I found an interesting website that shows maps of relationships between people, corporations, finances, politics, entertainment and more.
If you go there, search on Council on Foreign Relations. The results show both written articles and graphics about members and family ties. There is an article about how members are nominated and/or recommended and that there are dynastys in membership.
If you're creative you can map notible people but there are many maps already created.
Be sure to read through some of the articles. They highlight a world not known to us regular types.
Note in American English - a Mukety-muk is a person of influence and stature.
