SABOTAGE! KEY IRANIAN NUCLEAR FACILITY HIT? (http://www.wnd.com/2013/01/sabotage-key-iranian-nuclear-facility-hit/)

An explosion deep within Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility has destroyed much of the installation and trapped about 240 personnel deep underground, according to a former intelligence officer of the Islamic regime.
The previously secret nuclear site has become a center for Iran’s nuclear activity because of the 2,700 centrifuges enriching uranium to the 20-percent level. A further enrichment to weapons grade would take only weeks, experts say.
The level of enrichment has been a major concern to Israeli officials, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu repeatedly has warned about the 20-percent enriched stockpile.
The explosion occurred Monday, the day before Israeli elections weakened Netanyahu’s political control.
Iran, to avoid alarm, had converted part of the stockpile to fuel plates for use in the Tehran Research Reactor. However, days after the recent failed talks with the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iranian officials announced the enrichment process will not stop even “for a moment.”
The regime’s uranium enrichment process takes place at two known sites: the Natanz facility with more than 10,000 centrifuges and Fordow with more than 2,700. The regime currently has enough low-grade (3.5 percent) uranium stockpiled for six nuclear bombs if further enriched.
Get the inside story in Reza Kahlili’s “A Time To Betray” and learn how the Islamic regime “bought the bomb” in “Atomic Iran.
However, more time is needed for conversion of the low-grade uranium than what would be needed for a stockpile at 20 percent. It takes 225 kilograms of enriched uranium at the 20-percent level to further enrich to the 90-percent level for one nuclear bomb.
According to a source in the security forces protecting Fordow, an explosion on Monday at 11:30 a.m. Tehran time rocked the site, which is buried deep under a mountain and immune not only to airstrikes but to most bunker-buster bombs. The report of the blast came via Hamidreza Zakeri, formerly with the Islamic regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and National Security,
The blast shook facilities within a radius of three miles. Security forces have enforced a no-traffic radius of 15 miles, and the Tehran-Qom highway was shut down for several hours after the blast, the source said. As of Wednesday afternoon, rescue workers had failed to reach the trapped personnel.
The site, about 300 feet under a mountain, had two elevators which now are out of commission. One elevator descended about 240 feet and was used to reach centrifuge chambers. The other went to the bottom to carry heavy equipment and transfer yellow cake. One emergency staircase reaches the bottom of the site and another one was not complete. The source said the emergency exit southwest of the site is unreachable.
The regime believes the blast was sabotage and the explosives could have reached the area disguised as equipment or in the yellow cake stock transferred to the site, the source said. The explosion occurred at the third centrifuge chambers, with the high-grade enriched uranium reserves below them.
The information was passed on to U.S. officials but has not been verified or denied by the regime or other sources within the regime.
Though the news of the explosion has not been independently verified, other sources previously have provided WND with information on plans for covert operations against Iran’s nuclear facilities as an option before going to war. The hope is to avoid a larger-scale conflict. Israel, the U.S. and other allies already have concluded the Islamic regime has crossed its red line in its quest for nuclear weapons, other sources have said.
However, this information was not revealed for security reasons until several days ago when sources said the regime’s intelligence agency, through an alleged spy in the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, had learned of the decision to conduct sabotage on Iran’s nuclear sites on a much larger scale than before.
As reported, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called an urgent meeting Tuesday with the intelligence minister, the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization and other officials to discuss the threat, and now it’s clear the meeting included the sabotage at Fordow.
Several Iranian nuclear scientists have been assassinated in recent years. Last year, saboteurs struck the power supply to the Fordow facility, temporarily disrupting production. And a computer worm called Stuxnet, believed to have originated in the U.S., set Iran’s plans for nuclear weapons back substantially.
The 5+1 (the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany) hope to resume talks with Iran over its illicit nuclear program. The talks ended last year after regime officials refused to negotiate.
Sources in the Islamic regime previously have revealed exclusively to WND the existence of:
A secret nuclear site in Najaf Abad.
A list of Iranian scientists working on a nuclear bomb.
A secret uranium enrichment site in Khondab, where the Russians and North Korean scientists are helping with Iran’s nuclear bomb program.
The secret bio-weapons site in Marzanabad, where, with the help of Russia, Iran has mastered production of eight microbial agents, arming its missiles with biological warheads.
Another nuclear site at Bonab, where, with the help of Russians, uranium enrichment is taking place using laser technology.

That section alone has the stink of cabal fear-mongering propaganda - suddenly bio-warfare has entered the equation.

Scratch that last comment, just received word from inside Iran 100% true and terrible...
the 240 were some of the top research engineers, major blow to Iran, all are trapped in the radiation and dying a horrible death...
the Chimp on a Chain has contacted Egypt and is moving forward with Nuke talks, with the amount of radiation released, it might stay sealed...
they are afraid it is going to leak into the water system, public is going berserk, opponents are saying act of God, demanding the Grand Ayasollah be removed from power...

City name Fordo next to QOM Iran
100% confirmed, city being evacuated, could be the new Chernobyl
welcome to Nuclear energy Iran...
Last inspectors through the facility saw bolts that had fallen off centrifuges just laying on the floor underneath, equipment malfunction, it didn't take sabotage...
if Israel knew, it would have been used for the election by pumping it out in the news...
I guess if we asked the Insurance companies, they'd be calling it an act of God...

Many people will suspect that this has been blown up by the West. But why would they make this move, when they usually come up with flase-flags to have a pretext to invade? Or will they say, "see, the Iranian nuclear program is not safe"? Or something completly else...

