Hello Avalon, I need to apologize to all my friends here. A few months back I was
planning to leave the alt community. I did a really stupid move! I started deleting
all my friends and clearing all of my posted messages. I was very confused at that
time and I just wanted to let all of my former friends know they did nothing wrong!
I wanted to ask for their friendship back but I was ashamed at my behavior. I
recieved a pm last night from one of my former friends asking me why he/she had
been unfriended and so i tried to explain. This person is such a good person.
I feel like a heel. I AM SO SORRY to you all.

It's all good, Jagster. A lot of people engage in forums like this and think it is a game. When you realize it is not, it can get a bit serious. That you have decided to honor your convictions is no small thing. Blessings to You and Yours, All Ways.

it is better to throw forum friends out when you have a fit than throwing your wife or children out. Forum members will get up and be fine.

You are probably more in need of a reaction from your friends, but as a newbie I would like to thank you for your courage to apologize and welcome back! I am also curious to what your confusion was about if you would like to share.

I appreciate the response Malerogro. My fathers health was failing and I had
host of many other situations going on in my life at the time. I have always
been a strong person who doesnt like to ask for help and has I started to see
chinks in my armor I felt I could no longer contribute here in a positive way.
There was quite a few here who were facing similar problems has myself and
they gave me courage. I should acknowledge Fred S. Limor, Thunder 24 and
many more. I could go on and on. This truly is a special place that I'm proud of!

I did the exact same thing shortly before retiring from Avalon back in December of 2011 Jagman. Remember that? First deleted were just the couple or few friends I was upset with at the time, then it was all of them, a good clean sweep. And then I left. It seems sometimes it takes actually losing something, or carelessly throwing it away, in order to come into the full realization of just how special that something really was.
Sometimes we can get it back, and sometimes we can't. This is a pretty forgiving place.

Hi Jagman, I'm glad you're still here as your calls to Coast2Coast and other threads/posts are very interesting. I hope things are going better for you now, and don't be afraid to ask for anything as we care and most of us WANT to helpeach-other as we are all going through very tough times - e.g. the bad economy, a probable dollar collapse, etc.

it takes heart to climb down from something....
sometimes the hardest thing to do, is change your mind. s'all good though.
we dont learn much when everything is going well.
we learn from our mistakes.
and admitting we are wrong about something,
is far more powerful that refusing to see whats in front of us.
fair play to ya!

Reminded me of Tom Hanks and 'Wilson':

The fazes in life. They are not all good and positive. However, it sounds like you are on the right path back. Sometimes it can be painful to admit that you made mistakes. In my life experience, it is more painful to live with them bottled up inside you then admitting that you did something that you regret.
You can't always take them back, but you can sure as hell make up for them.

No apology required, but accepted anyway.
Can you forgive yourself for the "perceived" transgression?
I say perceived in quotes because, it isn't really one :) Its just one of those things. We all get an opportunity to see the little games and perceptions that little bit more clearly because of this thread ! Thanks !

Hey,
I am reminded of that old simpson’s episode where homer says something along the lines of let those who haven’t sinned throw the first rock and Ned Flanders son throws a rock into Homer’s head. I don’t think there are that many of us that haven’t at one time or another felt overwhelmed or confused and acted accordingly. I can spend all day reading mind changing works then bite the head off my wife or child for no apparent reason??? Yeah that is living the way isn’t it? But it sounds like you are having a slice of humble pie, and you know what with cream it isn’t that bad a pie. I think if more was eaten this wouldn’t be such a bad place after all. Ego pie or Ahole pie is too common on this menu – yes I am on a diet again.
Take care and remember that just like an aeroplane is always adjusting its course to get to the destination we too are always making adjustments on our journeys, hmm I like that one not food related.

I almost did the same thing a while ago...this passed summer I said to myself what the hell am I doing living in Fantasy land?? and that very weekend I deleted all my saved youtube videos unsubdued to all my chanel's and went out for the night. my plan was to leave PA the next day. That night I played poker at local casino. I did OK and I was outside talking to an Lumi rap artist up and coming smoking a cig. We both looked up in the sky it was about 510 am and if we both didn't see 2 UFOs. It was like it was saying to me what the hell are you doing.
PS you will always be my friend!
