So a few days ago a community gem from Chicago who attended the Obama inaugration was shot dead on the street. Someone jumped a fence and shot her, jumped into a waiting car and took off not to be seen again. Rahm Emanuel is taking it to the hilt to promote and push forward more gun control not for Chicago, but for all the places that they think Chicago guns come from.

I am having a very hard time accepting that this was not a set up to create emotional frenzy. Do I think the Obama camp capable? :( Just how many children did Obama authorize to kill with drones this year? and how many American citizens was it he knowingly attacked and murdered with drones one of which was a 16 year old boy?

How does Team Obama justify killing him?

The answer Gibbs gave is chilling:

ADAMSON: ...It's an American citizen that is being targeted without due process, without trial. And, he's underage. He's a minor.

GIBBS: I would suggest that you should have a far more responsible father if they are truly concerned about the well being of their children. I don't think becoming an al Qaeda jihadist terrorist is the best way to go about doing your business.

this article describes the event of the murder of Hadiya:

Here is Rahm Emanuel speaking:

the NDAA document states that American citizens can be detained without a warrent and held indefinately. Perhaps they should include in there 'and executed without jury and trial' because this is what they are doing anyway... just so we can have a heads up.

People committed to evil deeds will always find a way to justify their actions...

lets not forget that before the ndaa was introduced... the battlefield was extended to cover the entire planet...
so theoretically, i could end up being held under that act..... and i'm in the UK.

regarding the OP.....

we should not be suprised by hypocrisy and double standards.

its what they do.

but in a way....

things like this will forge a dividing line.

with them and the remaining sheep on one side....

and those who can see it all, and know the difference between right and wrong, on the other.

they are losing support every day as more and more people wake up.

in a 'cant make an ommelette without breaking eggs' kinda way...
i hope it gets more extreme....

because more people will wake up more quickly.

cheers

My first thought upon seeing this yesterday was: "REALLY"? http://www.bigtenfever.com/forums/images/smilies/popcorn.gif Quite the gun loving outdoorsman suddenly. Can you say..."Doublethink"?

in that article of him with photo of shotgun he said, “And I have a profound respect for the traditions of hunting that trace back in this country for generations. And I think those who dismiss that out of hand make a big mistake.”

there is also a profound tradition in this country for self defense against tyrannical governments and I think those who dismiss that out of hand make a big mistake.

The only question I had on that photo was if he was allegedly shooting skeet then gun should not be level with the eyes.

http://tv.msnbc.com/2013/02/04/exclusive-justice-department-memo-reveals-legal-case-for-drone-strikes-on-americans/

This is a report on a memo that has been the subject of a great deal of FOIA requests and routinely withheld, I'm not sure how this reporter got hold of it, but it lays out the guidelines of what it takes to order a drone strike. If you read through the report you might be surprised to find out that it requires an "imminent" threat but that doesn't mean that they have actual intelligence on a known threat, what is meant is

(direct quote from the report) "Instead, it says, an “informed, high-level” official of the U.S. government may determine that the targeted American has been “recently” involved in “activities” posing a threat of a violent attack and “there is no evidence suggesting that he has renounced or abandoned such activities.” The memo does not define “recently” or “activities.”

The "targeted American" is the guy the drone is going to come blow up. Your question about how many of these there have been is a valid one. I don't expect we'll get an answer anytime soon.
