'A spokesman for the Hertfordshire police, responsible for managing the protests
from June 6-9 outside the Grove Hotel, has stated that reporters and protesters will
be allowed inside the outer gates of the Grove Hotel, giving them a fairly good view
of all incoming- and outgoing Bilderberg participants. The downside is, that the
people who are allowed in must first undergo a pat down by a private security firm
named G4S.'

Following a meeting with the Police Liaison Officer, Steve Lee, who is responsible
for managing the protest at the upcoming Bilderberg Meeting, the area suggested
for the media is inside the front entrance of The Grove Hotel and the adjacent field
to directly facing the front entrance, with a good view of all incoming and exiting
vehicles as well as areas on the inside of the main entrance behind the small
boxhedges to accommodate the large numbers of media wishing to cover the event.

It has also been confirmed that portable toilet facilities will be supplied at the site
where it is expected that numbers in the hundreds will congregate to welcome
Bilderberg attendees to The Grove for their annual conference.

An area of the field behind the metal railings will be available to accommodate
anyone wishing to voice their opinions on the event.

However, the main stipulation to allow the media and other protesters onto The
Grove Hotel site is that it will require a pat down by private security firm G4S. This
is a requirement of The Grove Hotel and NOT the Hertfordshire Police Constabulary.
A request for exactly what this will entail shall be made available in the coming
days but I have been told it will not be as intrusive as currently being used at
airports. Steve Lee and other police officers will be present at all times to ensure
compliance of G4S within the agreed limits of their pat downs.

It has also been proposed that the area just outside the gates will be cordoned off
with barriers to allow those who don't wish to be searched the opportunity to
protest in safety. It is a very busy road with large volumes of traffic and this is an
understandable precaution to avoid any accidents.

It has also been proposed by Steve Lee that parking for media and private vehicles
may be made available on Hempstead Road which although having the same name
as the main road passing the front entrance is actually directly opposite the main
entrance and runs parallel to the main Hempstead Road accessible via Courtland's
Drive which is first left after the main entrance coming from the M25.

It is also hoped that a catering outlet will be present on, or close to, the main
entrance.

I'll be in touch with Steve Lee again tomorrow in relation to setting up of press
tents etc. although it has been made clear that there will be no access to the media
area overnight. Times have also to be confirmed for access to the site.

The Grove Hotel, site of the 2013 Bilderberg Group conference, is an ideal spot for
a clandestine meeting because it is secluded by huge driveways and hundreds of
acres of land. Access for protesters to congregate is virtually non-existent, meaning
journalists and activists will be kept far from the actual hotel.

The back exit at the Grove Hotel, site of the clandestine 2013 Bilderberg Group
meeting, is not as long as the front entrance, but there's little room for protesters
to gather nearby which is probably why the Grove was selected as a good venue.
Activists will be able to gather along the side of the road. The Mayor of Watford has
already demonized activists by suggesting they will stage violence at the event.

Hey Stan, I was just reading today how there might be an issue with the type of software Netflix uses to allow your computer to watch films on Netflix. I think the issue lies with the software being used for your computer to watch YouTube clashes with the Netflix software.
I could be wrong about this being the problem on your side but have a look to see if you have software called silverlight which runs Netflix. It clashes with flash, which runs YouTube videos. Good luck.

minded journalist and it was a reminder that we are never going to get out to people

“At the same time a friend of mine saw a ‘radio station’ for sale on the Internet and
although the technology and set-up didn’t suit us the idea was triggered. Let’s start our
own global radio and TV station that can give people 24 hours a day of uncensored
airtime. That was only a little over a month ago and here we are going for it.

“I have so many ideas for what I want in terms of content and much will be generated
by the public, anyway. One thing I want to do is to have a programme showing relevant
videos that people have made themselves that otherwise would only sit on YouTube. We
can have a presenter put them in context and sometimes have the makers in to talk

On the campaign website, he writes:

Think about the implications of that for a second.

The road ahead

When I started out on my present journey nearly 25 years ago I could not walk down any street in Britain without facing constant ridicule. The mainstream media told the nation I was crazy and so many believed it.

In my opinion, I don't think this will be any thing of BB politics. This will likely be a distraction from a real BB meeting in secret some where else. Possibly even on same day. What a distraction that would be, don't you think. Have all the people and protesters at the festival, along with media, journalists, photographers, and such while the real thing is happening elsewhere. Chief Inspector Rhodes said reports from the constabulary's US counterparts at

When you're picking a spot to hold the world's most powerful policy summit, there's really only one place that will do: Watford. I guess the Seychelles must have been booked up.

