Far different, but no less important than the high brow spiritual and esoteric teachings we commonly discuss here, are the red headed step-children of teachings along our path, that are for the most part neglected. What I mean is, what were some of the earliest catalysts that compelled us down this path far less traveled in the first place?
Of course there are many examples, and they are as varied as there are types of people, but I'll just pick one from my own past to use as an example, with a little help from Kris Krosterfferson.(Please no Arizona Wilder interjections, that can be for a different thread).
I've had more than my fair share of experiences with "Sunday Morning Coming Down" as he puts it, and turns out the cold feeling of loss, regret, and lonelines described, is just another way for the Universe to prompt the question: "Do you wish for this to continue, or do you want something else?"
I propose that these reflective moments in time, whether like in the song, trapped in an abusive relationship, shame, ruin, or a myriad of other low points in life along the way, can actually be blessings in disguise. If we allow it that is, and can muster the courage from deep within by taking action to change things. Who knows, maybe we even intend painful encounters with them before incarnating, just to see if we got what it takes to move on...
