Alien Mysteries - New TV show on Discovery Channel

I heard the radio promo for this on the way home from work today....and saw the TV ad for it earlier this evening. Seems very interesting. I hope they do the genre some justice here. Looking forward to checking it out. I looked it up on Wiki but there's no page for it yet. Kinda curious how many episodes there will be and so forth.

Maybe it is only the promo, but I dislike it when they sensationalize the paranormal, trying to make it sound like a thrill ride at an amusement park, and when they cultivate the "need to believe" in the strange.

Topics about UFOs, spiritual presences, etc. should be approached with reverence, openness, thoughtfulness and rational skepticism. Unfortunately, the study and understanding of these subjects are being destroyed by the commercialization of them.

Just thinking about the David Icke quote about how hospitals destroy health, religion destroys spirituality, education destroys intelligence, etc. All these things become commercial enterprises, and there goes the neighborhood!
