Gross malfeasance on the part of Governments?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9M__yYbsZ4
LFTR is a currently functional ultra efficient energy production method, it could change the world; Fukishima is the proof we need to change. - Target
As I go through the information, there is NO reason NOT to be using this energy
and EVERY reason to be using it... so what is REALLY going on?
Essentially, thorium is 4 times more available then uranium and you can get 200x more power per equal measure. Then that means that Thorium should be 800 TIMES more COST EFFECTIVE then uranium!!!
And it operates in such a way that they DON'T have to pressurize the system 70 to 150 atmospheres like they have to with uranium AND Thorium reactors can be designed to be AUTOMATICALLY FAIL SAFE in the event of a power shut down WITHOUT HUMAN INTERVENTION....
The cheaper and safer construction make the cost saving several factors even higher. So we may be looking at something that is mathematically way more than a 1000's of times MORE COST EFFECTIVE! at a conservative estimate!
If what I just stated is even approx accurate, then this is PROOF POSITIVE that the whole energy sector is specifically being used for the purpose of developing nuclear weapons and the energy is just a side issue... This is another elite agenda exposed!
Every time any speaker talks about WHY they never used Thorium when they had it figured out in the 60's it is ALWAYS described as "this WEIRD and UNEXPLAINED" occurrence. Diplomacy aside, we all know what that means...
The US (Hollywood) space program wasn't about flying 3 men to the moon on on tip of a thousand tons of rocket fuel, it was about building intercontinental ballistic missiles. We are being shown a repeated pattern. The level of sophistication employed when it comes to stealing our wealth and labour. This should be recorded for future reference of an example of evidence and proof of HOW THEY DO IT.
Moon Landing Hoax example:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqH5fVBoMqI
What really happend on the moon
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKainIQiaKA
Dark Side of The Moon - Stanley Kubrick did it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOlc6ARbPas
Because of Fukishima, we now also know that GE is behind the designs, (think Aurora and Sandyhook parents about to testify on Libor Scandal, another GLOBAL RIP OFF of the ENTIRE planet) And behind that you have the Rockefellers AGAIN!! Someone will be able to make a video compilation of all these facts I hope some day.
Even at only 800 TIMES MORE EFFICIENT = $800 energy BILL vs $1 energy bill And he also mentions (among the hundreds of bits of information) that it is 1,000,000 times more energy dense then coal!....
So what are we waiting for? TBTB are poisoning our planet squeezing every last ounce of wealth from every living soul to fire coal burning electric generators and super expensive dangerous and polluting bomb building uranium generators. Until the planet is a mercury laden cesspool of contamination with radiation waste and making us PAY FOR IT!
We are paying the Rockefellers (et al) to build NUCLEAR BOMBS! You're paying an extra 99% percent more on your energy bill then you would have to with Thorium. So that the Rockefellers can profit handsomely selling the government NUCLEAR BOMBS!

I think my connection ate my post,
but the 3-11-11 quake was suspiciously close to the kuril/kermadec islands conflict between japan and russia, and china.
not to mention we USA were perfecting and discussing the prompt global strike tech.
it's a weird world when there is thorium on them there islands, so to speak.
XD
By the way, look at how the Bush family legalized buying park land then bought it all up themselves for the thorium.
not to mention, uranium.

No, I didn't know Tesla, what do you got on Rio Tinto?... I know they are right up there with huge Australian Mining corporations like BHP Billiton? these guys are so big, they are dangerous, for sure I can't (don't want) to believe the Bushes are still pulling off this kind of thing... And what does that tell you? (disgusting) Any more info, when they were doing that?... and your sure the land has been identified as being Thorium rich? whoaaaa... speak o' the devil...

Sorenson really has a great comprehension of the subject... in the years to come he may well become the man to lead this movement.

The beauty of focusing on Thorium is that the MORE you exposed the technology of THORIUM the more you expose the MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX GOVERNMENT CRIME SYNDICATE VACUUMING TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS FOR DIRTY NUCLEAR POWER.
It exposes things and provides the motivation and argument for other crimes, like for example that the US INTENTIONALLY contaminated IRAQ with uranium nuclear waste, not to mention the side effects on their OWN soldiers (which technically they can get away with easier, since they all "consented" (sorry to say)
Another Activist picking up the lead...

We can all learn about the basic arguments for Thorium. The more I think about it the more I see it as THE SOLUTION to mass production of power plants. A real government for the people could pick this up and have it running in a year if they wanted.

