My thanks to Michele Casati for drawing my attention to this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MCZeC_FfWw) from NASA showing a double coronal mass ejection as comet Pannstarrs passes overhead. This is more evidence for a link between sungrazing comets and CME’s last discussed here (http://tallbloke.wordpress.com/2011/10/09/comets-and-solar-cme-is-there-a-connection/) in late 2011.

It also ties in with observations and successful predictions made by NASA scientist Ching Cheh Hung in his 2007 paper (http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=ching+cheh+hung+planets&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&ved=0CC8QFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fntrs.nasa.gov%2Farchive%2Fnasa%2Fcasi.ntrs.nasa.gov%2F20070025111_2007025207.pdf&ei=F_ZCUZyGJISqO_WJgOgL&usg=AFQjCNGwgEHs3IjcIquIhTfz02pLDFrOug&bvm=bv.43828540,d.ZWU)showing a correlation between the motions of the inner planets and overall levels of solar activity.