On Thursday afternoon, a heady mix of politicians, bank bosses, billionaires, chief executives and European royalty will swoop up the elegant drive of the Grove hotel, north of Watford, to begin the annual Bilderberg conference.

It's a remarkable spectacle – one of nature's wonders – and the most exciting thing to happen to Watford since that roundabout on the A412 got traffic lights. The area round the hotel is in lockdown: locals are having to show their passports to get to their homes. It's exciting too for the delegates. The CEO of Royal Dutch Shell will hop from his limo, delighted to be spending three solid days in policy talks with the head of HSBC, the president of Dow Chemical, his favourite European finance ministers and US intelligence chiefs. The conference is the highlight of every plutocrat's year and has been since 1954. The only time Bilderberg skipped a year was 1976, after the group's founding chairman, Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, was caught taking bribes from Lockheed Martin.

It may seem odd, as our own lobbying scandal unfolds, amid calls for a statutory register of lobbyists, that a bunch of our senior politicians will be holed up for three days in luxurious privacy with the chairmen and CEOs of hedge funds, tech corporations and vast multinational holding companies, with zero press oversight. "It runs contrary to [George] Osborne's public commitment in 2010 to 'the most radical transparency agenda the country has ever seen'," says Michael Meacher MP. Meacher describes the conference as "an anti-democratic cabal of the leaders of western market capitalism meeting in private to maintain their own power and influence outside the reach of public scrutiny".

But, to be fair, is "public scrutiny" really necessary when our politicians are tucked safely away with so many responsible members of JP Morgan's international advisory board? There's always the group chief executive of BP on hand to make sure they do not get unduly lobbied. And if he is not in the room, keeping an eye out, then at least one of the chairmen of Novartis, Zurich Insurance, Fiat or Goldman Sachs International will be around.

This year, there will be a great deal more "public scrutiny" of Bilderberg. Pressure from journalists and activists has won concessions from the venue: for the first time in 59 years there will be an unofficial press office, staffed by volunteers, on the grounds. Several thousand activists and bloggers are expected, along with photographers and journalists from around the world.

Back in 2009 there were barely a dozen witnesses – harassed and arrested by heavy-handed Greek police. This year there is a press zone, police liaison, portable toilets, a snack van, a speakers' corner – all the ingredients for a different Bilderberg. A "festival feel" has been promised. If you are concerned about transparency or lobbying, Watford is the place to be next weekend. Whether the delegates reach out to the press and public remains to be seen. Don't forget, they've got their hands full carrying out the good works of Bilderberg. The conference is, after all, run as a charity.

If you've been wondering who picks up the tab for this gigantic conference and security operation, the answer arrived last week, on a pdf file sent round by Anonymous. It showed that the Bilderberg conference is paid for, in the UK, by an officially registered charity: the Bilderberg Association (charity number 272706).

According to its Charity Commission accounts, the association meets the "considerable costs" of the conference when it is held in the UK, which include hospitality costs and the travel costs of some delegates. Presumably the charity is also covering the massive G4S security contract. Fortunately, the charity receives regular five-figure sums from two kindly supporters of its benevolent aims: Goldman Sachs and BP. The most recent documentary proof of this is from 2008 (pdf), since when the charity has omitted its donors' names (pdf) from its accounts.

The charity's goal is "public education". And how does it go about educating the public? "In furtherance of these objectives the International Steering Committee organises conferences and meetings in the UK and elsewhere and disseminates the results thereof by preparing and publishing reports of such conferences and meetings and by other means." Cleverly, it disseminates the results by resolutely keeping them away from the public and press.

The charity is overseen by its three trustees (pdf): Bilderberg steering committee member and serving minister Kenneth Clarke MP; Lord Kerr of Kinlochard; and Marcus Agius, the former chairman of Barclays who resigned over the Libor scandal.

Labour MP Tom Watson remarks: "If the allegations that a cabinet minister sits on the board of a charity that discreetly funds a secretive conference of elites are true then I hope the prime minister was informed. It was David Cameron who heralded the new age of transparency. I hope he asks Kenneth Clarke to adhere to these principles in future." At the very least, George Osborne and Clarke may consider adhering to the ministerial code when it comes to Bilderberg and declare it in their list of "meetings with proprietors, editors and senior media executives" as they've failed to do in the past. Of course, with the lobbying scandal in full spate it's possible our ministers will steer clear of such a major corporate lobbying event. We'll find out on Thursday.

secracy. The Bilderberg Group is famously shy of press attention, but this year its
annual confab is inundated with reporters from some of the world's top media
outlets. RT's Sara Firth went to Watford near London to try and find out what the

David Cameron will attend the secretive Bilderberg Group meeting of some of the
world's most powerful politicians and businessmen, Downing Street has announced.

