I do believe they exist, but why??? I've watched, "Psychic Kids" where Chip Coffey does an excellent job helping sensitive children handle their talents, but why are some spirits stuck or choose to remain here after they've departed their earthly bodies? Don't they have loving guiding spirits who escort them through the tunnel of love and light? How could anyone possibly resist or refuse to go into the tunnel? This has been a topic I've been thinking about off and on for a long time, and finally decided to ask those who know a heck of a lot more than I do about it.

Hi Lone Bean. David Icke said something in one of his books that really summed it up for me a couple of years back: "Death is no cure for ignorance".
IMO anyway, we are responsible for what happens to us, and no one else. Loving guides included. :) Besides, who's to say we aren't "dead" right this very minute?

In essence, I guess you could pose a similar question in regard to all incarnate beings. :)
It's really that simple, that's the whole thing about existence as far as I know. Consciously aligning with love, which is all that really is. That's a challenge, no matter where you are, no matter how many guides there are.
I've had some experiences with ghosts, especially when I was living in a 900 year old castle... Yeah, ghosts are as real as the nose in my face. I could feel their presence, I could see auric energies without physical bodies, and I asked them to perform something when my relatives visited me there. I'm the odd one out in the family and I wanted them to see some outlandish things for themselves... When my parents got there and made pictures, all the pictures had a white mist, which had never happened to them before with their camera. And when my grandma visited, her camera was zooming in and out all by itself, freaked her out pretty well. I assured her they're just playing anyways, and that I asked them to do so.
Jimmy, the owner of the castle, is naturally pretty open to communication with ghosts, they sometimes "enter" him and tell him their stories, which is not always pleasant to him. Anyways, one ghost told him he had been a servant there and simply likes to be there. One morning he woke Jimmy up at 4AM to tell him to go to the other end of the castle. Reluctantly Jimmy went and found that a bag of sawdust had caught fire, so having ghosts around can be quite practical sometimes.
There has also been a nasty ghost in the castle, "Bubi" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludolf_von_Alvensleben), a former high-ranking Nazi who owned it and who only died 1970 in Argentina after he fled directly after the war. He was really creating a disconcerting atmosphere apparently and they managed to get professional help to get rid of him. Maybe he was afraid of what would await him once he really goes on on his journey? After all, he had done some really terrible things and in 1964 he was in absentia sentenced to death for having ordered the killing of more than 4,000 Polish people. Jimmy told me he saw him in his Nazi-uniform walking the corridors of the castle, that was before I ever got there... Prior to the war Bubi had been short on money, so he rented out the castle to a guy called Wentzel. Then in 1944 Bubi abused the power he had in this region through his position as a Nazi-official to have Wentzel hanged on specious charges, while Wentzel's wife was sent to a concentration camp. Bubi then got the castle back... So he applied unjust means to get what he wanted, and I can imagine that this didn't really make him happy. It's the same old story... I figure it's not just that he haunted the castle after his death, but he himself was being haunted, too, by what he did. What holds you back in life is what holds you back in death – attachements – whether they come from an affectionate heart, like with that servant, or from a heart filled with remorse.

I have always wondered why they are still here also. Just the other night I had one shove me while laying in bed. This isnt the first time this has happened either. Pretty strange stuff.

Would that be Schochwitz Castle by any chance ?
Somebody claims to have caught one on tape there, but it could just as easily be a video overlay. You can never tell anymore with digital stuff.

Yeah, that's it. But that video is such a corny spoof! :biggrin1:
They had a volunteer who was into making movies and so they came up with this idea, just for fun really... If I had participated in making this video, I'd have made it more clear that it's a joke. So it seems like a poorly conceived deception that claims to be for real...
But hey, nobody's perfect, that's one thing I surely learned there, it's a lot about making it work, improvising, and so on... In general it's a really cool place, here's a video from two years ago where Jimmy is explaining the idea behind this place, I was translating.

You've got less hair in the translation :) (Than your avatar, that is)
Thanks for posting. Interesting to hear Jimmy's story.

The main theories behind the 'lingering in limbo' question is:
1. Some deaths are so sudden and traumatic that they take the trauma with them and 'miss the boat', so to speak.
2. Some people are so brainwashed (by religion - the blind leading the blind) they believe they will actually go to hell if they don't live a worthwhile life, again that will pass with them into limbo and the worry of judgement is enough to stop some from passing into the light.
3. As in life, some people are just dicks and wish to mess with the 'living'. Revenge must be a powerful emotion to blind someone so strongly.
4. The vast majority of 'intelligent' ghosts are temporary visitors (in more than one sense of the word).
5. There are many 'glitches in the matrix' where a moment of time will replay visually or audibly if the right situational effects occur. It is merely a snapshot of time without any intelligent interaction.
As for the part where you say "This has been a topic I've been thinking about off and on for a long time, and finally decided to ask those who know a heck of a lot more than I do about it", you'll find your guesses are just as qualified as those of ghost hunters and some spiritualist mediums... as always it's a matter of belief as science itself isn't even on the right track with many of the basics they hold most dear. Also make sure you don't confuse true mediums with the conmen mentalists and tricksters, hell... even the true mediums will admit they are still piecing together their knowledge.

I am open minded to the subject, although have not seen one conciously.

