View Full Version : Spit-balling

This is a thread to spit-ball spiritual (rather than wax poetic).
As I always do before creating a thread, I questioned whether or not I should even do it. After all, there is the 'Here and Now' thread, which is along a very similar vein.

The difference is that with this thread I would like to provide a place where various pearls of wisdom or random insights of a specifically spiritual nature can be posted, where they might be too off-topic elsewhere. Mods; I therefore apologize if this is unwarranted or misguided.

Sometimes we have those strange moments when it feels like the universe is speaking to us, from behind the scenes or between the lines, if you will. These are times when suddenly events, perceptions, and even people themselves are at once seen in the light of a greater yet mysteriously elusive truth. It is like remembering that there's a script, after all, and the stage is nearly seen for what it really is before we, the players, are yanked back into the performance.

I believe some people consider these moments as experiences of 'synchronicity'.

I have experienced these before, and at times I lost the message soon afterward in the noise. The most recent of these occurred tonight, only an hour ago. I would usually be content to keep it to myself, as I have usually done in the past. The message that this one seemed to convey, however, was stronger than usual and it just seemed to demand sharing.

It is not, perhaps, an original or particularly profound thought. Indeed, I know that it isn't because I've read similar theories which are out there, and I think that some here believe it in some form or another. This is not my dogma, but I can't refute it in my mind either. The real message may not have been as literal as I will lay it out.

It was simply this; that we are in hell. We chose to come here to help the others out.

The reason, IMO, that this does not ring true to everyone here is because we are all powerful and spiritual beings. We can find total solace within our own inner realms, and so it is only logical that many do so (or try). This is what I would take to be enlightenment. I think some here have reached it. However, I don't think it is the primary goal here so much as a respite that is open to us (though difficult to attain).

The point is, I think, that any one of us, upon reaching the 'heaven' in this scenario, would choose to plunge back in to the fire and flames if we knew there was a chance to help those left behind. Not saving them, but assisting in their salvation. Our goal is then to be the catalysts to their change, that will break them from the static vibrational state that this place induces.

Again, I think I would normally sit on this, but I had an unusually strong urge to share this time. Thanks for reading, if you did, and please share any of the miscellaneous musings you have or "synchronicities" that you have experienced yourself.

All the best

Whenever there is a calling, help will come. Mother Earth cried out and many came.

Synchronicities? Not a day passes by without them. Numbers, a lot of numbers.

-show me a man who lives alone and has a perpetually clean kitchen, and 9 times out of 10 i'll show you a man with detestable spiritual qualities.

-if you want to know who your friends are, get yourself a jail sentence.

-an intellectual is a man who says a simple thing in a difficult way; an artist is a man who says a difficult thing in a simple way.

This is a song by Eric Johnson from his album "Venus Isle". That album in particular has a very spiritual vibe, despite not being altogether "New Age-y" is its sound. This may not be everyone's cup of tea, but the lyrics to this one in particular are wonderful.

Everywhere are hearts and empty hands,
With no one there to understand,
Future dreams, you're searching for a clue,
That sun don't shine, you'd never mind.

Don't get too discouraged in this life,
It's just a game, for now we play.
And sooner or later things can work out right
This you must know, just wait and see

And after everything is said and done,
This can be another battle we have won.

All across the view, hills of desires,
The Knights, the Kings, the Queens, The Squires.
The serenading dreams, bound tears of hope,
They start to fall, keep standing tall.

So, don't get too discouraged in this life,
It's just a stage, we act upon.
Soon or later things, they work out right,
The sun will shine, the night will dawn.

And after everything is said and done,
This can be another battle we have won.

So don't get too discouraged in this life,
Our thoughts can breathe, sonnets of love.
Soon the winds of change will make it right,
This you must know, just wait and see.

And after everything is said and done,
This can be another battle we have won

In this life,
We'll set the sail, inside, above.
Soon or later things they work out right
This you must know, just wait and see.

Lord, after everything is said and done,
This can be another battle we have won.

"The world is not real. Reality is not stranger than you suppose, it is stranger than you can suppose. Time is not what we think it is. Reality is a hologram. Being is a solid state matrix and psychosis is the redemptive process ne plus ultra. The real truth is splintered and spread throughout time.