The three-day event is being held at a luxury hotel near Watford and the Prime
Minister has been invited as head of the host nation’s government, a Number 10
spokesman said.

However, despite promising to lead “the most open and transparent government
ever”, Mr Cameron will not disclose any details of who he meets on Friday, or what
he discusses while he is there.

It is believed to be the first time that Mr Cameron has attended the controversial
annual gathering of 140 delegates from 21 countries.

A spokesman for the Prime Minister said: “It is a private meeting. He has been
invited as head of the government here.

“The Prime Minister views this as an opportunity to discuss important issues with
senior ministers, business people and academics. He will be discussing a range of
issues. There won’t be a read-out.”



Mr Cameron has been committed to promoting “transparency” in government and
has made available more information and details of meetings between ministers
and external organisations, the spokesman said.

"The Prime Minister has always been clear about the importance of transparency.
The Prime Minister has meetings with key ministers from other countries and with
business people as part of his job but that doesn't mean that he's not determined
to lead the most transparent government," the spokesman said.

However, Downing Street is expected to face calls to explain how the meeting can
be regarded as “private” when Mr Cameron is attending in his official capacity as
Prime Minister.

Calls for more details to be given of Mr Cameron’s contacts at the event are likely
to intensify as the guest list also includes George Osborne, the Chancellor of the
Exchequer, and Kenneth Clarke, another senior Tory minister.

The meetings began in 1954 as a forum to bring together the leaders of Western
Europe and the United States to address the threat from the Soviet Union.

All discussions are held on strictly confidential terms and security at the meetings is
notoriously tight.

Previous gatherings have attracted angry demonstrations and protesters. Downing
St declined to give details over whether taxpayers would pay the bill for policing the
meeting in Hertfordshire.

Ed Balls, the Shadow Chancellor, is also attending, along with Lord Mandelson, the
former Labour Cabinet minister.

Other guests include Christine Lagarde, the managing director of the International
Monetary Fund, Eric Schmidt, executive chairman of Google, and Jose Manuel
Barroso, president of the European Commission.

David Cameron is to attend a behind-closed-doors meeting of global business
leaders, politicians and academics that critics say is too secretive.Downing Street

Protesters heckled those arriving at the four-day event on Thursday.

The annual Bilderberg meetings of the world's political and financial elite are
pitched as a forum for "informal, off-the-record discussions about megatrends and
the major issues facing the world".


When two worlds collide in Watford

The Bilderberg Group say the private nature of the conferences allow people
to "listen, reflect and gather insights" without being bound by "pre-agreed
positions".

But critics say the numbers of people attending - around 140 are invited from
Europe and the US - mean it should be more accountable.

Downing Street confirmed Mr Cameron's attendance on Friday, saying he
would "participate in a discussion around domestic and global economic issues".

"He feels it is an opportunity to discuss economic issues with senior ministers,
businesspeople and academics," a spokesman said.

The Bilderberg group says that topics to be discussed at its 2013 meeting include
economic growth, cyber warfare, medical research trends, Middle East
developments and EU politics.

Other attendees include business leaders like Google boss Eric Schmidt, prime
minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte, former US commander in Afghanistan and
former CIA director General Petraeus and former Barclays chairman Marcus Agius.

'Utter secrecy'

Downing Street indicated it would not be providing a summary of Mr Cameron's
discussions to the press but denied it was a departure from the prime minister's
pledge to lead the most transparent government in the world.

"The prime minister regularly has meetings with key ministers from other countries
and with business people and others as part of his job," the spokesman said.

"We have advanced the fact that he is doing this today. It is not as though he has
gone to do this without telling anyone about it."

Labour MP Michael Meacher, who was among protesters outside the Grove Hotel on
Thursday said: "These are people who are all in the most dominant positions in the
governance of Western capitalism.

"They only meet in order to concert their plans about the future of capitalism over
the immediate future period - the next year or two.

"My objection is that it's being done in utter secrecy with the police keeping
everyone else out."

Two influential think tanks have warned that austerity measures in the UK could
still be in place when the 2020 election takes place.

"We are still as far away from the (budget deficit) target as we were in 2010," the
Institute for Fiscal Studies and the Institute for Government said.

"Indeed, it would not be surprising if not just 2015 but also 2020 was an 'austerity'
election."

The warnings came in a briefing ahead of the Spending Review on 26 June.

Chancellor George Osborne's review will cover spending after the next election.

