"USGS" is a stupid computer script posting a feed from http://earthquake.usgs.gov ... it doesn't hear your entreaties :).

If this were enough of a problem, I suppose the forum admins could recode the script, but as it stands we've not ever even looked at the mechanism that drives this.

I am personally grateful for the regular USGS feeds to Avalon - I wouldn't have known about the recent Solomon Island quake (and impending Tsunami as we were in its path) if it wasn't for this site. It took the MSM quite a while to catch up and I was getting more info from Avalon. After all, no-one is making anyone read a post. No offense, but a 24-hr overview would kinda defeat the purpose! Cheers! ;)

EDIT: As a side note, there are a series of small quakes going off around Tonopah, Nevada in the last 24-hrs, all in a concentrated area.