Takes him 5 min, but he gets to Thorium and the Chinese... interesting...
Thorium reactors and their feasibility: Thomas Drolet on Cambridge House
jw92UK1RfQY
This guy is full of crap. Big OIL mouth piece... touting the line for 5 minutes and she doesn't even ask one pertinent question regarding his spiel, i.e. we have to stick to Gas and Oil because of "infrastructure"? WTH?
The US can blow 2 trillion in Iraq to kill a million people, to set up an Exxon account, but can't afford to change out of oil because of "infrastructure costs"
What is going to be the cost of shutting down the planet's eco system?
Says that the Chinese have "acquired" the technology and have 1200 PhDs with a 2 Billion annual budget? Talks a "little bit" about the benefits of Thorium (but totally understates it...) So lets see... they are trying to replicate a 40 year old thorium reactor that was run by an Oakridge Professor and some university kids in the 60's ??? WTH!
Not buying this guy at all... But at least he is pointing in a few directions...
confirms there is about 4x as much Thorium as uranium (but left out the 200x more power per capita) but does mention which countries are doing "research"... Belgium, Norway, India and China...
I don't know, this sounds like a "controlled" technology...
Something is not adding up... the cost of building a Thorium Reactor has to be a hundred time less then the cost of the building a uranium reactor, the fuel cost is practically nothing. The maintenance and the waste disposal will be a hundred times less... The technology lends itself to mass production of smaller plants.
Whoever figures this technology out could easily mass produce smaller power plants and build and sell them all over the world, the paperwork would be a snap since there is no plutonium by product for making nuclear bombs...
The only thing I can think of... is Big Oil making death threats on Thorium Reactor Decision makers and potential manufacturers??? Are the governments of the world smoking crack and just completely unaware? This almost lends support to the theory that the "energy crisis" is exactly what Lindsay Williams called it an "energy non-crisis" because the idea that something with this potential is staring everybody on the planet in the face and NOBODY is doing anything (besides China/India) is NOT adding up...
Come on... Japan can't build a Thorium Reactor???
Come onnnnnnn!!!!

I guess it was just a matter of time, Norway has found a way to take a conventional reactor, eliminate uranium, take thorium and mix it with plutonium (all the sh** they are trying to get rid of in Japan and around the world!) and run it as a thorium reactor... AWESOME!!!!
http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/160131-thorium-nuclear-reactor-trial-begins-could-provide-cleaner-safer-almost-waste-free-energy
At a test site in Norway, Thor Energy has successfully created a thorium nuclear reactor — but not in the sense that most people think of when they hear the word thorium. The Norwegians haven’t solved the energy crisis and global warming in one fell swoop — they haven’t created a cold fusion thorium reactor. What they have done, though, which is still very cool, is use thorium instead of uranium in a conventional nuclear reactor. In one fell swoop, thorium fuel, which is safer, less messy to clean up, and not prone to nuclear weapons proliferation, could quench the complaints of nuclear power critics everywhere....

Thorium Power Canada Inc. offers a clean, green, safe and cost effective solution to the growing global energy requirements. - See more at: The TPC Thorium Reactor has been in research & development since 1970. Due to the United States government opting for uranium over thorium as a nuclear fuel (due to the cold war and weapons grade plutonium waste), many Thorium based projects were halted. Since then, the development of the TPC Thorium Reactor has continued and the company now has a construction ready thorium reactor based on a unique proprietary technology that is extremely scalable and offers an energy option at per kW-hr prices in the estimated 4 to 7 cent range, well below many of the common technologies used today. The TPC Thorium reactor can be built on a modular basis as small as 10MW in size with the option to upscale a facility to 100MW by linking the modular reactors together. - See more at: http://www.thoriumpowercanada.com/#sthash.CAR3h6lW.dpuf

Thanks for the info...
I worked out myself after years of pondering the "waste" issue that the US reactor designs are intentionally built that way to make weapons...nuclear power was a way to hide it in plain site, like a moon programme lets you make better missiles.

China starts LFTR Development Project
China has become the first nation to begin a LFTR development project. Hua Bei announced Friday in a new Energy from Thorium Discussion thread that
Five days ago, China just started the TMSR project in the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) annual report conference, which indicates that China has joined the international MSR club officially. Chinese TMSR project is one of the first four launched projects in 2011, as can be called the "Strategic and Leading Project of Science and Technology". Its ultimate target is to investigate and develop a whole new nuclear system ( thorium based molten salt nuclear system) in about 20 years. The website link of related reports are as follow.

Hmm.... This is going to have some effects doesn't it?
The world switching to an energy source that makes the price of electricity go down to a shade of what it is now is going to kill the oil companies in the end if I can see it correctly.
This means the end of the petro dollar and the collapse of the dollar?
Maybe it is too far ahead to be able to still have a dollar at that time eh?

Hello Sigma6 and the Group
there is a good thorium thread which hasn't had much input since September.. on the Forum.
http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?5140-Thorium-would-sensibly-be-the-way-to-go&p=733154&viewfull=1#post733154
we left it (TargeT and myself) with a discussion about starting a new group in the Forum about coming up with decentralized thorium power packs.
decentralized means one doesn't need a couple billion $ and massive controls restricting what virtually amounts to "free" or extremely low cost energy.
there is INDEED sufficient thorium to clean up a lot of old atomic wastes from conventional plutonium reactors.
my feeling is plutonium reactors were pushed because of the atomic weapons potential, the spinoff from energy production is a useful critical mass item; existing uranium concepts lead to getting the potential for "da bomba".. and that lure has been stronger than getting people affordable cheap or virtually free clean energy.
decentralization means no "power grid" can be compromised, nor people being threatened that their "grid will do down"
just some thoughts..