Mr Osborne originally predicted in 2010 that he could balance the budget within
four years, but that is now not expected to happen until 2017-18.

Higher taxes

While the government has stuck to most of its plans from 2010, there has been less
growth than expected, which has reduced the amount of money the government
has taken in taxes.The think tanks warned that whoever is chancellor after the next
election will probably have to raise taxes straight away.The warning of extended
austerity was based on the experience in Canada in the 1980s and 1990s, when the
government needed to bring the budget deficit under control.

"If the UK experience proves to be as drawn out as the Canadian one, we should
expect not just 2015 but also 2020 to be an austerity election," the briefing said.

A budget deficit exists when a government is spending more than it is raising.

Agreed cuts

Mr Osborne has already said how much government spending needs to be cut in
2015-16.

The overall cut in the parts of spending that departments can influence will have to
fall by 2.8%.

But as a result of spending on health, education and international aid being
protected, unprotected departments' spending will have to fall by 8% in the year.

Those cuts for unprotected departments could be even more severe if the
government decides to cut defence or home office spending by less than average.

The chancellor announced at the end of May that he had already reached
agreement with eight government departments to make cuts of between 8% and
10% in 2015-16.

The departments that have agreed the cuts are: the Ministry of Justice, the
Department for Communities and Local Government, the Department for Energy
and Climate Change, HM Treasury, the Cabinet Office, the Foreign and
Commonwealth Office, and the Northern Ireland Office.

This is a necessary action because we can see from the rise in incidents that too many people in our society have lost the respect they need to have for a police officer. We need to make it very clear that when a police officer is performing his duty, every citizen needs to comply and that refusal to comply carries a penalty.”

The bill establishes this crime as a Class E Felony, punishable by up to four years in prison.

Loved that video, the song really helps capture the vibe of the day, I saw my back in a few of the shots and I recognised most of the people from that day there was such a feeling of togetherness. I would say it was one of the highlights of my life, the day was so special.

We arrived fairly early on that day so we got in no problem, just want to say in my experience on that day the police were very professional and dare I say it, even friendly.
I did hear that people were not being let in which must have been frustrating as some had travelled so far and we all did try to create extra space by huddling up closer together, but I think a number had been set from whoever set the numbers. They definitely could have safely fitted in more people.

The story that was circulating was that it was Group 4, the private corporate security company, not the police that had set the numbers that were to be allowed in. There was some argument against this as aren't the police supposed to work for us, the taxpayers, not group 4 the corporate security company. But even most of the group 4 guys were friendly, they were just doing their job.

My favourite shot in the video is when the police lady joins in the group hug, you can just see the joy on her face, it was really quite moving. I spoke to a police officer as I was leaving and he told me how he had enjoyed the day. I asked if he had listened to any of the speakers and he just gave me a smile, that I interpreted as yes but don’t tell anyone, oops.

Everyone seemed really respectful to the site, picking up litter etc. I think this is how we are going to bring more people in to listen to the issues that we are raising. I spoke to one father and daughter, the daughter dragging the father along, who was a little suspicious about the whole thing but he was totally sold on that special day.

Alex Jones got an amazing reception. I think English people get Alex Jones because many are not the clinking tea cups, stiff upper lip stereo type that many perceive the English . The Artist Taxi driver video that is doing the rounds at the moment with Alex and Max encapsulates a lot of English people. Like the artist taxi driver they can be very passionate and a bit foul mouthed and because of this they can tolerate it in others.

Of course this annoyed some who cannot see through the style to the substance. Actually you will see that Alex gets even more interest on his sites after he has these rants. He has been ranting and raving for years that is his thing. If it does not work how come he is one of the most popular members of the alternative media drawing attention to these issues. It draws attention because it breaks taboos. Many people in the UK are getting pretty angry about what is happening in the world, they can relate to someone who has also had enough.

I have no doubt that some people are taking what Alex Jones and others did this weekend and taking it to heart and growing energetically. That is their choice, to either be in unity or to create more divisiveness. I'm not talking about the 3000 people who already know who Alex is.

My main point, is that Alex going on National TV and ranting to the unwashed masses who watch mainstream TV, does not help. It might make some curious as to who he is, which will cause them to further look into it, and will most likely cause "some" people to wake up....

I've seen clips of old tv quiz shows from the 50s/60s, and whilst I don't consider myself to be "dumb", some of the questions are bloody hard! Compare the equivalent today, and you generally get multiple choice, the real answer usually obvious.

The way things are going, future generations will be limited to single syllable words, and punctuation will be a thing of the past. Let's not willingly usher in a time like that to cater for the "Britain's/America's got talent" crowd; use the language, keep it diverse, make it challenging.