This report is hard to understand: in no way do I dispute Rocky Shorz's personal sources (please share what you can, btw) -- but it's hard to see why (if this was a western strike on the plant) the Iranians would not have hyped this to the news agencies, or the west/Israel would not have escalated this to a war footing -- assuming this is their agenda.
On the other hand, if it was a genuine accident, it's equally hard to understand why this was not reported. The Iranians would surely have announced it... simply to prevent war based on an attack on a facility that had already been destroyed.

My little post was meant to be in fun:

I had just read through the thread then saw the USGS post come out here on the forum.
Correct me if I am wrong ... but the tone of the thread by that point was dismissing the event since there was no clear confirmation. So I was just having some fun with it.
While I would not put it past the "PTB" to be able to alter time stamps or insert a false earthquake report ... certainly by location this was entirely unrelated.
If my post was taken seriously or caused any confusion I certainly do apologize for that.

More on why this is hard to understand:
http://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsContent/2/8/63196/World/Region/Iran-diplomat-warns-of-strait-closure-if-US-choose.aspx
Iran diplomat threatens strait closure if US chooses 'war'
AFP, Thursday 24 Jan 2013
Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad Hassan Danaie-Far says Tehran retains right to use Strait of Hormuz as bargaining chip with world powers
The United States has nothing left to pressure Tehran over its nuclear programme except for war, and if it chooses conflict Iran could close a key energy chokepoint, its envoy to Baghdad told AFP on Thursday.
Ambassador Hassan Danaie-Far insisted in an interview that Tehran retained the right to close the Strait of Hormuz, through which a third of the world's traded oil passes, in response to any aggression, military or otherwise.
"What else (US President Barack) Mr. Obama can do?" Danaie-Far said through an Iranian embassy translator.
"The only remaining card on the table is war. Is it to their benefit? Is it to the benefit of the world? Is it to the benefit of the region?"
The diplomat said that if it faced a "problem," Tehran would be within its rights "to react and to defend itself."
Asked if it could try to close off the strait, Danaie-Far replied: "If there is some movement and action from our enemies, including US, against us, as a part of natural reaction, that may happen."
"Everybody would be a loser in that case," he added.
On whether only military or other types of pressure could spur Iran to make such a move, he said: "It can include all of them."
Iran frequently conducts missile tests and manoeuvres to underline its military muscle, and has repeatedly threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz to oil tanker traffic should it be attacked.
Washington has warned Tehran that any attempt to close the strait would be viewed as a "red line" -- grounds for US military action.
Iran regularly denounces the regional presence of foreign forces, including American, particularly those stationed in the Gulf. It says the security of the region must be ensured "by regional countries."
Arab monarchies across the Gulf from Iran are worried by what they see as the territorial ambitions by Islamic republic, which frequently stresses Persia's historic dominance over the waterway.

None of this makes any sense. Could it be that they had another secret store which was found and attacked which may have been closer to the earthquake site?
Also, could the difference in the USGS time stamp be a way to confuse anyone from seeking ways of proof?

well let's look at this from both sides, 1st, if it was an attack on Iran, they would have already started moving to shut down the straights...
on the other side, We have Kissinger pushing for an immediate attack to stop Iran's Nuke Program...
now Iran knows their only strength and "chip" for negotiations is the fear they are succeeding in the Nuclear program, so letting the world know the Centrifuges bought from Halliburton are falling apart... would cripple their bargaining power.
Both sides want war, but don't want to be the bad guys that start it.
source is a friend of the Shah... can't go into much details other than I've known him for many years and has fed me info I've shared with Avalon on Iran many times.
Kissinger "OWNS" the media...
Iran has a boot on the throat of their media...
I do have to admit, unlike the BP disaster, I think it's great Halliburton's equipment is shoddy and fell apart.
Nuke talks with #Egypt were announced almost immediately after the disaster, they no longer trust Turkey after they turned against the Regime and Syria
They want to get it started before any of this info leaks, so I'm happy to share so the world understands they aren't even close to producing the "Bomb"
The inspectors that went through and saw all the bolts that had fallen off the centrifuges were Russian...
sounds like their notes didn't make it back to Iran's authorities...
I don't understand how a Major explosion could be created by faulty centrifuges, it has to be related to stored underground fuel or weapons.
gun powder confiscated and stored in Greece, Exploded from sunshine, would they really be dumb enough to store weapons with their yellow cake?
he said, anything is possible in Iran...

We have Kissinger pushing for an immediate attack to stop Iran's Nuke Program...

January 25, 2013
Globalist kingpin, renowned war criminal and Rockefeller co-conspirator Henry Kissinger is talking up a nuclear conflagration.
Speaking at the one-worlder confab held in Davos, Switzerland, Kissinger said a crisis involving a nuclear Iran in the “foreseeable future” will lead to a nuclear war and “a turning point in human history,” the BBC reports.
“There has emerged in the region, the current and most urgent issue of nuclear proliferation. For 15 years, the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council have declared that a nuclear Iran is unacceptable, but it has been approaching,” Kissinger said.
He then said governments will “come to a determination of how to react, or the consequences of non-reaction… [in] a few years.”
Under the terms of the 1968 Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, Iran has the right to produce nuclear power for peaceful purposes. The United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency has found no evidence Iran is developing a nuclear weapons program and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta told Face the Nation earlier this month that Iran is not currently building a nuclear weapon.
In 2012 American spy agencies agreed with a 2007 intelligence finding that concluded Iran had abandoned its nuclear weapons program. “The officials said that assessment was largely reaffirmed in a 2010 National Intelligence Estimate, and that it remains the consensus view of America’s 16 intelligence agencies,” the New York Times reported.
In 2011 it was reported by the United States Institute of Peace and others that Iran was having problems with its nuclear program. In addition to fending off U.S. and Israeli cyber attacks, persistent sabotage of its nuclear facilities and the assassination of its scientists, Iran is finding it difficult to obtain essential parts on the international market and until recently had issues with its centrifuges.
In January the International Atomic Energy Agency officially confirmed that Iran had started enriching uranium to the 20-percent level. “The IAEA can confirm that Iran has started the production of uranium enriched up to 20 percent using IR-1 centrifuges in the Fordo Fuel Enrichment Plant,” the agency said in a statement,” RIA Novosti reported.
20 percent uranium enrichment is a long way off from more than 90 percent, the amount required to make an atomic weapon.
In November, Kissinger said the U.S. has a “limited time” to negotiate with Iran before military action will be taken against its nuclear program, although he did not address Iran’s inability to produce weapons grade uranium.