Well I kinda thought that is what this thread was for.. but you may have something there... I think this thread should have been placed under Conspiracy Theory... since my opening thread is condemning the Satanic cult known as the 'Rockefellers/Rothschilds' et al...
I will see if I can get a mod to move this thread over there, and then we can continue this... I think it appropriate that these issues be looked at as having definite and unmistakable conspiratorial elements to such a degree, it just goes without saying. How else does one explain an existing Canadian Co. that says they have the technology, based on 40 years of research but they have only just recently found their first customer in (Nazi influenced) Chile.... ???

Very great points there Sigma6 - we've had cleaner energy for years and years.. Cabals and JP Morgans make their bux hiding this stuff, making things scarce, "unworkable" to keep folks in economic slavery, and the added "benefit" of everyone with a nice "good" uranium enrichment reactor can be part of "da bomba" club.. It's sick.
The thorium batteries could be as safe as double A batteries, or lithium batteries, but give 20 years of life out of the powercell. Simply recycle.. But Nooooo, more hydrocarbons, and more uranium is the mindset, make it big so people become dependent on the "system", never let people have a way to travel freely, wherever they want whenever they want.. Now you can understand better why the British/US/Rockefeller/Rothschild/Satanic/Vatican Banking Cabal wanted to start WWIII... 9/11 was just the 'kick off'... They can see the writing on the wall, They rolled the 'risk' dice and didn't clean up as much of the board as they had hoped... they thought that WWIII was 'in the bag' ... (and I have no doubt they are expending ever huger resources to roll out their next campaign as we speak (in their 'much exposed' backrooms)... I see a huge 'commercial' and technological war taking place... It's a race against time... very similar to the WWII, Hitler was looking for alternative energy sources, and would have got there if the US hadn't drop the Jesuit managed, German designed atomic bomb. It was a war of attrition (Read the "The Last Lion"...) and that alone wasn't enough to stop him.
Now China, and India, who are being 'starved for energy' have waited 50 years for nothing... (re: the Bretton-Woods accord) They could buy the Canadian Reactor but it's probably just as easy and in the long term more cost effective to build their own reactors, after Japan, they have learned once again for the hundredth time they can't trust or rely on the West/NWO/Banking Cabal... for nothing more then bread crumbs (laced with poison more often then not...)
decentralization means no "power grid" can be compromised, nor people being threatened that their "grid will do down"
That's the whole issue right there in a nutshell... and the proof of the Conspiracy... Even if they built the crappiest most inefficient Thorium Reactor, or even the one a University Professor and some grad kids built back in the 60's it would still be 30,40, 50 times more cost effective and productive and safer then what they have now...
Of course the idea that they could be built locally to serve local communities, and create an entire self sustaining industry. Networked power grids alone would add an extra 10 to 20% more efficiency just from not having to direct power over huge distances... It's ALL pluses, always has been. It's just another example of media mindcontrol.
Everyone forgot how vicious and dirty the attack on Pons and Fleishmans Cold Fusion was, same story... All you had to do is look at the (freemason) money that is flowing to the Plutonium War Machine Nuclear Reactor Programs to see the truth... Now they have become more subtle and are controlling the (freemason/bankster) media and the (freemason/bankster) government purse strings thanks to a dumbed down and self absorbed general sheeple class... but it is the same story over and over again...

before nuclear reactors, they were going to build thorium reactors but then they realized it wouldn't make nukes...
I told Iran at the beginning if you are interested in energy create thorium, their deep oil wells have a heavy concentrate of it for power production.
by going thorium it would show they seriously aren't stupid enough to want a bomb...
but wouldn't be much of a WW III if they weren't monsters so the Grande Ayasolla stayed on the Illuminati plans to continue going nuke...
if they really want Uranium so bad, I bet Japan would be happy to ship them a few hundred million rods of waste product they need to get rid of...