Bilderberg: Ken Clarke 'forgot' he was a trustee of funding group

Kenneth Clarke has admitted that he may have failed fully to
declare his role organising the secretive meetings of the
Bilderberg Group of world leaders.

The senior minister without portfolio is one of three trustees of the Bilderberg
Association, the organisation that funded the conference last week.

Mr Clarke told the Commons that he had “forgotten” that the controversial
gatherings were paid for from funds raised by the group.

He said he was checking his records to see whether he had informed civil servants
of his role, as would be expected to avoid potential suggestions of a conflict of
interest.

Mr Clarke made the disclosure while answering questions over the “private”
meeting of 140 of the world’s most powerful executives, politicians, ministers and
advisers, which took place at a hotel near Watford last week.

The minister, who has been a member of the Bilderberg Group steering committee
for 10 years, attended the annual event, along with David Cameron, George
Osborne, Ed Balls and Lord Mandelson.

Mr Clarke attacked as “rubbish” the conspiracy theories swirling around the
mysterious gathering, which was also attended by Christine Lagarde, the managing
director of the International Monetary Fund, Eric Schmidt, executive chairman of
Google, Bob Dudley, chief executive of BP, and Jose Manuel Barroso, president of
the European Commission.

However, the senior Labour MP Tom Watson asked Mr Clarke whether he had
declared his trusteeship of the body that funded last week’s meeting, the Bilderberg
Association.

Mr Clarke replied: “I am looking that up because I had forgotten that I am actually
a member of the steering committee.

“When we were hosting at Watford, I discovered that amongst other things, I am a
trustee of the British steering group, so I am checking with the aid of my
constituency secretary, whether I put that in.

“I had completely forgotten that the thing was set up on that basis,” he said.

“The trustees have never met as trustees. All I actually do is sit as a member of the
committee and play my part in the organisation of a meeting and that is all I have
ever done.”

Mr Clarke said he had never spoken before in the Commons “to answer questions
on behalf of a private organisation for which the British government has absolutely
no responsibility whatever”.

Those attending the meeting go there an “off-the-record, informal discussion” but
have no intention to “plot” or “decide anything", Mr Clarke said.

“With the greatest respect, this is total, utter nonsense,” he added.

The minister was answering an urgent question in the Commons from Michael
Meacher, the Labour MP and former minister, who asked why no official statement
had been made about the discussions at the meeting.

While watching the real-time live streamings on Alex Jones' site of the Fringe Festival, there was an interesting 5 minute interview with a young UK man who had been writing for several years to authorities to discover more about the secret Bildergroup Group. He held within his hands some documents. It took 2 years for him to receive a reply, the letter stated that the people who attended these meetings were 'the winners in life' - what an interesting way of describing them!?! I personally found this most revealing and gave me negative goosebumps (if you know what I mean).

And, IF this meeting as the 'official story' goes, is just for the 'winners in life' having a friendly gathering (nothing to do with policy making, wink wink, nudge nudge, scratch my back and I will scratch yours) why does the British tax payer have to 'pay' for the gigantic security that just took place in Watford????? Many of these people are multimillionaires yet they seem to have great difficulty of putting their hands in their own pockets to finance this for 'their secret gathering' and expect the public to 'foot the bill' for their so called friendly gathering???? I do hope a big parliamentary inquiry takes place over this affair as this stinks to high heaven - disabled peopled are being robbed of the pennies they get in benefits yet it is 'okay' for UK tax payers to pay for multimillionaires to have a secret meeting. The 'Time' has arrived to wake up fast - humanity is being robbed left, right and centre by these 'winners in life'.

The lens caps are back on for another year. The satellite trucks have trundled off, the police patrols have melted away and the security fence has been forklifted off. Bilderberg has left the building and finally the residents of Old Hempstead Road are getting their verge back.

No one who witnessed it will soon forget Bilderberg Watford. Or "Hertfordshire 2013" as the official security lanyards call it, coyly. (The organisers clearly couldn't quite bring themselves to embrace the name Watford – it hasn't got that blue-chip, billionaire ring to it.)

"Hertfordshire 2013" went out with a bang, not a whimper, as talkshow host Alex Jones exploded on Sunday Politics, and Ken Clarke found himself answering questions in parliament. Issues of security funding, lobbying registers and undeclared interests remain, but they will be picked apart in the weeks to come. For now, it's time for Watford to reflect on what just happened.

