Merry Christmas to all. I remember a less commercial and more heartfelt time, some four or more decades ago. We have been led astray by those who have no spiritual connection to Christmas at all. They have sucked the money out of our pockets and spirit our of our hearts, but we let them do it and only we can fix it. The problem and solution are the same. It is us.

May the gift of self-empowerment come to us all this season and ever after.

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate Christmas. My family and i do celebrate it.

Like modwiz, I remember a Christmas which was much more fulfilling. Waking up on Christmas morning filled my body, heart, mind and soul with joy and magic even though there were no gifts under the tree because it was not the custom in Italy then. It was only around 20 years ago that Italy started Christmas gift exchanges.

Santa Claus was just a Christmas figure that came to remind everyone that during this season we should remember the gift of love and forgiveness. Father Christmas, or Santa Claus, never delivered gifts in those days, only goodwill.

Children received gifts and they were delivered on the Epiphany, on January 6. And even though it was exciting to receive gifts delivered by the Befana, nothing compared to the heart warming feelings of Christmas morning. I wish I could feel that again.

May you all be filled with magic if even for a brief moment during this season.

You know what's rather odd, but at the same time very comfortable? Last year was the first year we didn't even bother to go out in the woods to get a Charlie Brown tree. This year is the second, and to boot we're not even doing presents, none of it. We haven't planned it that way, but it just feels right! (LOL) She's having a glass of wine, I'm having a beer(or two), we're teaming up on the homemade Shephard's Pie, and taking turns cranking up our favorite tunes on Youtube.

Not very Christmas like, but we're having a good time. :peace:

Yes, this year definately feels different- yet i am different to last Christmas as well, guess im just still recovering and trying to stabilise on the purple middle path- just hope not to spoil things for the kids.
