Hi Avalonians!

I remembered those words when I decided to help a young woman to survive a severe HCV Infection. I've set up an indiegogo.com campaign to help her. Without our help this beautiful young lady will be gone within 3 month. Please take a look, like, share or even donate for saving her life. Please go to:

http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/save-regina/x/301430

And

https://www.facebook.com/SaveRegina

This is her story, very brief:

Regina Alengoz is a young and beautiful 26 year old woman from Dnepropetrovsk in Ukraine who always enjoyed doing sports, who led a healthy way of life. Someone who is still dreaming about having a family and kids on her own, open minded and well-liked by her peers. Full of life with a good heart, brave and intelligent.

When Regina was 17 she had a routine and benign surgery at the hospital. It was back then when she was infected by the Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Genotype 1 b. Who could have known that the hygiene standards were so neglected? What is worse, the disease was first diagnosed in 2011 when Regina was 24.

From July 2011 to July 2012 she underwent chemotherapy. The attending physician, PhD, assistant professor of infectious diseases in Kiev turned to a wrong diagnosis and a wrong treatment was applied. Valuable time was wasted that way.

The medical malpractice of the doctor now has resulted in a relapse and in the strongest mutation of the virus. The doctors are fighting for her life. The severity of the disease has resulted in a severe hepatic fibrosis and a failure of the immune system.

The family had to bear the cost of treatment. So far more than US$56.000. They sold everything they owned to buy the expensive medication that should save Regina's life. Nothing is left and because of the wrong therapy Regina's life is in the highest danger. Without the proper medication, the doctors expect within three month time that the worst will happen.

From now on every day counts.

Only the very expensive medication can help her

Regina now needs 9 month therapy with Viktrelis and 12 month therapy with Pegalis.

The medication is extremely expensive:

9 month Victrelis = 9 x 3.680 EUR = 33.120 EUR that's

US$ 44.295,00

12 month Pegasis = 12 x 998,10 EUR = 11.977,20 EUR that's

US$19.018,10

We need your help to save Regina's life. Every single dime will be used for the medication. Even if we don't reach our funding goal we can buy some time. As time is running out we have to act now.

The biggest gift one can make to another human being is to save ones life. The Buddha said: "Save one life and you save the world." Be you the one who saves the precious life of a beautiful 26 year old woman from a far away country.