The truth - like the self - is splintered up over thousands of miles and years; bits are found here and there, then and now, and must be recollected; bits appear in the Greek naturalists, in Pythagoras, in Plato, Parmenides, in Heraclitus, Neo-Platonism, Zoroastrianism, Gnosticism, Taoism, Mani, orthodox Christianity, Judaism, Brahmanism, Buddhism, Orphism, the other mystery religions. Each religion, philosophy, or philosopher contains one or more bits, but the total system interweaves it into falsity. So each as a total system must be rejected, and none is to be accepted at the expense of all the others..."

In fact very likely the nature of the 'dark force' as 'empty' thought form complexes is an extremely strong parallel to viruses, in that they cannot exist as any sort of meaningful or thriving presence except through their manifestation in human minds. Indeed, it appears clear to me that in order to manifest to a person as any sort of entity or entities, the 'dark force' has to hijack a part of that person's awareness and read from that person's own databases (memories, including also much data not available to the ordinary, conscious mind) in order to create impressions of particular entities or indeed supposed higher beings. So, just like viruses, the 'dark force' gets the person to unawarely do its dirty work, and it controls the person into creating his own tormentors / nemesis.

Most Organic Portals have no inclination to break laws, in fact the majority have no real inclinations at all other than to pursue the influences otherwise known as the social norms, such as money, sex, marriage, fame or any of a host of other ideals that we are all encouraged to strive for from an early age. The attainment of these goals is held up in global society as the culmination of the search for happiness, yet it is evident from the state of our world today that true happiness remains as illusory and elusive as ever at least for those who have an inkling that there is something more.

Taken from Vivek's amazing thead, which is linked to below. I haven't read through the entire thing, as there is a great wealth of information there (between the posts themselves and the references/resources linked to within), and I have been admittedly distracted recently.

I didn't want to post this there, as it has little objective value, and yet, I felt the need to post this. While I was (am) intrigued by much of the material there, some of it has filled me with a powerful, almost overwhelming, sadness. The quotes above touch on, at least in part, the place from which this stems. I consider myself a spiritual person but I don't know anyone (in person) who shares this characteristic with me. I feel like there's something that needs to be worked out or talked through, but am at a loss as to how to do so. Self doubt is one of my greatest enemies, now rearing its head perhaps just as prominently as ever before. I am disheartened, not just because I thought myself past this obstacle, but that it seems to be rooted so deeply in some kind of existential context.

I feel very disempowered right now.

Still, if you have missed this thread, be sure to check it out;

I cant fault your conclusion.
As far as I have been able to fathom, yes, this is hell.

Look around you and if one has any sense of compassion, you must only conclude that this is a "hell".

Can you say that hell is a test?
Can you say that you will never submit to a existence in which you feel degraded or sell your worth to 'have' more?

Its a interesting and novel place, maybe thats why so many wish to come here?
Although even in proving your self denial and want for others here you end up only proving your singular state of self?

Hell, a place of learning of love for others which leads to a love of self?

Nice idea for a thread -- I often get exposed to or come up with good, or new concepts on spirituality. I'm sure I'll be back with some good tidbits ;)

And yes I agree -- "Hell" is a state of being, and we live in it daily. The thing is that we have become calloused to it, and it still hurts incredibly, but we have become used to living in this state and actually believe it is "normal". Make no mistake -- the state the masses live in currently has nothing to do with "normal". I even consider using verbal spoken language to communicate with as a result of this state of hell and the callouses required to withstand it, as not at all natural.

Humans have circuitry and biology that is extremely sensitive to the environment and the earth -- even greater levels than do birds for navigating. The problem is that the sensitivity required to use such "features" is lost to the callousing of our sensitive perceptions, so that we may be able to live reasonable comfortably in the state of "Hell". This is often called - the state of "Denial", for it is the denial of the Truth, and the denial of the Truth causes all pain, all suffering, and callouses us to our natural sensitivities. Humans are supposed to be communicating telepathically, but until we each as individuals address our state of "Hell", we cannot move down that road to being a properly natural human being. I'll try to post some tools to help alleviate this condition a little later.

My 2 cents ;)
