Hey folks,
Just found this very cool secret door hack.
I´m sure some of you preppers may find a good use for it. The same techniques can be used to build an internal door leading to a safe room or something like that.
Here´s the video:

Materials used:
- Standard fiberglass exterior door.
- Red cedar (won't rot, but lighter than pressure treated). Three 2x4s, ripped to 3" to form a frame to offset the siding, mounted to the door using 3" lag screws and fender washers (fender washers used to prevent the bolts from tearing through the fiberglass door).
- HardiPlank siding.
- Morning Industry Keypad and Remote Deadbolt. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001JDKBAG/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=hostelzcom-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001JDKBAG)
- Ball Catch (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005C9GIYQ/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=hostelzcom-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B005C9GIYQ) (holds the door shut without needing a turn-able doorknob).
- Richelieu 1-1/2-in x 1-1/2-in Satin Nickel Surface Cabinet Hinge (http://www.lowes.com/pd_173167-93052-BP1062GU_0__?productId=3576254) (two).
- Hose bib (used as as the exterior door handle... no working plumbing connected).
- Interior doorknob is a dummy knob (used for pulling the door open but doesn't actually latch).
Very cool, right? :)
Cheers,
Raf.