I'm gonna leave the whole quote thread in place.. Rocky, hi :) the crowd source would work, I think it could be done worldwide. The JP Morgan issue was that is what crushed Tesla when the last electrical version of decentralized free power was suggested. The thoughts with the thorium were to OPEN SOURCE it when the licensing issue for the tech packages was discussed. The legislative issue is radioactives are legislated and controlled by the powers that be. It would have to take some people's uprising to de-legislate small quantities of harmless thorium.. Right now thoriated WELDING RODS are able to be sold over the counter. So are Gas Mantles, various camera lenses too..
As Sigma6 pointed out, there is Cabal conspiracy going on. Many believe it stems back to the Morgan group, a basic principle that the masses are sheep to be used and consumed by the money changer/lender. The thorium concept is so low cost, it would come under the price range of a lithium battery but last 20 years. AND have so much more energy current output.
What would people with free energy (low cost decentralized, and non-controllable) mean to such systems?
The scarcity of low cost energy, scarcity of commodities is what those groups try to maintain. Conspiracy no question. Solutions, that is the question - if people understand scarcity manipulation, that helps one to understand the mindset why such advances have been with-held for years and years, and will continue to be with-held. Any number of excuses would be made to keep the status-quo unchanged..

USGS Estimates in tonnes (2011) Country Reserves

United States 440,000
Australia 300,000
Brazil 16,000
Canada 100,000
Malaysia 4,500
South Africa 35,000
Other Countries 90,000
World Total 1,913,000
Note: The OECD/NEA report notes that the estimates (that the Australian figures are based on) are subjective, due to the variability in the quality of the data, a lot of which is old and incomplete.[69] Adding to the confusion are subjective claims made by the Australian government (in 2009, through its Geoscience department) that combine the reasonably assured reserves (RAR) estimates with "inferred" data (i.e., subjective guesses). This strange combined figure of RAR and "guessed" reserves yields a figure, published by the Australian government, of 489,000 tonnes,[69] however, using the same criteria for Brazil or India would yield reserve figures of between 600,000 to 1,300,000 tonnes for Brazil and between 300,000 to 600,000 tonnes for India. Irrespective of isolated claims by the Australian government, the most credible third-party and multi-lateral reports, those of the OECD/IAEA and the USGS, consistently report high thorium reserves for India while not doing the same for Australia.

Considering that gram amounts are needed for personal use, that looks like virtually free energy to me.
Open Source, public service and NON-COMMERCIAL should let it happen. Commercial puts it under TPTB - don't commercialize, stay open source. Agreed.
Ed note: The thorium-neutron HEAT reaction generates on the average 6 TIMES more energy out than is put in. That is where the "free" energy comes from, more energy OUT than in, where the total cost of what is OUT is less than the total cost to create the "abundance", ergo, FREE energy.. A Cabal doesn't want people to know those things obviously as such leads to abundance, right?

"For past 3 months Iran quietly essentially halted expansion and seriously slowed down production in nuclear program, unprecedented since '03"
the Cabal plans are collapsing on every front, now North and South Korea are going to merge so there are no longer any "enemies"
the pressure from all of us is making the difference, the more we talk, the more of the sleeping public wake up from stumbling across what we are sharing...
instead of free, have it produce cheap energy for the world and all profit goes to covering public services, fire, schools, police...
use it to produce vertical farms to feed the people, this planet can handle another 43 billion people if we start getting smart down.
China is a disgrace, their pollution is hitting the arctic melting it down, that has to stop, the Romney's and scumlords moving production to almost free employees in China with no pollution controls need to be stopped.
they don't feel it is affecting them so really don't care how bad things get, so we need push them aside and just create what needs to be done. if China is moving to Thorium that is a huge step, but let's use some of that free energy to power cleaning systems for their exhaust stacks to stop global warming to help those in bad areas like Philippines to keep from getting hammered again and again by these monster storms...

From what I have personally seen, unless there is a way to get more than 6X over unity, the conversion losses don't let a 100 years worth of fuel to be safely stored in a vehicle. I can see that for an industrial heating system, but there is maintenance on the vehicle, maintenance on the heat exchanger. 8 grams does not provide that much heat, so being realistic here, I would think staying out of exorbitant statements will keep this in the real world :)
What I have seen that is practical, ONCE a month refueling of a small safe couple gram amount of fuel, in which the canister is recycled at the fueling station. That way all parts that need to be recycled, upgraded are kept current. The engine is basically electrical. The thorium and its ignitor are stored safely with zero emission, zero leakage possible.
I would think for a home system, once a year for fuel, and maintenance is realistic too. Costs would be 1/10 or better and have full clean zero-nano-particle emission.
That Company mentioned may be very very optimistic, but I don't think practical or realistic in the claims of that much power out of that small amount of thorium.

hello. I was looking for a picture of a tunnel of rainbow lights I saw posted on fb once and this link popped up, then I saw your thread when I came back here. I did not read your post, but something is saying post the link here. so here. Have no idea why. http://www.ltbridge.com/leadership/history
edit: I was just informed this may be inappropriate content for this thread. This is my explanation.
sorry if what I typed came out differently than I meant it to. I did go read the OP after posting. I felt I had a synchronistic event because I was searching for a picture of a garden made of rainbow lights and the page that came up had to do with a nuclear reactor facility that had recently been called Thorium and had changed its name to lightbridge. I came back to my home page and the thread about thorium was at the top. I suppose I felt it was like a spirit guide thing that there was something on that page or that site that would assist the OP or a reader of the thread. Perhaps I should have posted more words. I can easily delete it if you think it has no value to the thread however.