"I wouldn't join 'em, even if they asked me," said Jack Ruck, an 87-year-old RAF veteran. Jack stared up at the luxury Grove Hotel. "200 quid a night? I'd rather sleep in my car." Jack felt a genuine pang of sorrow for the Bilderberg delegates, spending so long conferencing in their five-star gulag. "What do they want out of life?" he wondered. "I think they'd have been happier round my back garden having a barbecue."

Of all the politicians and policymakers at Bilderberg this year, the happiest, without a doubt, was none of the delegates. It was Michael Meacher. He had such a rewarding time in the press zone on Thursday – "the most fun I've had in the last 20 years of politics" – that he came back towards the end of the conference to deliver a barnstorming speech at the Bilderberg Fringe.

A grey and dapper fireball of righteous indignation, Meacher energised the crowds, railing mightily against the failure of democracy that the conference represents. He pointed out the irony that that while people were demanding more transparency from those in power, the public themselves have never been more transparent to the powers that be, with every email, text and private message visible to GCHQ & co.

The crowd whooped and roared, the sun blazed and the years fell away from Meacher. He hopped off the platform like a young firebrand, and was mobbed by grateful campaigners. "This moment is historical," smiled Basílio Martins, a journalist from Portugal. "People need to know about Bilderberg, and now they start to know."

At the weekend, the press zone inside the hotel grounds morphed into a public zone, and the crowds were astonishing. Two thousand people inside the paddock – that's up from barely a dozen in 2009. A huge queue of people zig-zagged up and down Grove Mill Lane; it's estimated that another 2,000 were turned away. So, more people were turned away from Bilderberg 2013 than had shown up to all previous Bilderberg conferences put together. If that's not a sign of the times, I don't know what is.

But the biggest change has been in the coverage. Finally, after 59 years, Bilderberg has beeped its way onto the radar of the mainstream press. Basílio showed me photocopies of some Portuguese papers. He translated from the Diário Económico: "They get together to define the political agenda of the world." Portugal's main opposition leader, António José Seguro, was confronted by journalists on live television, and asked about Bilderberg. "He was very angry, he turned his face and said he would not answer."

David Cameron is likely to face questions from journalists about the visit he paid to Bilderberg on Friday. But he'll be fine about that, as Downing Street declared: "The Prime Minister has always been clear about the importance of transparency."

Tamsin Cave of the Alliance for Lobbying Transparency is sceptical. "The Prime Minister is a public servant. His job is to represent the public interest. When he is meeting with this elite group of business leaders whose interest is he really serving?"

One pro-transparency campaigner has had enough: "For too long, those in power made decisions behind closed doors, released information behind a veil of jargon and denied people the power to hold them to account."

This particular critic of closed-doors government is a certain David Cameron, speaking shortly after taking office. "This coalition is driving a wrecking ball through that culture," he said, "and it's called transparency."

Cameron wasn't the only one swinging the wrecking-ball of transparency inside this year's Bilderberg. He was joined on the end of the chain by Jessica Mathews, who sits on the advisory council of Transparency International, and James Wolfensohn, who's on the advisory council of Transparency International USA. Together, I'm sure, they were lobbying hard to open up this last bastion of murky politicking to the sunlight. If they could find the time between seminars.

No time for slacking off and lolling about on the lawns. These oil company bosses and billionaire venture capitalists have got "Africa's challenges" to sort out, and all that "big data" to divvy up. That's why, as Bilderberg's brand new "media contact" told me, the conference food is "buffet only, all days, all meals". You don't align this many diaries to waste time on banqueting. A scoop of coronation chicken and a bread roll, then it's back to the coalface.

"Aye, they're hard at work up there," said Jamie Hughes, who drove seven straight hours from Kilmarnock to see the event for himself. "They've got deals to sign, the world to globalise – it always gets me how busy they are."

Jamie is impressed by their industry, if not their candour. "Our politicians have lied to us for years. At first it makes you depressed, then it makes you angry." Is that why you're here, I asked him, because you're angry? "I'm here because I don't trust them."

Trust and loo rolls, two things that were in short supply in Watford this week. Up behind the security fence, politicians and prime ministers skulked around with billionaire industrialists and media moguls at the world's biggest private corporate lobbying jolly, while down in the Bilderberg press paddock it was so busy that the portaloo roll-holders ran low. Over by the hedge, the Hare Krishnas did a roaring trade with their free vegetable curries. A connection? I prefer not to speculate.

The free food and glorious sunshine kept the mood light, and the only time you saw a policeman with arms around a protester was for a souvenir photo. Inspector Moss of Herts Constabulary spent days pedalling around the venue, keeping an eye on the crowds. He hopped off long enough to give his verdict. "It's been very peaceable, no issues. Everyone's been friendly, polite."

