View Full Version : Energy of Intent

All of our interactions are energetic in nature, and the defining characteristic of each interaction is the energy of intent. Energy is neutral until charged, but how often do we consider the charge, or “intent” we put on our energy as we relate to each other? Perhaps a story will illustrate the point best?
When I was on the isle of Lesbos, I travelled to the centre of the island to visit an art gallery. I heard a commotion from the top of the building, and made my way up. I entered an octagonal room with windows on all sides. There was dust billowing in the air, and shafts of sunlight illuminated it clearly. Two old Greek ladies, dressed all in black where frantically trying to shoo a trapped bird out of what was the only one of the many windows that opened. The bird was in a state of panic, repeatedly banging into windows as it tried to find a way out, stirring up more dust to swirl through the shafts of light, the sound of its frantic wing beats contributing to what was an otherworldly, or dream-like scene. It perched atop an icon, breathless, close to exhaustion. I calmly walked to the centre of the room, connected my energy with the energy of the bird, and extended my arm to point to the narrow window opening that led to freedom. I then sent my energy from the bird to the window, and immediately the bird flew unerringly out of the window.
The energy of my intent was to help the bird, so it responded in a way that was best for all concerned, mostly itself. Had my intent been to command the bird into a cage the same size as that window opening so I could wring its neck and roast it, then there is no way in hell the bird would have obeyed. I could have stood in exactly the same way, pointed the same, directed my energy the same, but behind all this would be the energy of intent that the bird would sense. I work with animals every day, and they know whether we wish to help or harm them. We also have this ability to sense the intent behind each word and action. To those who are open to it, there is no hiding the energy of our intent.

Being aware of one's intent, and utilizing it vigilantly and prudently all the time is really key. It's about acknowledging and using our free will to shape the fabric of existence consciously starting on the very underlying level. Beautiful story, music. :)

There's also a soul intention, that won't have much if anything to do with the story. I would try to intend for that, and don't be too disturbed if that might look like anything.
The power in manifestation is the same power that creates defeat, but there is part of you that will need to be defeated. It's often misinterpretation of the purpose in things
that we believe we've created in error. There's undoing to be done, and it won't be stopped by our preferences.
Love the bird story.

I was wondering about that. If one were to look at the longer historical cycles one can see that both dark as well as golden ages existed.
So if one perceives an upward curve which is just starting, one that were to continue rising for the next thousand years, far longer than one's own life time will last, then to lend energy to such a cycle is not going to produce defeat, but actually bring one the benefits of having participated in a collective creative effort.

For sure, intention is key,
in fact one of the most powerful tools of all.
All of the energetic work i do starts and ends with intention.
Its like the key that turns the ignition on.
It's even more powerful when you are a clear vessel,
as clear as you can be. Those two components
set the scene for unlimited manifestation. The other parts
being intensity and frequency.
Great thread topic

What most quickly and easily moves you to action? Or change? Necessity. That acts locally, in you. You who is the collective. That's what a collective really is.
So it always ever depends on solely you. When you make your choice. When you do, and only then, the collective does. Who else would you be able to depend on for that?
It's not that remarkable. You can even miss it. See it in retrospect.
Well you're coming to depend on yourself now. Noticeably changes doesn't it?
You know this; there's a lot more to do than learn to think only happy thoughts. Happier is the best you'll do. When we find tools that work for us, we have to take care
not to misuse them. That's the only problem you could have. Failure is a huge gift in this process.
Some people have gone through their failure and moved on. It's good to remember the ignition that failure was. The passion of it.
The first tear in the cocoon.
No, you don't experience it as upward. It's inward. Behind or beyond or beneath concepts, because the concepts never showed you anything of you. This is you. Remarkably yourself.
The most non-mystical mystic experience you could ever have, but the most important.
But I think there's merit to getting a grip on your nightmares if that's all they are.
That might be off-topic. Sorry. This is a really good OP.

In the natural sciences, there is a concept called "kin selection", in which an animal takes a course of action that is detrimental to itself, but which benefits the meta-population. This works even when the other individuals are not directly related. The pay-off for the animal is that even though its life may be compromised or done, animals that share a large slice of gentetic material with that individual flourish. So the individual may be thought of as consigning itself to a dark age, so its kin may walk in the golden sun.

There has been a noticable move on this forum of late to supremecist, crypto-facist and eugenicist viewpoints. The question we need to ask ourselves, bearing in mind the energy of intent, is whether or not we really support the notion that the "strong" should not be hindered by the "weak". What is our intent? Is it coming from the heart, or is it coming from an ego that sees itself as one of the strong? Does the weak person need a rock to head, or do they need a kind word? Are we comfortable with the fact that many animals that we consider lower than us appear to show more compassion, more altruism, and more connection to the fabric of this reality than we do?
In another thread (here) (http://projectavalon.net/forum4/showthread.php?55207-Entities-Possession-and-Psychic-Attack) I detailed what my experience has shown me about possession, and its relation to intent. When we are ego controlled (and exalting the "strong" over the "weak" is a sure sign of ego-dominance), we may well be showing symptoms of possession, or more usually "self-possession".