Now Bob & Ions take surprised me.Bob has been contacting the otherside since the 1960's
thru Dave Worcesters cosmic awareness, The 'Evergreens' possibly others and now the
enviroment known as ion. Also the elites have been doing this thru priests, shamens etc
since day one I think, and Bob says intelligence services, US Presidents, Royalty , The
Pope thru representatives still do and some have had private sessions with Ion.
Back to ghosts Bob said on several of the radio shows he has done, on other
stations how JW a wealthy buisness man from Georgia US, met Bob a few years
ago at JW's house, they got talking and JW told him he could see spirits and that
were several in the room with them, which freaked bob out a bit in a fun way.He
described them to Bob, and this lead Bob to see if they could use JW to contact
other entities like the 'evergreen's. What came thru was ion and thats how it
started.I'll see if I can find one of the interviews where he says this.

I watched a video of Dennion, (spelling?) the guy who had 3 NDE's, that was posted on another thread, and he said something that made sense about ghosts. But I already forgot what it was!!!!

I really like DNA's old posts about his experiences, they helped me a lot and where I got the sig line below. I used his method--asking "what is the purpose of your presence" to help one "cross over".
Now understand that I can't see or feel a damn thing when it comes to paranormal or different energies, as I have related often in the past, my only experience is when they manipulate the physical 3D environment, or other, more sensitive people's reactions.
I was actually trying to rid my house of a "shadow man", a more malevolent spirit that contiues to cause problems in my space, though what happened when I was actively trying to address him (according to my GF, who is super "6th-Sense I see dead people everywhere" sensitive) there was a girl in the room who gratefully, tearfully drifted over us out of the room in a flash of light (that I neither saw nor even came close to feeling, though she had never heard me relate DNA's stories at that point and basically told me the story, which i was an oblivious player in, apparently).
Anyway I am rambling, thought I'd add my two cents...I had (have) all of those questions too, and found this place (especially older posts...look to 2011 and even earlier) to be a great repository of experiences...

Interesting subject this, thought I´d share some of the experiences of family and friends as I haven´t had any proper experiences myself. My sister rented a room in an old widows house during her late highschool years and this widow would frequently yell out " shut up, Im sick of you now!!" whenever she heard something, claiming to addressing the ghost in the house. At first my sister thought she was a little crazy, but would soon realise that something real was going on in the house. My sister stayed alone on the topfloor of the house and this is where most of the action took place. The two dobermans that the lady had would never enter my sisters room ( even though they liked my sister), they always lingered about just outside the door growling and occacionally barking out towards the room. Obviously dogs are a bit weird sometimes so this doesn´t have to mean anything.
However one night when she got back home from the pub she noticed as she was getting ready for bed that a lot of rubble from the yard had stuck in her jeans, she was tired so she just showed it under the bed and went to sleep. When she woke up, there was a perfect little pile of rubble in the middle of the room. She looked under the bed and could not find any of the rubble, it was all in the pile.
A few days later as she was putting some clothes in to the closet ( walkin) she suddenly started to feel dizzy and passed out ( she has diabetes, undiagnoced at the time), the last thing she remember was falling in to a pile of empty movingboxes and collapsing on the floor amongst the boxes. when she woke up all the boxes were put back in their place lika it never happend. Clearly the ghost in that house liked his house clean and tidy! Another time she woke up in the middle of the night and noticed that her bedside lamp was still on. She figured she must have fallen asleep without turning it of so she turned it of a went back to sleep. I while later she woke up and again the lights were on, a little annoyed she turned them off and went back too sleep. A while later same thing happens. This time she unplugs the lamp. When she woke up next morning the lamp was on. Plugged in. Had this happed to me I would have moved out the same day:)
My friend was celebrating christmas at his grandmothers house a few years back, and as they were sitting in the livingroom after dinner his sister suddely starts freaking out and screaming. she was sitting in a chair with a view in to anthother room, in that room was a large mirror on the wall facing her. She had seen an old man in the mirror looking straight at her. The man was wearing an old tophat and looked like a " 1800th-century man". Her grandmother quickly comforted her saying, thats just albert, he comes heer sometimes. he´s harmless. She went on to tell a story about a christmas some years ago when she had woken up at night thinkng she heard something. Like a glass breaking, just not as powerfull. She listened and heard it again. She got up from bed and moved downstairs towards the livingroom when she heard it again, this time loud and clear as she was almost in the room. When she entered the room she saw her tablecloth on fire, she had forgottten the candles on the table. she managed to put the fire out. The noise that woke her up were glassballs from the christmas tree that had fallen to the floor. She reckoned it was albert that woke her up:)
Luckily these have all been harmless incidents of good spirited "ghost" who wanted to help or just make their presence known. Friendly or not, it always makes a good story!

Your story with the lamp reminded me of when I was kid, my best friend had one in his house, where I'd spend the night often. One night, the old (like Tom & Jerry old) radio turned on full volume by itself. Went down, turned it off, lay back down upstairs in our respective bunks, on pops the music again. Thinking it was glitchy we unplugged it...I'll be damned if that thing didnt turn back on, full volume--til we got downstairs. Before we entered the room it was it in, it turned off. Upon examination, it was plugged in.
Apparently the "spirit world" is full of souls with the same problems in this one: they got nothing better to do than play games

It's a free will thing. That whole tunnel thing is a portal that opens up and gives you the oppurtunity to cross over, but you don't have to. Plus, lots of folks feel as if they are going to go to hell when they die, for past indescretions. This is never true, all is taken into account when you cross over, but guilt is a powerfull thing.
Don't they have loving guiding spirits who escort them through the tunnel of love and light? How could anyone possibly resist or refuse to go into the tunnel? This has been a topic I've been thinking about off and on for a long time, and finally decided to ask those who know a heck of a lot more than I do about it.
Have you ever met a person who was a incourable know it all? Well, this is the case most of the times with these folks. You are correct in regards to the tunnel and guides, but they are not going to coerce someone.