Kissinger will go down in history of one of the greatest monsters ever to live after the 350,000 he killed in a South America Commy hunt...
RIP Woodward, we're still trying...
His decisions have brought destruction to all parts of the world, yet, who is this old dinosaur still running the PTB agenda
Will he ever die so this world can find peace?
why is anyone listening after knowing he has been wrong for so many years...
isn't it true he named the WMD in Iraq that must be eliminated?
Isn't he the one who put Saddam into power?
isn't it true he created AlCIAda?
why is the world still being tugged around by the nose from this old goat?

Here's another site reporting Explosion Destroys Key Iran Nuclear Site (tabletmag.com) (http://www.tabletmag.com/scroll/122646/report-explosion-destroys-key-iran-nuclear-site).
I have no prior experience with tabletmag.com, so don't know how reliable this report is.
This report states:
By Adam Chandler|January 25, 2013 3:20 PM
Update: 3:52 PM A few major sites that linked to WND story have removed it. I take that as a pretty good indication that this story cannot be confirmed.
According to World News Daily, a massive explosion is said to have destroyed most of Iran’s nuclear facility at Fordo.
The explosion is said to have taken place on Monday. The nuclear site is a high profile target given that it’s completely underground and recently reached nuclear capacity. Just earlier today, it was reported that the Iran could quadruple enrichment at the Fordo site.
While I am extremely skeptical of this report’s veracity until I hear more, this is potentially a massive development. More to come.

I met with my Iranian friend last night, He doesn't believe such explosion is going to occur with centrifuge malfunction. But on the other hand Iranian alternative thinkers have their own conspiracy theories. He said ( he gave me an impression that as I was talking with an american ) if there is a danger , it is not more than what others doing at CERN.
Old world order lost it's deterrence power and proposed new order(NWO) will not have a chance to obtain it.
my note:I hope this is not limited with, only Iranians.

Explosion in Iran on Saturday, 26 January, 2013 at 05:04 (05:04 AM) UTC.
Description
WARNING! This is information absolute not confirmed!) An explosion deep within Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility has destroyed much of the installation and trapped about 240 personnel deep underground, according to a former intelligence officer of the Islamic regime.
The report of the blast came via Hamidreza Zakeri, formerly with the Islamic regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and National Security, The blast shook facilities within a radius of three miles.
The other went to the bottom to carry heavy equipment and transfer uranium hexafluoride. One emergency staircase reaches the bottom of the site and another one was not complete. The source said the emergency exit southwest of the site is unreachable. The regime believes the blast was sabotage and the explosives could have reached the area disguised as equipment or in the uranium hexafluoride stock transferred to the site, the source said.

U.N. nuclear watchdog backs Iran's denial of Fordow blast
Tue, Jan 29 15:48 PM EST
By Fredrik Dahl
VIENNA (Reuters) - The U.N. atomic watchdog made clear on Tuesday it had seen no sign of any explosion at one of Iran's most sensitive nuclear plants, backing up Tehran's denial of media reports that such an incident had taken place last week.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), in an unusual move, made a brief statement after some Israeli and Western media at the weekend reported there had been significant damage at the underground Fordow uranium enrichment facility.
The site is at the centre of Israeli and Western concerns about Iran's nuclear program as the Islamic state refines uranium there to a fissile concentration that takes it closer to potential atom bomb material. Iran denies any such aim.
IAEA inspectors regularly visit Iranian nuclear sites, including the one at Fordow, and the U.N. agency suggested in its comment thatthey had been at the facility after the reports of an explosion there.
"We understand that Iran has denied that there has been an incident at Fordow. This is consistent with our observations," IAEA spokeswoman Gill Tudor said in an emailed statement in response to a question.
The United States said on Monday it did not believe the reports of an explosion at Fordow, which is buried deep underground to protect it against any enemy attacks.
Iran described the news stories as Western propaganda designed to influence upcoming nuclear negotiations.
Wrangling over dates and location have delayed resumption of talks between global powers and Iran aimed at reaching a diplomatic settlement to the decade-old dispute over Tehran's nuclear program and avert the threat of a Middle East war.
SABOTAGE ALLEGATIONS
In late 2011, the plant at Fordow began producing uranium enriched to 20 percent fissile purity, compared with the 3.5 percent level needed for nuclear energy plants.
This higher level of enrichment represents a significant step towards the fissile concentration that would be needed in any attempt to build atomic bombs.
Iran says its nuclear program is entirely peaceful and aimed at producing electricity. It says it needs 20 percent uranium to fuel a medical research reactor in Tehran.
Several U.N. Security Council resolutions have ordered Iran to suspend all uranium enrichment. The Islamic Republic says it is its "right" under the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty to refine uranium to produce reactor fuel.
Iran has accused Israel and the United States of trying to sabotage its nuclear program through cyber attacks and the assassination of its nuclear scientists. Washington has denied any role in the killings, while Israel has declined to comment.
No government has taken responsibility for the Stuxnet computer virus that destroyed centrifuges at Iran's Natanz uranium enrichment facility in 2010, but it has been widely reported to have been a U.S.-Israeli project.
Israel, believed to be the Middle East's only nuclear-armed state, has hinted at possible military action against Iran if sanctions and diplomacy fail to resolve the nuclear stand-off.

