Strange And Loud Booms Reported Indiana And kentucky Jan. 8th 2013
Residents in the area have reported hearing a strange loud boom that sounded like a huge explosion. This was not an earthquake because the USGS doesn't have reports of any activity in the area. This strange phenomenon has been reported around the world the past few years. In other reports witnesses heard booms, trumpets and grinding metal sounds.

FyI, SW Florida ft. Myers area US at 1;35 pm laying down to take a nap. Jumped out of my skin a very large boom -- explosion like a 105 howitzer going off near by.
Cloudy day on and off rain light showers, no reports on local radio or tv just strange. Allot of people came out of their houses looking around including me.

Last night around 9 pm ish my front windows made a cracking like pop noise, kind of like when a house might settle, only louder. Characteristic of maybe a mild earthquake. it happened twice. South Illiniois.

Here is a recent post that might be an explanation for the loud explosions.

Did anyone see the footage of the meteorite that flew over a city near Russia? I wonder if it was a companion of the bigger one that is passing close by the Earth... there were "Boom's" heard all over their part of the Hemisphere... along with the video you will see below with... well watch for your self if you haven't already... great footage from multiple sources.

I was also wondering if there wasn't a connection! Anyone else in the Northern Hemisphere who heard loud booming sounds round about that time? UK? Scandivania? Europe? I think it is possible that this was a close encounter between Earth and a few asteroids (well, officially we can say they were asteroids when the evidence is produced from the impact craters).
What I find so scary about this is that officially the whole world has been informed of that boringly named asteroid (name is so unimaginative that I never remember it!) that will be passing close to Earth, round about now, with lots of reassurances that there is no danger. I guess everyone has been so busy watching that asteroid that no one was paying any attention to whatever else is happening up there. I also wonder why a lot of people believe we are the most advanced form of human beings who have lived on this planet when we really don't know what is going to happen next and why!

Here's some more "weirdness"....
MORRISTOWN, TN - Late Tuesday afternoon dozens of concerned neighbors called Hamblen County 911 to report the earth shaking and the sound of a large blast. At first the US Geological Survey reported there was no earthquake in the area. That prompted local emergency management officials to spend Wednesday looking at other options. 10News spoke with TDEC (Tennessee Department of Environmental Conservation) who ruled out fracking or quarry activity. Then, we checked with the University of Memphis Center for Earthquake Research and Information, sponsored by the USGS. Geologist Gary Patterson went and pulled the records from sensors on Tuesday and says he could see activity consistent with an earthquake or quarry blasting. Emergency Managment Agency Director Chris Bell says there was no licensed blasting in the Hamblen County area on Tuesday. 10News also confirmed with the area’s only quarry, Vulcan Materials, which say no blasting happened yesterday. Patterson says the activity shows up over a large area with sensors reporting vibrations in Copper Ridge, Avondale Springs, Green Top, and Lonesome, VA. He says the USGS doesn’t have a lot of sensors in that area which may have resulted in the automated system’s failure to report the activity. Patterson says they need more time to investigate, but either an earthquake or quarry blasting could solve the ‘Morristown Mystery.

I believe these sounds correlate directly with Seismic activity related to movement of magma from older chambers into newer chambers.
Sometimes water gets down into the deeper rock layers in the mantle and causes loud cracking sounds.
But booms and the like are actually quite common, even in the center of a tectonic plate!
It could be that the New Madrid fault is "adjusting" itself; i.e. relieving tension in small bursts rather than saving it all up for the big shake.
Nature yields disasters but she usually tries the high road first.
P.S. we got one of those booms in Seattle last year or so,
it sounded like timpanis and flying trash cans, it was so loud.
like a fireball in the sky shaking the ground. or something coming out of the center of the earth, lol.

The New Madrid fault line would be a scary place to live. Edgar Cayce said the Great Lakes would drain into the Gulf of Mexico and costal areas would be submerged under water. Any volunteers to be the next Noah?

I heard a loud bang on the 14th at 8:30am, it was more like a fiery explosion sound, best to describe it. Apparently no one else heard it. It rumbled a bit so was strong enough to shake up the air. It could have been at any distance within a mile though, there is construction going on, but I don't think there is any substantial enough to cause such a sound when collapsing.
Its not like other sounds heard, but still odd, since it was nothing like a firework.

If someone was drilling for natural resources in your uterus non stop, you would be letting out a loud noise as well.
No difference between the two.
Gaia (Mother Earth) could very well be undergoing traumatic labor pains. We need to give her some rest. We have raped her long enough.
Her resources are starting to dwindle away.
We also had some loud boom sounds the other morning around 3:50 Am here in The East Coast.

Return to Part 1
February 20, 2013 Albuquerque, New Mexico - Since my February 1, 2013, Earthfiles and Coast radio reports about the mysterious and persistent loud booms, flashes of light and shaking ground and buildings, I have received more than a hundred boom reports from various parts of the United States. This peculiar phenomenon has persisted since early 2011. The following are some of the emails sent to Earthfiles by ear and eye witnesses to the strange booms and light flashes, often followed by the appearance of military helicopters flying in the area.
