It appears I have the flu.:yuck::sad::bad:
I seldom get flu or colds, because I do a lot of prevention, but this one is a real stinker.
I don't have nausea, runny nose or sore throat, thank the Goddess, but a dry cough and aches and stabbing pains like someone is beating me up or knifing me.
All I want to do is stay in bed, but lying down makes it worse.
I'm no expert, but this seems like a weird symptom.
Is anyone else suffering unusual symptoms with this current viral crud?
Any healing energy sent my way would be much appreciated...
Thanks

Garlic to remove that nasty flu bug. They don't like it, and that's good enough for me. Garlic is a natural immune systme booster and the bodies antibiotic against all the little buggers that make you feel miserable. Isn't it time they got a dose of their own nastiness?
Chase the garlic with a teaspoon of honey, and the energy will help you through.
Get well, they put a really nasty one out that has killed 18 children just to sell that tainted outsourced boubonic infested "flu shot."
Shareholders want a payout every winter, and the ptw don't mind pleasing their masters.

I've been taking garlic every day, as usual, along with fresh aloe vera gel, pro-bs, and a bunch of other supplements, plus herbal tea, propollis, and so on, but this sucker got its hooks into me anyway...
Hopefully it will run its course quickly, but it's not making me feel anymore well disposed towards TPTB, who, I agree, most likely unleashed this on us deliberately... :pout:

Did you have the stabbing pains too?
I probably have this symptom worse than most because I have fibromyalgia, but this virus is making the usual aches and pains a whole lot worse, and I've never had stabbing pain like this before.

I had this illness several months ago. What had helped me was nutrition. Echinecea Tea. Garlic. Raw Honey. Chlorella and Spirullina. Good water. I drank alot of Fiji water. Gargling with Baking Soda helped tremendously. Swallow some after gargling. Dont spit it all out. Baking Soda has PH in it. PH is good for your body which is made of water. I also used a herbal syrup known as bronchial wellness. You can purchase this at www.gaiaherbs.com. This syrup was advised by my Health Food Store. It helped me extremely. Feel better this thing is a bitch. Creeping Crud is a great label.

This is the second time I've appealed to Avalonians for support in an illness, though the first time it was on my kitty's behalf.
It's very healing to get all your feedback, suggestions, healing energy and prayers.
Thanks so much.
It's not a good time to be feeling isolated, when you're sick, as if feeling like crap wasn't bad enough.
This online community can indeed be very powerful.
A couple of brave friends are going to come by tomorrow and bring me some Oscillium and soup, which I know will also help a lot.
And it's supposed to be sunny and in the 60s, so that will be a nice change from the cold and overcast days we've been having here.
If anyone else is suffering with this virus now, I wish you a speedy recovery!

Hello, onawah! Do try to get out and get some sun on your face. And be grateful for friends bearing soup!
I have had this bugger for 2 weeks now, don't know when I've been so miserable. No sore throat, no nausea, but the pains have been horrid. That cough thing, it gets pretty violent and I believe it actually tore muscles from my ribs. I have my chest wrapped with a big ace bandage so I am able to lay on my back and right side, but there is no way I can lay on my left. It feels like there's an ice pick in my chest.
When this thing first hit me, I spent 4 days in bed in a feverish delirium. Had some interesting hallucinations. I live alone out in the wilderness so I'm pretty much on my own with this this thing. The worst thing for me has been how weak and tired I have been. I have been sleeping 16 hours a day. My cat thinks this is pretty cool. Human has finally come around to doing cat lifestyle.
Happily, I do have friends who will make the trek out to my shack and I've had my driveway shoveled and gifts of soup, so I guess I'll survive. Wasn't entirely sure there for awhile. Hope you, me, and others feel better soon and I join you in a big mid-finger salute to whomever released this scourge on the world.
Feel free to pm me if would want to piss and moan and talk about 'symptoms.' I've seen it all.... ;)

