A new report out this month found that American officials could have been
unknowingly buying fuel from Iran for years - despite numerous sanctions strictly
prohibiting such a purchase. The report found that the US failed to verify the source
of the fuel they purchased for Afghan security forces due to a lack of oversight by
the Department of Defense. Between 2007 and 2012, about 1.1 billion dollars was
spent for these purposes. So how did this happen? And what does it say about US
sanctions in Iran? Jamal Abdi, Policy Director for the National Iranian American
Council joins us to break it down.

now that's leadership, Iran is the boogyman, we must stop them for obtaining WMD'S , by the way can we buy some oil for a mini war next door ??? the ptb don't even try and hide anything anymore... they could announce a false flag on the evening news and still go on with it and try and sell it anyway ...and some would follow hook line and sinker all the way to the net ...

Could have been? Unknowingly? Pfft. I don't believe that for a second :nono:

I specualte they bought billions of dollars worth of fuel from several Iranian sources (because the military never limit their vital supply lines to a single source) and they paid about the same amount in bribes to the Iranian government to allow the sales to go ahead and to keep quiet about it.

No doubt they'll blame the same shoddy book-keeping that helped them "lose" 2.3 Trillion dollars in one year.

I wonder if anyone checked Donald Rumsfeld's pockets.

Why is there no accountability? Why no major public investigation?
