Fascinating chart.
Right before the Kennedy assassination nearly 80% of the country trusted the federal government.
Johnson and Kennedy, who had inside information on the assassination and were thus accomplices in a criminal law sense, rode that down to just 30%.
Master con artist Ronald Reagan brought it back to near 40%.
Bush I crashed it again to around 20%.
The con artist from a place called Hope (aka Bill Clinton) turned it around modestly again.
The 9-11 PsyOp ("we're victims of big, bad terrorists who live in caves and need government protection") gave it a temporary boost again.
Then the reality of Bush II and the con artist from Chicago, Barrack Obama, (the "Bushbama Administration") is bringing us back to Bush I levels.
And there's still plenty of room to fall from here.

It's about time people pull their head out of their arse. It's a hard thing to accept that those who seek to get elected are not trying to serve the people. They are there to get rich quick. Most of them are so compromised by their sexual predilections they vote the way the puppet masters want so not to get their secrets exposed.

PBS often cites who their sponsor is, unless it is the CIA, as in this case.
Yes, American's don't trust their government, they are waking up, and PBS can't ignore it, so instead of reporting the story, they diffuse the message. They tell us it's about Republican's not liking the Obama government, and Democrats not liking the Bush government. They just want to divide America into two halves and pit them against each other.
The U.S. Government is a bi-partisan effort. Both parties are about un-ending war on behalf of multi-national corporations. They are about a faux altruism to help the poor and needy, which really ends up just benefiting a few corporate interests. And whether it is by high taxes, or tax cuts, it is about transferring more and more of the nations and the worlds wealth and power into the hands of the very few.

Better yet, don't vote at all...that would send the most powerful message of all.

I doubt you mean that Kennedy drove the approval down to 30%, after his assassination, because he had inside information on his own assassination :).
Did you mean "Johnson and Nixon" ?

Why not? Just because the government is a private corporation, owned by the banksters, acting as a collection agency for the bankruptcy of this country, fleecing all hard working people who just want to live, who are forced to adhere to arbitrary and capricious mandates, regulations, statutes, rules, and codes controlling every aspect of their lives, under complete surveillance electronically down to what they had for breakfast...geez, I wonder why people are fed up.

I think we should found The No-Incumbents Party....the slogan is... "If you're in, you're out!" The only platform that our candidates run on is, One term only, no professional politicians, no retirement plan, no insurance outside of what the rest of the world does for itself, no insider trading exceptions, just some person that was elected to help out for a few years then back to the farm.

Thats a quoted from the report of Brasscheck not really sure what they were talking about I think they just meant Johnson about the Kennedy assassination. "The night before the Kennedy assassination, Lyndon Baines Johnson met with Dallas tycoons, FBI moguls and organized crime kingpins - emerging from the conference to tell his mistress Madeleine Duncan Brown that "those SOB's" would never embarrass him again. It's a jaw-dropping deposition and it's the biggest JFK smoking gun there is - despite the fact that it has received little media attention".