[QUOTE]by Reza Kahlili - WND
Editor’s Note: Breaking update – Although the regime’s rescue team drilled into the site through the entrance of the smaller elevator used by the personnel, no information is available on those trapped inside and the number of casualties or injured.
Further, the International Atomic Energy Agency today, in an unusual move, made a brief statement following media reports over the weekend of significant damage at the underground Fordow uranium enrichment site.
“We understand that Iran has denied that there has been an incident at Fordow. This is consistent with our observations,” IAEA spokeswoman Gill Tudor said in an emailed statement in response to a question.
Though IAEA officials did not make it clear as to what observation was being cited, Reuters, reporting the statement, changed its original story by midday stating that the IAEA suggested in its comment that officials had been at the facility after the reports of an explosion there.
However, no official statement by the IAEA has taken place since officials’ last unsuccessful trip to Tehran weeks ago when they requested to visit the suspected Parchin site. The last time IAEA inspectors were at Fordow was late last year. It also has not been allowed to install cameras at Fordow by the Islamic regime in Iran.
Sixteen North Koreans, including 14 technicians and two top military officers, are among those trapped after a Jan. 21 explosion destroyed much of Iran’s Fordow nuclear site, a source reveals.
The source who provided the initial information on the explosion at one of Iran’s most important nuclear sites has now provided details about the degree of the destruction...
A senior researcher and director of the Centre for Arab & Iranian Studies in London, Ali Reza Nourizadeh, who has many contacts in Iran, confirmed that the explosion had trapped many inside.
According WND’s source, a member of the security forces protecting Fordow, 36 North Korean technicians and military officers arrived in Tehran Jan. 15 and 17 and subsequently visited two Iranian nuclear sites under heavy security. One site, still unknown to the West with its vast installation of centrifuges, will be revealed soon by WND. At the other, the Fordow site, the North Koreans were to witness the start-up of six cascades of 174 new-generation, speedier centrifuges.
Hamidreza Zakeri, a former member of the regime’s Intelligence Ministry, said 17 technicians and two military supervisors are stationed at the secret site, and 14 technicians and two military officers were at Fordow.
The source said a log on closed-circuit cameras installed by the regime to monitor the site’s three centrifuge chambers and two highly enriched uranium reserves gave this account:
On Jan 21, 14 members of the North Korean team and two military officers now stationed at Fordow along with Iranian scientists started the process of feeding uranium gas into the newly set-up cascades at 9:15 a.m. Tehran time
At 10:43 a.m., due to a drop in power pressure, system warning signs went off, but everything went back to normal after two minutes.
At 11:36 a.m., five explosions occurred concurrently in the centrifuge chambers, two explosions in the uranium reserve enclosures and a subsequent explosion in the main hallway close to the exit.
At the time of the explosions, a very bright red and purple light distorted the image and an extremely loud noise could be heard. Before the explosions knocked out the cameras, interior walls could be seen coming down within the centrifuge chambers. All the explosions seemed to have been initiated from the ceilings.
All cameras on the lowest floor (about 300 feet deep under a mountain) and the floor above it (about 250 feet deep) were knocked out, and only two cameras above the installation where security personnel are stationed were working.
Security forces immediately informed their superiors, who ordered them to remain in the monitoring room and avoid further communication with the outside world until counterintelligence forces arrived. Twenty-one personnel were gathered in a conference room to await further instruction.
Security forces were then told to close down all surrounding roads.
Approximately two hours after the explosions, counterintelligence agents arrived and, after interviewing personnel and reviewing tapes, initially concluded that explosives may have been placed in ceiling lamps with some kind of trigger mechanism controlled by a power voltage frequency.
The last images show eight personnel in anti-radiation clothing trying desperately to secure one of the rooms.
The regime believes the technology used with the explosives is unknown to their forces, the source said.
Iranian authorities fear that opening the site from the outside in a rescue mission could possibly release radiation and uranium gas or cause further explosions, which could contaminate thousands of people living nearby, the source said.
As of Monday, the regime had not come up with any concrete rescue plan, though more than 200 people remain trapped, including the North Koreans, he said. He added that an agreement reached last September between North Korea and Iran called for further collaboration on Iran’s nuclear bomb project and the arming of missiles with nuclear warheads.
Another source in the Intelligence Ministry said that in a meeting Monday among top officials, including President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, it was decided that the international community would be kept in the dark about the disaster because any validation would undermine current negotiating with the 5+1 world powers.
An admission would also undermine the regime from within should Iranians react to its illicit nuclear activity and the international sanctions it caused, which are being felt deeply.
The source added that the regime is contemplating showing old images of the interior of the site to buy time until it can accurately estimate the extent of damage and possible loss of lives. Ahmadinejad will hold a parliamentary meeting behind closed doors on the issue Thursday.
Despite severe international pressure and sanctions, Iran had refused to halt the 20-percent uranium enrichment process at Fordow. It takes only weeks to further enrich the stock at the 20-percent level to weaponization grade for a nuclear bomb.

