I hope I don't get beat up too bad for putting this on here but this IS about the most honest 3 min. about the way our country is today I've heard in a long time, maybe ever.

It really hit home for me to know this is the truth, some of you might not think so, but for me it is.

This had to come from a movie about candidates speaking to some college students. The guy speaking is an actor I've seen before.

At lest I edited out the ugly words.

Elections in the USA are not what you think they are.

The actor is Jeff Daniels and the clip is from "The Newsroom", a show on HBO.

It is excellent, in my opinion, in its depiction of the news "biz". They use actual current events and clips of real people speaking about "real" issues. Though the central characters working on the news are fictional. There are personal storylines between the characters which are less engaging, but I highly recommend this program (especially if you enjoyed that clip).

The show has appeared in Australia (a country with freedom) on TV. The show had this amazing speech at the start and I watched some of it as a result, but it did not live up to its promise, losing its way in lots of shouty arguing, instead of reasoned debate . It was called something like 'The Newsroom". But what a speech--- and it is possible reflect that there is something to admire in a country that allows such comment to be broadcast without penalty.

All is not yet lost!

Bumping this post. Sounds like this is getting to the crux of the legal/corporate problem (bamboozle) that is still the current state of affairs of the USA, Inc. and USA.

We really need to negate this corporation, dissolve it, banish it.

I say this task is impossible until ordinary US citizens are in control of the defacto government, the whole thing, especially the legislature (Congress.) This can only be changed from the inside, and the current (corporate-controlled) insiders (and the next corporate shills lined up to be "elected") will never, ever touch this with a 10 lightyear pole. If sovereignty activists recommend that the most powerful move we can make is to regain our personal sovereignty, what is to stop the police-state defacto government from just imprisoning us anyway? They make up a new law, an "Act", and say anyone declaring personal sovereignty is a terrorist. Actually, with the NDAA, they don't even need a new law.

Thanks, Vitalux! Gripreaper? Thoughts?

Dennis

This is Billy Foust. My first thought is to honor Billy as he was "silenced" on fathers day, uh two years ago? I wept for two days when they did that. RIP Billy. You are an awesome soul and an incredible teacher.

I recommend his video's. You will understand why he was murdered.

Well SkyWizard, it's all true, no doubt about that.

The only problem I have with it, is that Daniels never says exactly whose fault it all is. And we all know on this forum exactly who is to blame. If all Americans woke up to that fact, the true history of this country, we could be rid of them. Instead, they put themselves in the White House, and in every position of power. While Americans think they "elected" them.

That is what I would have loved to see Daniels say... but of course, such a thing would never see the light of day on anything mainstream.

There is no really free country ... in the world. We are all debt slaves and our leaders are there to work for someone else and not the people that voted for them. If you think otherwise then you are really free. WHY? Ignorance is a bliss ... that kind of people are really free.
