Manchester, England, I think around 1999, when I looked across the room and froze instantly in my tracks. I was looking at myself, a casually dressed guy with a family around him (none of whom I recognized). Same height, same age exactly the same in every respect including his body language, and gestures. I was so gobsmacked that I went straight into the restroom to look in the mirror and check what I looked like.

I recognized him so precisely, that I felt I could instantly read his thoughts because his ''mask'' was transparent to me. I followed this guy around for about half an hour, and I got up very close because I was ready to make contact with him and find out who he was. However, he didn't even seem to see me and looked right through me in fact. This made me a little panicky, and when my flight was called I was very worried that I would get to my seat and find him sitting in it, which would have squeezed me clean out of reality!!

has anybody else bumped into their doppelganger?

Love, bram

Hi Bram, interesting story, sounds like you were on two separate timelines that crossed at this one point, but your other self had not got to the point where he could see it.

You might enjoy a story by Jorge-Luis Borges, El Otro (The Other), in which he describes a conversation with his much younger self. His way of explaining how he must have imagined the whole thing actually suggests the exact opposite, namely that it was for real. They are both sitting by a river, but different rivers on different continents.

i've heard people say,..hey, there is someone similar to you. but hey what, i've never seen them yet, perhaps its my right, or perhaps i have not yet been ceded the wonder of such an experience,

the looking through you, perhaps you were seen, but that look is actually a defense mechanism,
wonder then on his post experience

My girlfriend called me one afternoon and was quite mad. She wanted to know why I had lied to her about my whereabouts. I told he that I had not lied, period. She maintained that she had seen me driving around her neighborhood. Again, I told her no, I had not. The tension prevailed for a few days, then all was well.

About a month later she and I were driving back to her house when I saw him! It was me, driving a black car identical to mine. I quickly pointed him out to her and we both laughed. She apologized. this guy looked exactly like me, hair, glasses, thin, tall, etc. Same car.

Another time I was to meet my date at a bar. I walked in and saw her, and smiled. She smiled back. I walked over and slipped my arm around her waist and she backed up, saying "what the hell are you doing"? At the very same instant I saw my date sitting at the bar a few feet away. The first woman was not my date, but looked just like her in every way. They saw each other and talked all night. I barely got to speak. Funny, funny night.

Yep, I've seen many sets of twins across the country, running coast to coast while truckin. Theres so many twins out there it's actually quite spooky. It's as if when we were created, there were only a certain number of molds made for us, and then each time they make a new batch, they just send them to different parts of the country. Funny thing is though, there aren't just twins, there's bunches of the same faces from coast to coast. When you keep running back and forth every week, you really start to notice it. Drivers talk about it all the time. I enjoy playing with people and saying Hi, when I get that dejavue look, like they think they know me. I've had some really interesting converstions, with some of them. ccc.