Karika, hi - possibly your insight from the synchronistic event means look more at thorium, that is where the rainbow will be when we get away from normal dirty atomics, and when people are allowed to have low cost clean, non-oil/coal/gas based energy.
IF we can move away from any type of shortage based control manipulation of energy, just maybe the prices will stay low. Pure thorium pure power.

"We're building this to power the rest of the world," Stevens said. He believes a thorium turbine about the size of an air conditioning unit could more provide cheap power for whole restaurants, hotels, office buildings, even small towns in areas of the world without electricity. At some point, thorium could power individual homes.
Stevens understands that people may be wary of Thorium because it is radioactive — but any such worry would be unfounded.
"The radiation that we develop off of one of these things can be shielded by a single sheet off of aluminum foil," Stevens said." "You will get more radiation from one of those dental X-rays than this."

GE (the Rockefellers) make ALL their money now by supplying fuel production for dangerous nuclear reactors (like Fukushima) And that entire branch of cost along with so many others would simply disappear. This is such a joke. Time to wake (and put billions of dollars back into the pockets of the taxpayers (since they love their slavery so much...) and tell GE and the Rockefellers to go take a hike...

I consider this a GOOD sign. Why? Well if you know me, this tells me that THORIUM is starting to gain awareness in the main stream public.
Thus that means operatives will be placed in strategic positions to create this propaganda.
Let's all rejoice. A Thorium future could become a reality in the very near future. China and India will probably be the first. Right now the Rockefellers will try to block it until they can corner the market and the patents somehow (not gonna happen!) as they will lose trillions for supplying existing super dangerous government reactors they sold in the first place.

But he could produce it privately... point is the Government is still CREATING ARTIFICIAL BARRIERS to alternative energy solutions, the REALLY PRACTICAL, HERE TODAY technology solutions... The technology under development in Shanghai involves burning the radioactive element thorium in a salty "soup" to, in theory, release heat many times greater than today's reactors.
Other potential advantages of the technology are that China has large thorium reserves, at least the world's third-largest, according to some experts. The process may also produce less radioactive waste. Professor Li, director of the project's molten salt chemistry and engineering technology division, said the smog crisis had provided huge impetus for their research.
Researchers working on the project said they were under unprecedented "war-like" pressure to succeed and some of the technical challenges they faced were difficult, if not impossible to solve in such a short period.
"These projects are beautiful to scientists, but nightmarish to engineers," he said.
note: hmmm... none the less they had a working one at Oak Ridge and the feeling from all the Researchers was that it worked beautifully ... I never get the perception gap between MSM and what the guys who worked on it (now in their 60s, 70s, are clearly telling us...)

Not quite a thorium reactor, but plans for one.... the US (if it weren't a corporate entity dependent on oil) would be smart to get this off the ground and sold to the rest of the world, unfortunately our oil ties make this counter-productive.
Kalapakkam Nuclear Power Plant to be Commissioned Next Year
India's indigeneously built Fast Breeder Reactor at Kalpakkam in Tamil Nadu is likely to be commissioned next year, Parliament was informed today. The 500 MW reactor which is part of the second stage in India's three stage nuclear program is complex technology mastered by India.
Answering a supplementary during Question Hour in Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said a major part of the project has already been completed and it would be commissioned next year.
India is one of the leading countries with well-advanced Thorium utilisation technologies, developed indigenously, and has the world's third largest (around 12 per cent) Thorium reserve.
"For a large growing population of our country, it is important to have a vision of energy independence, implying the necessity for meeting the energy demands using indigenous resources to the maximum extent," Mr Singh said.
"With this perspective, utilisation of very large resources of Thorium available in the country has been envisioned as an important element of the Indian nuclear programme," he said.
The Minister, however, said on account of non-existence of any fissile isotope in naturally occurring Thorium, unlike that existing in Uranium, commercial utilisation of Thorium, on a large scale, can begin only when abundant supply of either Uranium or Plutonium resources are available.
"Therefore, considering meagre domestic uranium resources in the country, it is feasible to start significant commercial level Thorium-based reactor programme in our country only after an adequate inventory of Plutonium becomes available from our fast-breed reactors, comprising the second stage of Indian nuclear power programme," he said.
Mr Singh said since green house gases do not emit in generation of nuclear power, Thorium-based power generation would, therefore, qualify for treatment as a clean source of energy.
Thorium deposits are found in the form of monazite in the sandy beaches of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Odisha and other places.
To a question regarding illegal mining in Thorium-rich areas in the garb of taking out granets, the Minister said steps are being taken including the use of space technology and enhanced monitoring at ports.

