Dear Avalon,

My Steph grandfather was recently diagnosed with 'Small Vessel brain disease' or 'Vasculair Gout Lobe Atrophy Dementia'.
He is sick for about 2 years now, but they diagnosed him only now with this.

As far as I know it is a form of arteriosclerosis (calcification of the arteries) in the small arteries in his brain, which give him minor strokes in his brain every now and then.
This caused his motoric system to fail more and more over the past years.

He is in the hospital at the moment and as far as I can see it, most people are giving up on him, including some of his children.
He is (as always) willing to give it a try and get over this to live another day.
He is now close to 80 years of age.

He gets homeopathic support.

I was wondering if any of you people might know of ways to reverse this process.

Maybe there are alternative means to heal the calcificated arteries?

I read about borax (http://health-science-spirit.com/borax.htm) for instance that it ballances the parathyroid hormone which, when available excessively, causes calcium to leave the bones and go to the blood stream to settle in soft tissues.

Boron deficiency causes the parathyroids to become overactive, releasing too much parathyroid hormone which raises the blood level of calcium by releasing calcium from bones and teeth. This then leads to osteoarthritis and other forms of arthritis, osteoporosis and tooth decay. With advancing age high blood levels of calcium lead to calcification of soft tissues causing muscle contractions and stiffness; calcification of endocrine glands, especially the pineal gland and the ovaries; arteriosclerosis, kidney stones, and calcification of the kidneys ultimately leading to kidney failure. Boron deficiency combined with magnesium deficiency is especially damaging to the bones and teeth.

Borax is a relative unknown supplement and on the internet is much contradictory information to be found, which makes me a bit insecure to recommend this to him.

Also, I was thinking about high doses of anti-oxidants like vitamin C (liposomal), glutathione and maybe ascorbyl palmitate (a fat soluble vitamin C that can pass the blood/brain barriiere).

What do you think about my findings?

What can you recommend?

Thank you for your input!

Look for meditation that is vibrational to losen up those arteries and use vinegar to remove fatty cells in the blood and keep blood flowing to prevent the mini strokes. It sounds like there may be an incident trying to block. Chakra blocking meditative tones and perhaps the OMM... vibration in a headset for about ten minutes ever hour or so. Just guessing that blockages or possible blocks need to be free to flow and the tones break up calcification in the pineal gland. So look up Pineal decalcification tones and tell him to use peroxide to brush teeth, NOT flouridated water rinse and spring water or mineral water.

It's worth a try. Our family has aneurism history and I don't want it, so I keep blockages prevented with vinegar. Tablespn two or three times a week, whether poured over lettuce and cucumber, tablespoon of honey to chase the taste.

Godspeed to recovery.

Honey and Cinnamon! :thumb:

I have Honey and Cinnamon daily..

You can make paste.. a spoonful of honey (good quality) sprinkled with cinnamon, or have on some bread or even drink with warm water.
Honey and Cinnamon taken regularly is known and proven to unblock and remove cholesterol and plaque from the arteries.

This strokelike disease is actually happening to a lot of people who have taken SSRIs!!!!

I hope you find a way to help him :(

edit: from all this reading, it looks like the condition is very aggravated, as you said, by the natural (old age) processes of releasing calcium and phosphate from the bones!

If there was a way to block the hormones responsible or to break the process,
the damage would slow down. I don't know how to repair the vessels already damaged, though :(

fish oil???? etc?

to treat this man you would have to fool his body into believing there is a LOW amount of "extracellular calcium", which is the factor that causes his body to release even more (stimulating the parathyroid)

isn't that weird?

I am wondering if giving him extra magnesium would halt the calcium stripping. too much magnesium in the blood slows down the release of calcium, in fact hypermagnesia causes hypocalcemia

he would be developing osteoporosis as well as dementia if my theory holds

Hi Eram! Is your grandfather able to walk? Weight bearing exercise and movement are the best for retaining bone density and increasing it, too. Vitamin C can't hurt either. Is he allowed to drink a little red wine, too?

So sorry to hear about this. It's a sad arduous process to go through. My mother died of FTD, frontal lobe dementia, partially due to a series of small strokes. Just be there for him, hold his hand, smile and do everything you can to reinforce that you care. It may take a village to raise a child but towards the end of life it takes only one genuinely loving presence to ease the transition into death. Caring about and for your grandfather could be the most important life work that you ever do.

Change their diets. Stop shopping for products in the supermarket, this is a major cause of modern ailments. In my opinion, as a result of my stroke recovery, they are halls of death.
My advice to ANYBODY with a persistent medical condition is to:
Stop eating ANY cooking oils, vegetable, olive, oleic, etc or any product that is produced with oil
Stop drinking processed milk and its dairy products, butter, cheese, spreads
Stop eating bread and wheat products, unless able to confirm natural source and then when made yourself
Stop using processed sugars, whatever form they take
Stop using table salt or products dependent on it
Those are my main five, though my list includes significantly more.
Much easier to advise the dominant food products in my life now are, fruit, vegetables, nuts and berries prepared either raw, boiled or baked - NO frying at all

A word of warning. It is easier for a crack addict to stop "using" than it is for the average westernised person accustomed to our bastardised diet to commit to the stoppages I have alluded.

Fundamentally, if you are "sickly" in some form or another, the ONLY thing your body needs is NATURAL wholesome goodness, It certainly doesn't need modern food products or pharmaceuticals, which are conveniently placed side by side in the high street. Before you embark on other forms of homeopathic or holistic healing, which is great, start by conditioning your own natural DISCIPLINE to invoke positive change.

Sorry to hear the stories of others suffering degenerative brain conditions but those are the current ones, unless people make the change then more WILL follow, falling in to the clutches of the medical practices who will bombard the bodies systems with commissioned pharmaceuticals. They profit from peoples suffering. Anyways, hope this helps, take care.

did you guys notice that FTD, bi-polar disorder, and autism share a common factor of loss of white matter bundle coherence?

i wonder if there is a common cause/treatment?

p.s. temple grandin discovered the link between bi-polar and autism disorder.

Thank you all dearly for your input.
It is much appreciated.

I'll pass much of it on to the people who take care of him and discuss what can be implemented into his caretaking.

Snoweagle? My grandfather has been eating a balanced organic diet since the stone ages :) Not sure that he (and his wife) know about heated vegetabe oils, so that might be of use.

Hi Tesla--Didn't know there wasa link between bi-polar and autism... Also am not familiar with white bundle cell coherance. Could you provide some links? It would be greatly appreciated