This is reflective of various previous accidents on other sites.
Here's an interesting paper titled 'How the News Media Reported on Three Mile Island and Chernobyl (http://www.penelopeironstone.com/Rubin.pdf)' by Rubin (1987), which indicates that there are many considerations made by officials in filtering what information is revealed (eg level of severity, internal effects, international relations) and by journalists in what information they believe.
Obviously the more severe or wide scale the "incident" the higher the exposure.
The nature of the regime involved also affects how and what information is released.
If an incident has occurred at Furdow then Iranian officials may well view it as an internal affair and treat the release of information as reflecting the regimes control and power within the region.

well Siemens had loaded explosives in a piece that is used in equipment, that Iran found last year, hearing that they had just spun up new ones before the explosion makes me wonder.
the explosion came from above, suspecting something in the lights, could the production gasses have exploded from a shock in the lighting system?
wouldn't that have caused a downward flash like the explosion from above?
would guards cameras in the upper levels still be working if a bunker buster capable of driving down 300 feet were used?
is it just God telling Iran they can't have their Yellow Cake and Eat it too...
Obama wanted this facility shut down to continue nuke talks and lighten the sanctions...
could someone in upper echelon Iran have done it to help stop the sanctions?
did Hilary, really have a plane make an emergency landing in Iran last month?

I really think it is a good thing that the main players involved in the explosion are all denying it, which means this hit at a time they weren't already prepared to move forward.
still leaning towards inside sabotage, makes more sense than all the others...

Soy is magic on the BBQ for pretty much anything :) yes the saltiness is held well.. try marinading it with a mixture of sauces.. you will never go back..
Inside is one of the most likely outcomes i could think of too.. i cannot really find who was in charge of the construction of the site..
What i did find was an article denying any explosion at all.. Dated today.. hmm
http://www.china.org.cn/world/Off_the_Wire/2013-01/28/content_27818480.htm
A commander of the Iranian Armed Forces on Monday denied "a massive explosion" at the Fordow uranium enrichment facility near the Central city of Qom, semi- official Fars news agency reported.
The denial by Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Masoud Jazayeri, came after the Islamic republic has rejected recent media reports that there had been a major explosion at the underground enrichment site.
On Sunday, Deputy Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran ( AEOI), Shamseddin Barbaroudi, said the Western media reports about Fordow's explosion was untrue, stressing that "There has been no explosion in Fordow nuclear facility."
But later in the article it says that it stopped an infiltration of explosive devices in my opinion "hidden amongst every day items"
In August, a senior Iranian lawmaker said Iran's nuclear scientists and experts had managed to thwart enemies' plots to infiltrate and blow up the Fordow uranium enrichment facility.
"The enemies intended to repeat a Chernobyl-like disaster through selling (booby-trapped) equipment and blowing up the centrifuges at the Fordow site, but their plot was discovered and foiled by the Iranian scientists' wisdom and tact," Abbas-Ali Mansouri, member of the Iranian Majlis (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, was quoted as saying by Fars.

Who spread reports of an 'explosion' at Iran's Fordow Nuclear Plant and why?
Anshel Pfeffer
Information Clearing House

According to the report, the explosion in Fordow seriously damaged many of the centrifuges in the plant and trapped underground 240 employees who have yet to be rescued. But if this is true, why have the major news networks dismissed it?
The Internet has been abuzz over the last couple of days with an uncorroborated report regarding a huge explosion in the underground uranium enrichment plant at Fordow in Iran. According to the report, the explosion seriously damaged many of the centrifuges in the plant and trapped underground 240 employees who have yet to be rescued.
If this is true, it will be the most serious sabotage caused yet to the Iranian nuclear program. If this is true.
The main problem with the report is that no supporting evidence has appeared so far from any reliable sources to corroborate it, nor have verifiable statements been released from an official source in Iran or any other country.
Most main Western news organizations with contacts and sources in the intelligence community have steered well away from the story. (In Israel, only the tabloid Yedioth Ahronoth, which splashed the story on the front page of its Sunday edition, took notice of the story.)
By Monday morning, a few respectable media organizations seemed to be taking the news more seriously than when it first emerged, but carried little information or details that could verify the report.
The Times of London reported that an "Israeli official" had acknowledged that there had been an incident at Fordow and that the Israeli government was still investigating the situation. The German daily Die Welt confirmed the report from a "source in the Iranian intelligence service." The U.S. media, meanwhile, quoted an administration source who doubted the credibility of the report, and the deputy chairman of Iran's nuclear energy commission on Sunday night also denied the report.
Perhaps it's the identity of the report's author which leads to the disbelief: Reza Kahlili, an Iranian exile with an interesting past who is well known to many reporters covering intelligence and Iranian affairs. He published the report on the explosion, which apparently took place on Monday, the eve of the Israeli elections, on World News Daily, a veteran website with close contacts to the far-right in the United States. Kahlili himself is a frequent speaker at events organized by right-wing organizations and those that support the right in Israel. It's not hard to realize why. In an interview he gave Haaretz two years ago, upon the publication of his book "A Time To Betray", Kalili set out a worldview on Iran that was surprisingly similar to that of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He also compared the regime in Tehran to that of the Nazis, and called upon Israel to bomb Iran's nuclear installations.
Kahlili's book tells his story as a young Iranian man who studied in the United States and returned to his homeland following the Islamic revolution with the belief that Ayatollah Khomeini was a force for positive change. He joined the Revolutionary Guard, but after a few years lost faith. He volunteered to spy for the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency and for a few years collected information in Iran. In the late 1980s he was taken out of Iran along with his wife and has since lived in the United States.
In recent years, he has made a living writing and giving talks on Iran, claiming to still have an impressive network of sources in various government agencies. To this day, in his public appearances he will not reveal his face, for fear of retribution, and appears with a baseball cap, dark glasses and a surgical mask. (His employment by the CIA has been confirmed by Agency sources and an approving review of his book even appeared on the CIA website.)
Not for nothing have the major news organizations ignored Kahlili's Fordow report. Beyond his questionable credibility, there is no supporting evidence. If a large explosion did occur at Fordow a week ago, why have no satellite photos appeared of dozens of vehicles on the site involved in rescue operations? And if there are 240 workers trapped underground, how come no worried relatives have expressed concern on one of the social networks? Iran may have a repressive regime, but tens of millions of citizens are connected to the Internet and are experts at evading the regime's attempts to monitor and filter their communications. Something would have come out by now.
Even assuming one of the intelligence agencies engaged in the silent war against Iran - the CIA, Mossad, MI6 or any other - was capable of placing a large explosive device in the secure underground facility still under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency, without leaving an incriminating trail, such an operation would have been the closest thing to declaring war. Would the governments of the west have taken such a risk while it they still believe that Iran can be convinced to stop enriching uranium through a combination of sanctions and diplomatic engagement.
In a phone-interview with Haaretz (Kahlili used a voice-distorting device), he insisted that his information was accurate and based on his "several sources in the Revolutionary Guards, government offices and [Supreme Leader] Khamenei's office." He admitted to frustration over the mainstream media's lack of reaction to this report and said: "I have revealed many facts about the regime and its secret work and months later major news networks picked it up."
Among his recent revelations that have not attracted attention are two new enrichment installations that he claims are being operated with Russian cooperation and use laser technology. He volunteered another scoop: following the Fordow explosion, he claims, meetings were held between Revolutionary Guard commanders and Hassan Nasrallah, in which Hezbollah was ordered to evacuate a number of villages in south Lebanon, to prepare for an attack on Israel.
He is totally convinced that in the coming weeks, additional information will emerge and the regime's retaliation will confirm his version.