Fascinating, and the US goes on and on about how it wants to help out India, don't they have waste uranium they supposedly want to get rid of? I still haven't mastered this subject enough, but I think I heard that waste uranium or plutonium could be used to start the Thorium cycle? Anyhow good on them... literally pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps... amazing uplifting and positive news for a change...
All the countries in the world should be working on Thorium Reactors, so they can be built all over the planet and locally placed where they are needed. One or two reactors for every city.... for every city in the world... and eventually the most efficient cost effective design or designs would eventually be established, and if massed produced it would be as close to as free and practical energy as we could imagine... imagine paying $10-20 bucks a month for all your lighting, heat, hydro... No pollution, no oil spills, no toxic heavy metals in the air and water, no wars in the middle east, no starving people, no more excuses... and everyone could start growing their own food in their own aquaponic greenhouses... the joy of experiencing the reward of your own labour... aahhh what a beautiful world that would be... true freedom... TECHNOLOGY UPDATE: Florescent bulbs are now officially obsolete!
This is unrelated, (but just posting it here before I forget) I recently mapped all all the light bulbs and watt sizes in the house on a spread sheet by room and floor, most were 23w florescent. There is a new technology out there... some kind of modified LED light bulbs! They have a warmer light, lower wattage 11,7,5.5w... They give more light, the bulbs are more durable, and there is no mercury!!! These are [NOT] like those crappy LED flashlight bulbs... they give off "incandescent like light" They were being distributed through a Dollar store franchise with a $5 coupon per bulb promotion which came out to 3.40 per bulb after discount. I started with 7w which looks like a standard bulb, then for the hallways, basement, and porch and multiple socket chandelier found the 5.5 were excellent. I never ended up using the 11w lamp style bulb. No one even noticed the lighting difference! I ended up removing ALL the fluorescent and incandescents with 26 LED light bulbs (I kept going back to get the 5 max coupons per visit!) They give a brighter and warmer light than fluorescent. I replaced 1044 watts with 186 watts over 26 bulbs! according to my spreadsheet for a total cost $90 and $130 off in coupons. I bought an additional $50 testing different bulb combos and for spares. In the end I used fifteen 5.5 Candles, eight 7w standard bulbs, and three 5.5w candle small socket (bathroom and main hall chandelier) This is so amazing you have to check into it!

1st Meltdown-Free Nuclear Power Plant In China 2017

hmm.... we know they are also pouring major research into Thorium Reactors... I wonder if this is a stepping stone technology?
China says it is planning to bring a safe nuclear power plant that will not suffer from meltdowns online in November 2017. It would be the world’s first high-temperature, gas-cooled pebble-bed nuclear plant built on an industrial scale.
China’s Nuclear Engineering Construction Corporation wants to introduce a high temperature, pebble-bed, gas-cooled nuclear reactor, in the Shandong Province, south of the capital, Beijing. The company is planning to bring twin 105-megawatt reactors online that would be immune to meltdown. It is hoped that the power station will start working by November 2017.
The Chinese are using a design developed in Germany, though the nuclear reactor which is being built in Shandong will be the first commercial-scale atomic power plant of its kind to be constructed.
“This technology is going to be on the world market within the next five years,” said Zhang Zuoyi, director of the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology, Technology Review reported. “We are developing these reactors to belong to the world.”

There's two angles on this that come to my mind just off the top...
1) There may be some technological hurdle that hasn't been properly addressed in "Large Scale" Thorium Reactors that needs to be perfected, I remember there was an issue with the caustic nature of liquid thorium.... but the main gist, according to Kirk Sorenson, is that they would be way cheaper to build... since like this reactor, what they both have in common is the high temperature aspect and I am assuming lower pressure as well, although that wasn't mentioned... and it does sort of remind of the Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactor... i.e. there may be some a material science technological issue that needs to solved to build long term stable reactors... (Although one would think, in this day and age, that would be a no brainer...)
The other is: (Something like 1)
2) The basic premise that if the technology is sophisticated enough and the cost is prohibitive enough, then China would gain a technological edge in the market place... as the first in the market of what is essentially a new and unique design, the safetly aspect, if accurate, will guarantee untold billions in guaranteed sales... And... ALL the PTB always want to maintain... "CONTROL OF DISTRIBUTION"...
i.e. Perhaps the technology (on Thorium Reactors) isn't the issue and Sorenson is 100% transparent (as he seems) ...and they did have a perfectly working prototype running in the late 60's after all... and on a relative shoestring budget at that!... In that case, it could be argued that if Thorium Reactor technology was TOO easy, and became TOO commonplace... then EVERYONE would eventually be able to get around the patents and start building their own... and that might be too much freedom.... High technology and High Cost equals the "necessity" of "Government Intervention" and controls entry into the market from competition and keeps the CONTROL OF DISTRIBUTION .... centralized in the hands of Government...
So the question remains... what happened to the LFTR Thorium Reactors? Where do they fit in?
You can very easily use the argument that there is mass corruption in the nuclear waste game. That being said, I do not think this can account for the entire world falling prey to this kind of corruption. I think it possible that the secret space program has it's roots in the 50's, and as such I also think it is possible that our nuclear power plants may act as a spacecraft fuel refining facility.
This fuel may be in use by the secret space program, or it may have value in trade to "other" civilizations.
This article is about the 1950s nuclear propulsion project. For other spaceflight vehicles called Orion, see Orion in space (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orion_(disambiguation)#Space).