Dutch journalist Jurriaan Maessen agrees. "It's a great atmosphere on the ground, beautiful people, very dynamic. I have beautiful feelings about it," he says. "There are all kinds of people here. Different opinions. It is not monolithic."

Maessen is covering "Hertfordshire 2013" for explosivereports.com. Half a mile away, his prime minister was closeted with the head of Google, the chief executive of Royal Dutch Shell and the chairman of Lazard International (otherwise known as Lord Mandelson).

"I feel a kind of moral indignation," Maessen says. "I pay taxes, so I want to know what my elected officials are talking about. That's how I'd like my politics to be. It is time for Bilderberg to make a choice: either it's private, you hold a nice little party, but you don't let the police secure your event, you pay all the costs, and it's a nice little talking shop between friends. Or it's not private."

As to what they're discussing, "perhaps they are sitting around saying beautiful things. A bunch of enlightened souls sitting together."

Maessen smiles at the thought. "I doubt it though."

David Icke makes some very good points about things here although he does not mention Russia standing up to the other 7 countries and not allowing weapons to be supplied to the rebels. I would very much like to hear his views on Russia and why he thinks they are blocking supply of weapons to he rebels. After watching the press conference live at the G8 summit and a few other interviews on Russian tv with Vlademer Putin i have noticed he is much more open and speaks hi mind when questioned. He does not shy away from questions and if he has something to say he says it. I would really like to hear other peoples view of the Russian stance in this situation and i am well aware of the contracts Russia has with Syria in regards to weapons supplied to them and the tight restrictions Russia puts on them. At this stage i am more inclined to believe the Russian government concerning world events including their views on ufo and i hope they do release to the world the information we are in dire need of knowing.

OTTAWA — Infamous British conspiracy theorist David Icke appeared in an Ottawa
courtroom Monday to testify in a defamation trial that pits a human rights lawyer
against a conservative website.

Icke, a former British professional soccer player whose 2000 speaking tour of Canada
led to protests and the cancellation of some events, gave evidence on behalf of Mark
and Connie Fournier, the former proprietors of the website Freedominion.com.

The Fourniers are being sued for libel by Ottawa lawyer Richard Warman over messages
posted on the site in 2007 that he claims were defamatory of him. Two commenters on
the site are also named as defendants.

The Fourniers’ lawyer, Barbara Kulaszka, told the court Icke was being called to testify
about the truth of one of the allegedly libelous posts on the message board that claimed
Warman was “part of a nasty group of enemies of free speech.”

Warman has launched numerous lawsuits and complaints alleging violation of hate-
speech laws or the Canadian Human Rights Act, raising the ire of some free-speech
advocates and making him a frequent target of criticism in the conservative blogosphere.

Kulaszka read for the court letters that Warman had written to then-Liberal Immigration
Minister Elinor Caplan and other immigration department officials in 2000 that warned
against admitting Icke to the country on his speaking tour.

In the letters, Warman said that Icke’s anti-Semitic writings allege a conspiracy
between the world’s Jewish elite and Freemasons to establish an oppressive global
government.

Icke testified Warman’s efforts led to the cancellation of speaking events on the 2000
tour and hassles at the hands of Canada immigration officials, including when he arrived
in Ottawa on Saturday.

“I started to realize there was a campaign to stop me and I was being painted as some
kind of racist who was going to be engaged in hate speech, when I talk in my books
about the need to love each other,” he told the court.

“That was shocking and the name Richard Warman started to appear as one of the
ringleaders of this extraordinarily unfair character assassination.”

Icke is best known for his theory that the world is controlled by descendants of
extraterrestrial reptiles, Queen Elizabeth II among them. He told the court he has
written more than 20 books, translated into 20 languages, and that his website gets
three million unique visits each month.

Icke rejected Warman’s allegations that his writing was anti-Semitic.

“Racism is a grotesque stupidity and a moronic belief of judging people based on the
nature of their genetics, yet I’m accused of it,” he said.

“What I talk about is Zionism, a political movement that his challenged by many Jewish
people vehemently.”

Warman had also accused Icke of writing that a “cabal of Jews” was responsible for the
rise of Hitler, the Russian revolution and other “nefarious” historical events.

Icke responded that Trotsky and Lenin were Zionists and said current Russian President
Vladimir Putin had recently noted that that 80 to 85 per cent of the members of first
communist government of the Soviet Union were Jewish.


“I’m a researcher. What am I supposed to say — they come from Outer Mongolia?”