Hey, Hermite, I will definitely try to get some sun today--I sure hate to be cooped up inside for days on end.
But I have been thanking my lucky stars for my"friends in need".
Pissing and moaning is an important part of the cure, so I am happy to do it right here with you, as others may benefit as well.
It was so scary when I first started having these weird stabbing symptoms--I thought I was undergoing a psychic attack.
If folks are pre-warned, then it might not be so scary for them.
And yes, I happily join you in a big mid-finger salute to the source of this thing.
If you've had it for 2 weeks, you are definitely a "survivor".
My cough is getting more scary than the stabbing pains now, as it's beginning to feel compulsive rather than controllable, and every time I cough, it feels like my chest is going to crack open, or I'm going to have a heart attack.
"Ice pick" is a description that has come to my mind frequently too.
My kitty has been giving me paws-on healings, and she's happy to hang out in bed with me, though sleeping hasn't been that easy, even with her help.
I can get in a few hours at a time if I take a pill, which I am loathe to do, but better that than no sleep....
In my 60s now, I really understand why old ladies like to have numerous cats around.
They are such great companions for stay-at-homes, especially when one is feeling low.
If I could afford it, I'd have a bunch!
Sending you some virtual soup and flowers :hippie: and hot tea :tea:and lots of best wishes for a speedy recovery.
The one good thing about it is we will probably feel like we have a new lease on life when we're finally well again!

So much good info already posted. We always use Oil of Oregano, Olive Leaf Extract, HerbPharm Virattack, and ..........drum roll.......MMS. Again I must swear by the MMS. My circle of friends and family use it extensivley at the onset of symptoms. Always knocks it out or at least greatly diminishes the aches and pains.
Also, a huge advantage can be found in huge amounts of vitamin A, D, and C. Up to 100,000 units of vitamin A are required and safe. That much D as well. And all the C you can gobble without digestive upset, many grams.
Thoughts and prayers for your quick recovery.

Thanks Conk.
A friend of mine swears by zinc lozenges at the first sign of a virus, and she hasn't had one in 8 years, a pretty good record.
I'm taking zinc, but not the lozenges, and I'm going to take more A, D and C today.
I haven't tried the new MMS formula, but I did a bottle of the old one and it was definitely detoxifying, but harsh.
I hear the new formula is not so harsh.
I'm wondering if this is really flu, or some kind of chemtrail crud.
I heard that in my town, 2/3 of the people who have gone to the hospital didn't have flu, but some unspecified "something else"
If it's fungus, which the chemtrails seem to be packing a lot, I'm taking anti-fungals too.

Hi Onawah, Just like Hermite also, I too have had and am still ridding myself of that nasty bug!!! I been doing so much preventative measures over the last few years, that I was fine up until about 10 days ago when this thing unleashed its fury on me.
Yes the aches and stabbing sharp pains throughout the entire rib cage in my case and lower back etc.....was BRUTAL!!! Just to turn over while sleeping was a veryyy slow process. I was not impressed!! I been going through the D,s , ester C's and daily high dose multivitamins here.....and as well have been taking a teasoon full of organic honey with organic
cinnamon mixed in it twice daily. And lastly....I have NEVER SWEAT that much ever before with a cold that I can recall. SWEAT??!!! WOW..it was crazy! And tightness in the chest with coughing as well. This began last Friday morning, and the symptoms lasted till at least Wednesday. Today I am feeling pretty much back to normal...though I still have a slight cough every so often. I am still wondering about the sharp stabbing pains for symptoms...makes me wonder cause I never had that type of symptom before with a cold.
I feel for ya...as I would not wish this on ANYONE whatsoever. Prayers to you for a quick healing to occur!
Better days ahead!

Thanks for that verification, Ontarioguy.
I've been asking on a local forum if anyone else who's had this had the stabbing pains, ice pick to the chest feeling, and apparently, these are common symptom of this virus, but like you, I've never experienced anything quite like it before except once when I threw my back out and had to lie flat on the floor for about 3 days.
Ribcage and lower back pain for me too, and sometimes felt like how I would imagine angina feels.
Freaky!
Anyway, I'm glad it wasn't a psychic attack--this flu is bad enough, so I really appreciate the feedback validating that.
I really feel for the people who have not been practicing any prevention!
I'm glad you are better now.
There is life after this flu!
Thanks again!
Casper, I'm doing lots of garlic, but chili pepper gives me acid reflux, and that other thing looks alcoholic, which wouldn't be a good idea since I'm taking some pain medication. Thanks.