the problem with an explosion 300 feet underground, in a bunker made to be bomb proof from the surface means the surface didn't change, from Sats or drones, it can't see what is happening below...
1st the same 100+ cars have sat in the parking lot now since the date it was reported...
2nd a friend was talking to a group in QUD the country knows even though it is hushed through the media...
it is their card that can be whipped out for a reaon to attack, even if it was just faulty equipment, there was no bomb that destroyed the facility from above.
that's why Iran isn't already making it headline news, there is no way Israel or the US dropped a bunker buster, there would be a crater...
Luke Skywalker did not drop a shot down the ventilation tube...
now, once they open the facility to release those inside, there will be a detectable leak, that is why they haven't yet.
I would think NK is getting upset with Iran by now, but wait...
didn't the little NK dude just threaten the US since the incident?
why us, we didn't build or operate the facility, they did...
yes having the facility destroyed would end a reason for a Western backed war...
now Iran is turning up the rhetoric about suddenly it is important to help Syria, why? They have no evidence that the "Sabotage" was any more than an accident...
The US war mongers, want to ignore the fact it is destroyed, they need a need to attack...

Israeli 'air strike on convoy on Syria-Lebanon border'
30 January 2013 Last updated at 19:13 GMT
sraeli jets have attacked a convoy on the Syria-Lebanon border, unnamed security sources in the region have told news agencies.
The attack came as Israel voiced fears that Syrian missiles and chemical weapons could fall into the hands of militants such as Lebanon's Hezbollah.
It is not clear what the convoy was carrying, but the latest reports suggest it was attacked inside Syria.
Israel did not comment. Syrian state media said a military site was bombed.
BBC Middle East correspondent Wyre Davies says the reports are impossible to verify, although some well-placed diplomats and military sources say they would not be surprised if Israel had acted, given the recent instability in Syria.
The Lebanese military and internal security forces have not officially confirmed the reports, but say there has been increased activity by Israeli warplanes over the country in the past week, and particularly in recent hours.
Iran threat
One report suggested there were fears in Israel that Syria and Hezbollah would take advantage of the overcast weather conditions to send weaponry across the border.
The Associated Press quoted a US official as saying the strike hit a convoy of lorries carrying Russian-made SA-17 anti-aircraft missiles.
A Lebanese army spokesman denied there had been any attack on Lebanese territory, according to L'Orient Le Jour newspaper. Others said an attack took place near the town of Zabadani in southern Syria.
Correspondents say an attack on the Syrian side would cause a major diplomatic incident, as Iran has said it will treat any Israeli attack on Syria as an attack on itself.
The attack came days after Israel moved its Iron Dome defence system to the north of the country.
Correspondents say Israel fears that Lebanese Shia militant group Hezbollah could obtain anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles, thus strengthening its ability to respond to Israeli air strikes.
Israel has also joined the US in expressing concern that Syria's presumed chemical weapons stockpile could be taken over by militant groups.
Vice Prime Minister Silvan Shalom told Israeli radio on Sunday that any sign that Syria was losing its grip on the weapons could lead to Israeli action, even a pre-emptive strike.
Analysts say Israel believes Syria received a battery of SA-17s from Russia after an alleged Israeli air strike in 2007 that destroyed a Syrian nuclear reactor.
The US government said in 2008 that the reactor was "not intended for peaceful purposes".