Icke stood in the witness box throughout his testimony after telling Judge Robert J.
Smith that his arthritic knees made it difficult to sit.

On cross-examination, Warman’s lawyer, James Katz, questioned Icke about his books
that made reference to wild and unproved allegations that former Canadian prime
ministers Pierre Trudeau and Brian Mulroney, as well as U.S. Presidents George H.W.
Bush and Ronald Reagan, had all raped the same woman.

Katz read parts of Icke’s books that had quoted the allegation that mind-controlled
mothers and daughters were transported from the U.S. across the Canadian border at
Niagara Falls for Mulroney to rape them. Trudeau, the books alleged, had been a Jesuit
cooperating with the Vatican in these crimes.

Asked if he believes these bizarre claims to be true, Icke said he did.

“Absolutely, because it’s true,” he said.

Icke also noted he had never been sued by Mulroney nor had ever been charged for any
hate speech while in Canada.

Katz suggested to Icke that his books draw on The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, which
purports to be a blueprint for global Jewish domination but has been widely discredited
as a hoax perpetrated by anti-Semites.

Asked if he now accepts The Protocols as fake, debunked by academics, Icke
responded, ”My jury is out on it because I’m a researcher. Academics once told
everyone the world was flat.”

In her opening statement before presenting a defence of the libel claims, Kulaszka said
the website posts Warman complained of show “how utterly trivial this lawsuit is. Some
don’t even mention Richard Warman,” she said. “Some are obvious jokes.”

“The paltry few lines he is suing for could not damage his reputation,” she told the
court. She said Warman had made himself into a public figure through repeated use of
Canada’s hate-speech laws.

The civil case is being tried before a six-member jury. The trial is expected to continue
until next week.

One member comments, "Above all, I think David Icke represents a political threat,
because his writings are anti-Semitic." Efforts are also made by protestors to have Icke
deported and his book seized and incinerated under Canadian Hate Crimes Legislation.

Icke is invited to a book signing at one of Canada's biggest book chains unaware that
they have received calls warning about possible violent demonstrations. As a result, the
book signing is called off. Following this, two radio interviews are cancelled. Icke views
these attacks as part of dynamics of the conspiracy which prevent the truth from being
told and calls one of the offending radio station managers "one of the architects,
unknowingly, of the destruction of our freedom."

But the anti-Icke coalition begins to fall apart. The powerful Canadian Jewish Congress
has already withdrawn, stunned by the lack of public support. The few remaining
protestors resort to desperate measures. They decide to toss a cream-pie at Icke at a
book signing; two protestors don giant lizard outfits as a decoy. In an embarrassing

Great news! I have followed this project along with David for the past several months. When he had the first video up and walked around the place, still totally inbuilt, I had doubts that it would succeed. A bit later the next video showed substantial progress and now it appears that this is going to happen. Well I am just about to clock off for the night, yet wanted to report that I have watched the last 4 hours of the live streaming of 'The People's Voice' and I have been really impressed! So many topics expressed, clearly explaining the truth behind the main stream 'Jackanory story' - absolutely brilliant!

I see huge potential with this, and will hold in my focus that Ofcom do not intervene to stop the truth being spoken openly. These topics should be allowed to be discussed openly on the internet as it involves all of us.

I really sense if 'we' in the alternative community support this, (I know I can find £1 a month to support this worthy cause), it is worth it, giving people around the world the chance to learn and really think: Support as I see it isn't just about money, one can just email friends and sending them the link to watch the streamings from wherever they are in the world, this will have a profound conscious shift on people having the opportunity to consciously piece together the jigsaw puzzle pieces and see clearly the games that are going on - such conscious awareness will make such a big difference to humanities future.

I do hope others will join this thread and watch these streamings and be patient while those who work busy in the back scenes iron out what is needed for everything to run smoothly. Tonight as I see it has been a success and very professionally broadcast. Surely this is one of those nodal points we in the alternative community have been waiting for to unfold?

So I am bumping this thread - this is important and another key stage to humanity waking up in my humble opinion.

Were you there last night eyes wide open, we've probably had a conversation in real life and not realized it. I was in the studio mainly getting in peoples way, but despite the expected technical glitches here and there I think it went well. Certainly was a great atmosphere, there is so many people putting so much time and effort into this, mostly for free and it is great that it is up and running, well kind of.

I think what is great about it,as much as the TV content, is that it is created a center where a lot of networking has taken place where further projects and ideas will be created

Yes the eye lighting might be seen as a negative in the close ups and yes the sound was a little dodgy but these are all teething problem that will be overcome. A great start In my opinion well worth a contribution. Good luck and fair wind to all.