Essential Oils. I use Young Living Oils.
Here's a remedy I use:
4 drops of Oregano essential oil (neat - straight from the bottle)
4 drops of Thieves essential oil (neat) Note: generally this oil needs to be diluted.
3 drops of lemon essential oil (neat )
Place the drops into a gelatin or vegetable capsule. Drop by drop. Slowly. Close capsule and ingest. Use 2-3 times a day as needed.
Here's a link to a thread I started: Mary Magdalene: Essential Oils and Healing. Inspired, in part, by this thread. :)

Hi Onawah, I'm sorry you are ill. All the suggestions here are good ones. Here are some more for you.
Prevention-Support from Your Thyroid
In general, be sure you have iodine in your diet so that your immunity is strong. All your blood circulates through the body's thyroid gland, and the thyroid uses the iodine to clear the blood of pathogens. This would have been preventative. There are some great threads on iodine here at avalon.
2-3 day cure- Prevent All Viruses from Attaching to your Cells
Get some HFI (concentrated freeze dried humic/fulvic acid). I purchase it from a company called Enzacta. This ties up the receptor sited on the blood cells that viruses use to connect and spread. Without a way to connect to the cells the viruses die out within just 2-3 days. If you decide to go this route then taking 3 capsules 3-4 times daily should do it. This is so effective that even a shingles outbreak can be totally stopped within 48 hours. It works on ALL kinds of viruses and has no negative effects on the rest of your body systems or the beneficial microflora in your body.
1 Hour Cure! Wake up Your Lymph System
If you are already ill (as in your case) then a large part of why you feel so awful is that your lymph system has become blocked up and overloaded. There is a cure for this, but it takes dogged determination on your part. In order to unblock this system within 1 hour you will need a rebounder. You hop (or drag your aching body) onto the rebounder and begin bouncing. You will need to bounce for 25 minutes, while breathing deeply and vigorously stroking your abdomen. The stroking is done rather firmly from the center of your abdomen around the navel, then pulling outwards to the sides of the rib cage. You can stroke in time with your breathing. Although this feels like 'murder' when you begin, you should be symptom free at the end of 25 minutes.
So... there you have it... how to keep from getting ill. How to stop feeling ill almost immediately.
Preventing Nearly All Disease
I'd also like to add that if you had been doing radiation hormesis you also could have escaped being ill in the first place, as this is reported to eliminate almost all illness from a person's life.

Good morning, fellow fluvians! Hope everyone is feeling better today. I sure am. Here is something I did last night and maybe it will help you, too. I was thinking how the chest pain is worse lying down, making sleep difficult. I don't have a couch or a comfy chair, but I pulled out all the cushions I could find and piled them at the head of my bed. So then, I was basically sitting up when I went to bed. Little bugger started stabbing at me but I just sat there and observed it for a few minutes and, swear to god, I felt it start to move toward the center of my chest. (It's ALIVE! ) And then it went away and I fell asleep and woke up 6 hours later and i cannot tell you how happy and surprised I was to have slept peacefully for that long. And now I feel SO much better. Truly, once this thing stops, the relief, gratitude and joy are phenomenal. I just want to go out hug everyone. Except I'm probably still a little bit contagious so I'll keep it to myself.
Sunshine and warm hugs to all.

"Casper, I'm doing lots of garlic, but chili pepper gives me acid reflux, and that other thing looks alcoholic, which wouldn't be a good idea since I'm taking some pain medication. Thanks."
I'm not using all of that myself because gives me acid reflux too but people who eat that and drink "rakiju sljivovicu" regularly every morning never been sick in there whole life.

