Clif has always stated he originally developed what became the Webbot to predict markets... until he realized he was playing with something many times bigger then that. I posted the interview here also.

From my recall for example, there is a clear forecast on what he thinks will happen to silver, it sounds plausible and will certainly be verifiable, since it is a relatively near term window. Other stuff I can't recall off the top of my head. He mentions DeBeers is effectively exiting the diamond market since they lost their monopoly. Everyone knows they have been artificially controlling supply demand for decades, but Russia has now found a huge cache of diamonds that breaks that monopoly and price control (rejoice girls, and demand lower diamond prices, because the market has all the potential in the world to deliver them at any price you want!) There was a fair amount of financially applicable info, of potential predictive value depending on your context. As always use discernment.