I think they did it... or wouldn't be surprised (i.e. Isreali/US) but it will only tighten their security protocols and defenses and provided necessary information on how to build alternative emergency access to the mountain... Now when looked at in this light...
Maybe it's just a test, because pragmatically speaking there are only two realities here. Iran is going to be destroyed like Iraq, or it is going to continue and eventually become a Nuclear Power. (some day) I don't see Iran being destroyed like Iraq. The US is over budget and way behind schedule on its 'World Domination' grab in the Middle East... So I don't think they can't stop them from building the bomb (this time around), because I don't think the US can handle another full scale war, with a country that is more mobilized and prepared then Iraq ever was. They are the one of most independent and stable countries in the middle east... But if you want to build it, you have to prove to us you can protect it... and there is only one way to test that...
I know that is twisted, but we all know what we see in the public MSM is the opposite of reality, so it is always good to attempt some lateral thinking, what may be alternative? Is WWIII still on the map? will any of Clif's predictions happen... and the US dollar bubble is at the end of the exponential curve... so I don't know... I don't know... way too many variables here ...
Another thought... the lack of reporting... may be to protect any potential leads on who dunnit...

heating up quick, now a research facility...
Hi Avalonians,
Zionists and the west aren't very pleased with their terrorists on the ground in Syria and now they have used Israeli jets that bombed a military research center near the capital of Dasmascus, Syria.
This is escalating the mideast conflict to a new level.
Israeli fighter jets targeted a military research center near Damascus early on Wednesday morning, Syrian state news agency SANA said citing army officials.
The Syrian army’s general command has issued a statement, saying an airstrike was launched by the IAF targeting a military research center in Jamraya, rural Damascus.
“Israeli fighter jets violated our air space at dawn today and carried out a direct strike on a scientific research center in charge of raising our level of resistance and self-defense,” the army statement said as cited by SANA.
The strike caused material damage to the center and a nearby building, killing two workers and wounding five others, the statement added.
The Syrian military also rejected reports that the Israeli warplanes targeted a convoy headed from Syria to Lebanon. It called the strike a “blatant act of aggression” against Syria and accused Israel of supporting terrorist activity in the country.

Intel Drop: Israel’s plan for World War enters high gear
Israel’s plan for World War enters high gear
By Gordon Duff and Press TV
“The ‘final straw,’ as it were, has been set in motion in Azerbaijan. Their government, once in agreement with Iran over Caspian oil finds, now is taking direction from Israel. This may well cause the world war that carefully engineered interference in Syria and Mali are only building up to.”
Intelligence reports from across the world are pointing to one face, no longer simply a “mosaic” or “connected dots.”
Israel is using a series of surrogates, the US, Britain, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Al Qaeda, Boko Harum, UNITA, and groups within the US, AIPAC, the ADL, police organizations, all aligned with organized crime, drug and human trafficking and gambling interests in Las Vegas and Macao.
Activities are being traced to Azerbaijan, Syria, Mali, Egypt, Algeria, Yemen, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Niger, Nigeria, Uganda, Southern Sudan, Kenya and especially, the United States. Each region is being subjected to systematic destabilization, political interference, terrorism, arms trafficking and espionage.
A war is being engineered, too many plays have been put in motion, the direction is now absolutely clear and the case can be laid out.
The “final straw,” as it were, has been set in motion in Azerbaijan. Their government, once in agreement with Iran over Caspian oil finds, now is taking direction from Israel. This may well cause the world war that carefully engineered interference in Syria and Mali are only building up to.
Sources in Azerbaijan confirm that Israel has been at the heart of manipulating false stories about Iran’s nuclear program to push through sanctions, sanctions meant to choke off oil and gas development in Iran, something publicly confirmed by Azeri press releases.
British Petroleum and Israeli Partners control Azerbaijan, not just oil, and are planning moves against Iranian fields, seizure, slant drilling, all backed by a scenario identical to the one used to cause the first war against Iraq when President Bush personally advised Saddam to move into Kuwait.
Congressman Ron Paul, in 2011, read the documentary proof into the Congressional Record when the cable cited below was found in a Wikileaks dump, “90BAGHDAD4237 1990-07-25 12:12 2011-01-01 21:09 SECRET Embassy Baghdad.” (see video above)
Iran is to be strangled, looted, threatened by drones, suffer continual terror attacks until it strikes back in defense, at which time Azerbaijan will run screaming to the United Nations claiming “babies are being taken from incubators,” the ploy used to start the genocide against Iraq. The video of this outrageous war crime is below.