I am feeling much better today, though I am still coughing, and I have a sore head which feels kind of like a "dry socket" after you've had a tooth pulled, but I suspect that may be a side effect of taking so many pain pills.
I took about a cup of fresh aloe vera gel blended with water last night (in addition to the the pound of so of fresh aloe I take every AM) before bed to counteract that, and it worked well.
I am sleeping fairly well now, though last night I kept waking myself up with the funny wheezing sounds I was making in my nose, which at first I thought was my kitty talking to me.
I hope kitties aren't susceptible to this virus, since mine has been sleeping up next to my head, as usual.
So far, she seems fine.
She's been giving me some great paws-on healings.
"Rkiju sljivovicu" looks interesting, but I think I'll pass, since it is indeed alcoholic.
The advice about fulvic acid looks really interesting, and I want to look into that more.
I can't do rebounders since I have some problems still from a near fatal accident resulting in a crushed left acetabulum, including other broken bones, though that sounds great too for those with sounder bodies.
I've been taking Atomodine iodine supplement every day, 2 drops, for quite some time, though perhaps I need to take more.
As for radiation hormesis, I think I would need to see positive results from many more long term studies before I would consider trying that.
Ulli, I will try asking the village for help next time, too.
I don't usually post there, since when I have, my posts just seemed to get lost in the shuffle.
In any case, I think I don't have much longer to wait before I'm back to normal.
But I'm going to be really careful for awhile about exposing myself to whatever else may be going around, since my immune system has taken a beating.
I think I may even start wearing a mask out in public until the flu season is over.
Thanks again, Avalonians, for all your support.

Latest Report on Flu Fatalities: A Shocking Fabrication
Alliance for Natural Health
http://www.anh-usa.org/latest-report-on-flu-fatalities-a-shocking-fabrication/
More scare tactics? Apparently so... I hope this doesn't get buried. I think the ANH should make an effort to see that it doesn't just disappear, but no doubt Natural News will get hold of it, and that will start the ball rolling.
On a personal note:
Some sinus issues today, but that's taking the pressure off the coughing, which is good. Still coughing, but it sounds worse than it feels I think a couple more days of rest and I'll be good to go again.
Latest Report on Flu Fatalities: A Shocking Fabrication
August 31, 2010
We have been telling you recently about phony data from the government. Here is another egregious example—and no one in the major media seems to know or care.
For years, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has been citing an annual estimate of 36,000 deaths from flu. That figure has been used to justify mandatory flu vaccination for children and has been parroted the world over by news organizations that never question its validity. Last week the CDC released new figures: rather than 36,000, the three-decade average is actually 23,607 deaths, a full one-third fewer people than previously cited.
But even these new figures are actually fabricated and false. The CDC has always used a mathematical estimate based on an assumption that if a death certificate had “respiratory or circulatory disease” listed as a cause of death, then it should be counted as a “flu-related” death! The Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons has been highly critical of the CDC’s methodology.
A closer examination of the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) figures shows that in 2001, there were only 257 deaths directly attributable to flu, and in only eighteen cases was the flu virus positively identified. Between 1979 and 2002, NCHS data show an average of 1,348 actual flu deaths per year—a mere 5.7% of the “new and improved” estimate.
The article, published in the British Medical Journal, concludes that “If flu is in fact not a major cause of death, [the government’s] public relations approach is surely exaggerated. Moreover, by arbitrarily linking flu with pneumonia and other lung diseases, current data are statistically biased. Until corrected and until unbiased statistics are developed, the chances for sound discussion and public health policy are limited.”
We were told in recent years that there would be so many cases of bird flu that it would stun the world. Those concerns were totally unfounded. Then there was the swine flu panic last year, with the government overbuying the H1N1 vaccine—71 million doses—to the tune of $260 million and promoting it without proper tests. Where is all that valuable medicine now? In the garbage. But the CDC goes on releasing bogus data to amp up the hysteria—an act that would have any private company or individual hauled in for fraud.
The real problem here is that our government has become a full partner with drug companies in the vaccine business. This has led to a crony capitalist environment in which the government can no longer be trusted to tell the truth.
Meanwhile, not a word from the media discussing the real influenza preventative: vitamin D.