An artist's conception of the NASA reference design for the Project Orion spacecraft powered by nuclear propulsion.
Project Orion was a study of a [URL="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spacecraft"]spacecraft (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:NASA-project-orion-artist.jpg) intended to be directly propelled by a series of explosions of atomic bombs (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_weapon) behind the craft (nuclear pulse propulsion (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_pulse_propulsion)). Early versions of this vehicle were proposed to take off from the ground with significant associated nuclear fallout (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_fallout); later versions were presented for use only in space.
The idea of rocket propulsion by combustion of explosive substance was first proposed by Russian explosives expert Nikolai Kibalchich (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikolai_Kibalchich) in 1881, and in 1891 similar ideas were developed independently by German engineer Hermann Ganswindt (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermann_Ganswindt). General proposals of nuclear propulsion were first made by Stanislaw Ulam (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanislaw_Ulam) in 1946, and preliminary calculations were made by F. Reines (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F._Reines) and Ulam in a Los Alamos memorandum dated 1947.[1] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Orion_(nuclear_propulsion)#cite_note-1) The actual project, initiated in 1958, was led by Ted Taylor (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Taylor_(physicist)) at General Atomics (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Atomics) and physicist Freeman Dyson (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freeman_Dyson), who at Taylor's request took a year away from the Institute for Advanced Study (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Institute_for_Advanced_Study) in Princeton (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princeton,_New_Jersey) to work on the project.
The Orion concept offered high thrust and high specific impulse (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Specific_impulse), or propellant efficiency, at the same time. The unprecedented extreme power requirements for doing so would be met by nuclear explosions, of such power relative to the vehicle's mass as to be survived only by using external detonations without attempting to contain them in internal structures. As a qualitative comparison, traditional chemical rockets—such as the Saturn V (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturn_V) that took the Apollo program (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_program) to the Moon—produce high thrust with low specific impulse, whereas electric ion engines (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ion_engine) produce a small amount of thrust very efficiently. Orion would have offered performance greater than the most advanced conventional or nuclear rocket engines then under consideration. Supporters of Project Orion felt that it had potential for cheap interplanetary travel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interplanetary_travel), but it lost political approval over concerns with fallout from its propulsion.[2] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Orion_(nuclear_propulsion)#cite_note-.27.27Cosmos.27.27_by_Carl_Sagan-2)
The Partial Test Ban Treaty (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partial_Test_Ban_Treaty) of 1963 is generally acknowledged to have ended the project. However, from Project Longshot (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Longshot) to Project Daedalus (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Daedalus), Mini-Mag Orion (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mini-Mag_Orion), and other proposals which reach engineering analysis at the level of considering thermal power dissipation, the principle of external nuclear pulse propulsion (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_pulse_propulsion) to maximize survivable power has remained common among serious concepts for interstellar flight without external power beaming and for very high-performance interplanetary flight. Such later proposals have tended to modify the basic principle by envisioning equipment driving detonation of much smaller fission or fusion pellets, although in contrast Project Orion's larger nuclear pulse units (nuclear bombs) were based on less speculative

Could this be any more straight forward? If anything they were being way too modest... This proof of concept design went live on June 1st 1965!... 1965! (a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away from over-hyped, politically motivated marketing "alien planet" we live on today... '; P )
This is really an excellent primer before looking at Kirk Sorenson's stuff... what he based his model on...
I keep hearing and seeing more about this... (maybe cause I keep looking it up on the internet : D ... but it's starting to sound like the US might be involved somewhere in the background with the Chinese efforts at building a pre-fabricated modular design (I'm guessing...) i.e. what else could be taking so long?
Everything's been done and proven, from design to working model, etc... back in 1965 for God's sake!... The only thing left really is for the Chinese to build a modular design amenable to mass factory production... and voila... no more (fake) "energy crisis"...
edit: I guess technically, if you watch it, you can see they were just discussing the idea of the fast breeder near the end of the video... but as they were saying throughout, Thorium as nuclear energy worked almost according to prediction and flawlessly and was 'self balancing' or 'self homeostatic' which was addressed and confirmed in Sorenson's interviews with the original engineers. If anything with the additional applications/innovations including with his LFTR design, i.e. using the radioactive by product for beneficial commercial applications, and using the excess heat to power something else (free heat) like desalinating water, the efficiencies are freaking endless... off the chart really...
i.e. it would be so ridiculously safe and low maintenance... and there would no country in the world that couldn't afford to not have it... whoever gets it to market first... wins... end of story (and happily ever after... ?)
(oh wait... I think I just asked my question and answered it... (dohhh!!!)