http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2013/01/09/282566/syrian-girl-reveals-all/
The truth about Syria is being revealed by activist and blogger ‘Syrian Girl’ (Mimi Al-Laham) who spells out what others fear to think, let alone say. For example, everybody realizes that the Americans are arming al-Qaeda but few know that the Rothschild national banks are behind the attacks on Libya and Syria.
These banks are at the heart of the New World Order run by a global elite intent on controlling the rest of the world by putting it into un-repayable debt. They do it by ensuring that everybody is trapped into borrowing money at high interest. For ever after, the interest is paid, paid and paid again to keep the elite in clover.
As soon as the Gaddafi government had been defeated the globalists put the Libyan national bank back under Rothschild control. It’s also what they are doing to Egypt which has been trapped into accepting USD 4.8 billion, at interest, from the International Monetary Fund. What a mistake by President Morsi! And since when have true Muslims agreed to pay riba? In either case, Libya or Egypt, the New World Order has no intention of allowing an Islamic national bank which would issue its own money at no interest.
Moreover, those who borrow in dollars have to repay in dollars and, when the time comes, the international financiers crash the currency exchanges thereby ensuring that the borrowed money becomes un-repayable. The result is that national assets have to be sold at rock-bottom prices to the financiers.
At present Syria has no debt from the IMF. It only has loans from friends such as Russia. It is therefore becoming a target for American and NATO aggression.
Let nobody make the mistake of thinking that national bank independence does not matter. If a country is free from foreign financial control, it can have an independent foreign policy.
And that is the second big reason, identified by Syrian Girl, as to why the New World Order is determined to attack Syria. In Palestine, Iraq and Libya, Syrian foreign policy has been anti-Zionist, anti-globalist and anti-New World Order. Syria is one of the few countries which do not recognise the self-pitying, aggressive, apartheid entity of Zionist Israel. Syria can have this foreign policy because it has an independent central bank.
So Rothschild control is what the New World Order intends for Syria.
As also is control by Monsanto and the other big international agricultural corporations. Syria has no Genetically Modified Organisms because opposition to GMO is embodied in Syrian law.
When Iraq was invaded in 2003 one of the first things the Americans did was to issue the notorious Bremer Orders. Order 81 insisted that Iraqi farmers could not store their own seeds, developed over hundreds of years. Instead, they must buy Frankenstein seeds which have to be bought annually from Frankenstein corporations like Monsanto. These seeds have terminator genes which ensure that the seeds can only be used for one season.
In India, one small farmer commits suicide every half an hour (usually in the very painful way of drinking herbicide). If a crop fails the small farmers cannot rely on stored seed but must buy Monsanto seed and borrow at interest rates of a minimum of 50 - 60% and often 100% or more.
Food supply is now another way by which the global elite is coming to control other countries. The world is having to get used to the fact that, when the Americans get involved, an iron law prevails Pay Monsanto or Starve.
Syrian Girl points out that natural gas has been discovered off the Syrian coast and that there are plans for a pipeline going from Iran, through Iraq and Syria, to Europe. The New World Order, however, intends otherwise Zionism requires that nothing Iranian can be allowed.
There is then something which, too often, is being forgotten by populations watching international television unique national identity. Syria has its own production; how the international corporations hate that! At one time there was no American Coca-Cola although, regrettably, it has wheedled its way in.
Syria has laudably resisted the entry of foreign companies. The desire to make everybody the same is really a cunning way of preparing people for enslavement by the global elite and one world government. The cry of Free Syria is really the desire to Enslave Syria, and everybody else in due course.
To its great credit Syria has had good relations between communities but all is being destroyed as the New World Order divides on its way to conquer. This is not only NWO policy but Zionist policy which wants to ensure that no Middle East country is strong enough to stand up against Israeli expansionism.

http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2013/02/04/287173/iran-set-to-export-gasoline-despite-bans/
Iran’s Oil Minister Rostam Qasemi says the Islamic Republic will become an exporter of gasoline in less than two months, despite the illegal US-led sanctions against the country.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of a new gasoline-making unit at Abadan Refinery on Friday, Qasemi said the facility had made Iran independent of gasoline imports, adding that the country would turn into an exporter of this important oil product by the next Iranian year (starting March 21.)
The Iranian oil minister further dismissed as ineffective the US-engineered sanctions against the country’s oil sector and said, “The progress made in the country’s oil industry has helped us leave behind … the sanctions.”
The new unit of Abadan Refinery will add two million liters of 94- and 95-octane super-premium gasoline to the daily production capacity of the Abadan facility, Iran’s oldest refinery.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Qasemi noted that the Islamic Republic has also undertaken to optimize several other refineries, including those in Bandar Abbas, Tabriz and Isfahan, saying that all of these projects will come on stream by March 2014 at the latest.
At the beginning of 2012, the United States and the European Union imposed new sanctions on Iran’s oil and financial sectors with the goal of preventing other countries from purchasing Iranian oil and conducting transactions with the Central Bank of Iran. The sanctions came into effect in early summer 2012.
On October 15, 2012, the EU foreign ministers reached an agreement on another round of sanctions against Iran.
The illegal US-engineered sanctions have been imposed based on the unfounded allegations that Iran is pursuing non-civilian objectives in its nuclear energy program.
Iran rejects the allegation, arguing that as a committed signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it has the right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

February 4, 2013 By Joseph P. Farrell
Sometimes I am amazed at how stories in the media seem to contradict themselves, or at least raise significant questions. Let’s consider two of them:

And this one:

Now we assume for the sake of argument that the explosion occurred. The question now is, how, and who did it? One obvious answer – since the explosion allegedly occurred near the entrance of the facility – would be sabotage by some internal dissident group, doubtless sponsored in part by the Israeli Mossad, the American CIA, or any combination of western intelligence services.
And that, of course, throws the Israeli Prime Minister’s remarks into a cocked hat, for any covert operation by Israel or the USA in Iran would almost certainly have been shared with the other nation, and possibly throughout the western alliance system. So why the Israeli prime minister’s “call to arms” when it would appear that someone, at least, is answering that call.
But there’s another possibility altogether: a technological one, or, at least, an alleged technological one: so-called scalar, or quantum potential or vacuum weaponry, depending on whom one reads and the terms they use, but effectively, they’re talking about the same thing. The foremost proponent of this idea has been, of course, Lt. Col. Tom Bearden (US Army, ret.). In various books Bearden years ago argued a fascinating, if not quite convincing, case, that “a friendly little nation”, which one could only take to mean Israel, had access to such technology, and indeed had used it to defend the USA from attack by the USSR by similar weapons!
If Bearden’s statements are true, then these articles would appear to be significant challenges to Bearden’s whole hypothesis, for if true, Israel would simply not need the US’s support, since it possessed such weapons of “plausible deniability” and would not doubt use them to end a potential Iranian nuclear threat. …
….or…
The denials by the USA that the explosion took place at all might herald the fact that the Iranians are lying about it taking place, or that it did take place, but the means by which it occurred have to be concealed, and hence the event has to be denied.
Whatever the truth here may ultimately be – an internal network of dissidents gradually sabotaging Iran’s program, hidden American or Israeli technology – one thing seems clear: there is much more to this story than meets the eye, and that, in fact, in either the case of hidden intelligence assets inside that country, or unknown technologies, or both, the Israeli Prime Minister is is being perhaps a bit disingenuous when he beats the war drums of fear…
See you on the flip side
