I spent a great deal of my life oblivious to the fact cancer is simply an enormous business making thousands of people wealthy beyond belief. After having three operations I was told..........."you have cancer". I started to search for every cure I could find on cancer, I started to research every doctor that had a decent reputation in surgical oncology in the United States. I looked into every aspect of alternative medicines. I went to clinic after clinic, Johns Hopkins, University of NC at Chapel Hill, Mayo Clinic to name just a few. I finally decided to be treated at Duke University in NC.

I was blown away by the size and the number of people in the waiting rooms, a small waiting room would hold 150 people, a large one had 200-300 people waiting for a diagnosis or treatment. It made no difference which day of the week or what hour of the day I was there, every single room was filled without exception, every time I went. I began to think........why would any of these people want to cure cancer, it is paying a lot of mortgages, putting a lot of food on the table and paying for a lot of vacation homes for those making the most. Then there are the clinics, the hospitals, the pharmaceutical companies, the hotels close to hospitals, restaurants near these facilities, taxi's catering exclusively to these patients, there is an endless parade of companies making their living off cancer. On top of all that there is the Food and Drug Administration and the National Institute of Health (NIH) overseeing everything. They too have a vested interest in keeping this cancer money train on the track.

I have spoken to doctors, researchers, and medical professionals and they will all tell you that there are cures for cancers that are being held up by the government. Many will openly tell you that they do not expect the government to approve these "cures" in their lifetime. They will never come out and say it is a conspiracy, they all say it is "just how the system works".

When you spend your life standing outside of the cancer world peeking in (as I did) and then without any advance warning you are thrust inside of the cancer world looking out, your perspective quickly changes and clarity of the issues is immediate and amazing. After all its about life and death and it is your life.

So when I see a story like this, a 15 year old kid does what an army of medical professionals could not (or would not do) in a very short period of time I pay attention, it confirms my sense of why advances in cancer cures and treatments have been dragging on forever. The story is so sensational that the mainstream media can not ignore it, they cannot put it on page 28 of the style section of the NY Times. Even once the story goes public the government could hold up this method of diagnosing patients for years or even decades in medical/government red tape. Lets hope that does not happen. Lets not let it happen!

It is up to us to demand more, especially from the government. They are the ones controlling every aspect of the cancer world. You won't see them, you won't even hear about them when cancer is discussed but make no mistake they are the wizard behind the curtain controlling treatments, drugs, procedures and ultimately the cures. If we don't make noise or take action we can expect more of the same and that is unacceptable.

Also for those interested, I am finally cancer free, it took some alternative medicines, more operations, even an amputation. I truly believe the best prevention is keeping a positive attitude and a positive outlook on life. Oh yes..........I can have an edge, even get pissed off as long as it comes from something I am passionate about, it actually feels good. Otherwise life is a mysteriously wonderful and I enjoy living it everyday.

Here is the story about Jack, our 15 year old! (Sorry for being so long winded)

Jack Andraka is a fifteen year old freshman in high school. He developed a paper sensor that could detect pancreatic, ovarian and lung cancer in five minutes for as little as 3 cents. He conducted his research at John Hopkins University. This research could change the face of cancer and promote early detection. To think that scientists spending millions of dollars to find more about cancer, a 15 year old finds out by doing a science fair project! Jack's method is 168 times faster, 26,000 times cheaper, 400 times more sensitive and has a 90% success rate.

Hello Rgray, just watched the vid: had to log-on to say thank you.
That is one inspiring piece of video, it should be shown to all 15year old children right now.
The pitfalls however are to be found among those that do not want any quick fix solutions.
Let us wake folks up to this lad, and his discovery.

Our children's future, our children's voices in medicine and our children curing the elite medical monopoly. My daughter just completed four years in college and now sees she can't finish the two years needed to be a dentist which has been her passion since braces. Now she has to not only find medical coverage for a job in MLT that she didn't seek or know about(she said they only talked about being a doctor) She stated if she would have known MLT Medical Lab Tech even existed, she would have pursued it. Now she has the chance to be a Lab Tech Supervisor, provided she can find insurance to cover her for the course of 15 months, as a student resident over the young doctors that are treating patients for oral disease. This test would be great in her lab.

I feel sorry for her finding out how cold and unyielding with non solutions to simple problems. If you want a MLT that's top in her GPA, then they need to have medical coverage for the residents for their courses, to have these young minds working on cures. I will do all i can calling around in this "red state" of non compassion for future doctors and medical staff exposed to virus, microbes, and bacteria's. They are still calling it "obamacare" and refusing to help their own future.

Just sad. Pray i can find her something, because I'm on disability, never was middle class, just working poor. Two of my daughters earned their college through their grades. My daughter is 4.6 GPA and they are losing a good hearted soul who only wanted to provide service to the poor, who's insurance didn't cover their oral care, unless under 18 here. My teeth as well as many others are very bad and most times I pray my grinders will last the life of the body. Lack of proper unaffordable nutrition does horrors to our bodies.

Please pray I can find something out there to cover basic care and blood work if she is exposed. She can't have the job without health insurance and the state of Virginia is still fighting the coverage to her until 26.

Its so heartbreaking to see her go through a future she didn't work to achieve, obtain a job of her skills(settle for something else than her passion because of cost) and then be turned down because NO healthcare. You would think like other hospitals, they asked her to come, they would at least cover her arse as she's discovering the disease for others, but so far, not here. My other daughter (another scholar) wants to be an anesthesiologist and pharmacist. She too needs healthcare. I don't understand it. Every year like clockwork they demand to know my tax status and income, yet provide diddly for those bought in on their own merit.

Heavenly Father please help me to search out an insurance that perhaps I can afford for a healthy 22 year old vegan.

There was some super promising research (i think last year) where doctors/scientists were able to find proteins in the blood that not only serve as cancer precursors but also warning flags during early stage cancer.

So far, CBD oil (from the cannabidiol in the cannabis plant) shrinks stage 1 thru 4 cancer cells.

I hope that all of these people working together can find a sure cure for these suffering people.

It's little different than the people who take vaccines and get nothing good for it... this chemo crap.

Sounds like a litmus test for protein cancer precursors!
what a godly genius kid @@

edit:nforgot to thank you again

Cancer is already curable, just not according to the medical establishment. Cancer is a multi billion dollars business that is not going away anytime soon, unless more people become educated about cancer. The cures are suppressed by the AMA because they cannot patent nature; therefore no industry.

rgray22 Glad to hear that you are well. I dare say a shift in how you saw your self an your life may have been the underlying cure. I agree with you about the cancer industry but I would place most of the alternative health industry into the same basket. All of these miracle cures and alternative remedies aim for the same vulnerabilities in how we see ourselves and do not address the root causes of cancer (and most illness for that matter)

In my own 6 year journey with cancer I've realized that illness is just a label. You can feel whatever you want, including healed but to do so you must remove everything that prevents you from "allowing" healing to flow. and to allow, first you must feel everything. So keep that edge, get pissed off and suppress nothing. Feel everything and then you have felt life fully. Let go, live.

Happy healing and staying label free !

I read somewhere that the oncology community was surveyed. They were asked if a family member or a loved one was diagnosed with cancer would they recommend Chemo (notice I didn't use the word therapy). Approximately 87% said no, they would not want someone they cared about to have Chemo. What does that tell you?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: "there is no money in cure" ;)

.... I've realized that illness is just a list of symptoms under an insurance billing code....

Added my humble opinion to your well thought out piece. ;)