In a nutshell... as I begin to see the technology and the 'big picture'... the money the Rockefeller oligopolists make from refining Uranium and supplying is why no one can break into the market... apparently ever since they 'fired' Alvin Weinberg... who was the inventor and patent holder for BOTH designs and he clearly wanted to go with the Thorium, as the more efficient, safer model...
The Bureaucratic blockade that Milton Shaw put in place against Liquid Molten Salt Reactor is still the NUMBER ONE reason blocking this technology... it protects the BILLIONS that the Rockefeller controlled interest (just saying Rockefeller...) have in the old technology... side by side competition with MSR would wipe them out... financially, engineering wise, by-product wise (because by products of Thorium have non military commercial application), ecologically, i.e. 100 hundreds of times less waste, etc, etc ad nauseum...
This tells me they KNEW VERY WELL what the MSR technology represented... they just wanted plutonium... That was then... This is now... These protectionist regulatory regulations that are killing the US economy and sucking billions and billions unnecessarily are killing MSR...
And the sense I am getting these boys (Kirk, et al...) are brilliant scientists and technologists... but I am starting to see they are not promoting this right... (They need marketing consultation...) and they are not tackling the regulation issue head on... They need to educate the public better to get social momentum... I have been following this thing for how long now? and I am just starting to really appreciate what he is talking about and it is blowing my mind even more... The plutonium FAST BREEDER is a TOTAL ROCKEFELLER SCAM...
.07% efficiency vs over 95% efficiency? High Pressure Reactors 10,20,30 times more expensive to build? the hundred atmospheres of pressures makes it totally unsafe.. at the scales they are building them... it's only 'plus' was creating plutonium for the military... the US has had literally decades to perfect MSR... which was already 90% done!... in retrospect... Alvin should have laid low... and just let it go... and maybe they wouldn't have buried it in so such a huge pile of regulatory restrictions... (someone was clearly trying to cover their arses...) the bias and prejudice was 100% unjustified... 100%...
This is similar to the William Randolph Hearst story all over, who single handedly bought the government to block Hemp growth which would have been in direct competition with his pulp and paper investment in forestry... the result: he became a multi billionaire and deface our continent of millions and millions and millions of trees... (thank you William Randolph...) This is exactly what is happening with Plutonium Fast Breeders vs Thorium liquid Molten Salt Reactors... it's a no brainer...
And if the public doesn't wake up it will continue bleeding billions into the Rockefeller bank accounts until China and India perfect and mass produce it... (in the next 10 years...) and the public can't wake up until they understand (REALLY WELL) what Kirk and others are explaining here... Once you see it... it's enraging... I can't believe how polite Kirk and the others are (they are engineers...) and I think this is a mistake... it's just way too polite to the point of being misleading...

Can Thorium Nuclear Energy Make A Comeback?
Km6kqykX900
Nuclear energy gets a pretty bad rap – for good reasons. But thorium, a weakly radioactive element, is hailed to fix all its problems: no meltdowns, less waste, no bombs. We developed a molten-salt reactor to unlock its potential decades ago – but then turned our backs on it. Was that a huge mistake?

Nuclear 4.0: NEW Thorium Reactor Burns NUCLEAR WASTE for 1000 Years!:
oWzbVLqJoMA
Germany, a nation known for its groundbreaking technological feats, is now at the forefront of a #nuclear (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/nuclear) revolution that could completely change the future of our entire planet! The fact that Germany was the first country to abandon #nuclearenergy (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/nuclearenergy) has led to an unexpected yet enlightening outcome. The ongoing war in Ukraine and sanctions against cheap Russian gas have pushed the country into a severe energy crisis, posing challenges to the country's economy and calling into question its nuclear phase-out. However, though Germany is phasing out nuclear power, the nation is still leading in nuclear technologies. And now, it is witnessing the dawn of next-generation nuclear technologies with its latest thorium reactor breakthrough. Introducing the Dual Fluid Reactor - a groundbreaking new #Thorium (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/thorium) ämoltensaltreactor design that is game-changing for several reasons. While traditional nuclear plants use a more than 50-year-old Technology based on uranium, the next generation of nuclear reactors is harnessing #Thorium (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/thorium), an element much more powerful and abundant than #uranium (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/uranium). With only one ton of Thorium, it is possible to generate the same amount of energy as with 200 tons of Uranium, and a dangerous meltdown is physically impossible! But what makes this new reactor truly amazing is the fact that it can burn nuclear waste. By untapping this resource and commercializing nuclear waste, this new #thorium (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/thorium)reactor (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/liquidfluoridethoriumreactor) could supply our entire world with clean and safe nuclear energy for up to 1000 years!
