Dear Avalon,
My Steph grandfather was recently diagnosed with 'Small Vessel brain disease' or 'Vasculair Gout Lobe Atrophy Dementia'.
He is sick for about 2 years now, but they diagnosed him only now with this.
As far as I know it is a form of arteriosclerosis (calcification of the arteries) in the small arteries in his brain, which give him minor strokes in his brain every now and then.
This caused his motoric system to fail more and more over the past years.
He is in the hospital at the moment and as far as I can see it, most people are giving up on him, including some of his children.
He is (as always) willing to give it a try and get over this to live another day.
He is now close to 80 years of age.
He gets homeopathic support.
I was wondering if any of you people might know of ways to reverse this process.
Maybe there are alternative means to heal the calcificated arteries?
I read about borax (http://health-science-spirit.com/borax.htm) for instance that it ballances the parathyroid hormone which, when available excessively, causes calcium to leave the bones and go to the blood stream to settle in soft tissues.
Boron deficiency causes the parathyroids to become overactive, releasing too much parathyroid hormone which raises the blood level of calcium by releasing calcium from bones and teeth. This then leads to osteoarthritis and other forms of arthritis, osteoporosis and tooth decay. With advancing age high blood levels of calcium lead to calcification of soft tissues causing muscle contractions and stiffness; calcification of endocrine glands, especially the pineal gland and the ovaries; arteriosclerosis, kidney stones, and calcification of the kidneys ultimately leading to kidney failure. Boron deficiency combined with magnesium deficiency is especially damaging to the bones and teeth.
Borax is a relative unknown supplement and on the internet is much contradictory information to be found, which makes me a bit insecure to recommend this to him.
Also, I was thinking about high doses of anti-oxidants like vitamin C (liposomal), glutathione and maybe ascorbyl palmitate (a fat soluble vitamin C that can pass the blood/brain barriiere).
What do you think about my findings?
What can you recommend?
Thank you for your input!
