How many times have we been sold on the idea of some invention being the best thing of the century? At the time it may have been true and still are, but as we're all seeing how quickly they can be turned around and used against us....
This video is one more thing to watch out for....

Does it seem like the new job of
so-called law enforcement is to
harass drivers and create pointlessly
dangerous situations on the road?

It sure seems that way to me.

Eric Peters, one of the top automotive
writers in the world, agrees.

It's not just our imagination.

That's how we grow. Thanks.

It's only NOW that we're able to see how we're being set up. Let's hope it's not too late. TPTW move slowly with their agendas so as not to get everyone's attention. Tricky, but we're onto them now. It's not as easy for them to get away with everything as they used to. But still, it hasn't stopped them from plodding along. :tsk:

I've seen this coming for some time. It's gonna be at the point where you're getting tickets in the mail for going 5mph over the speed limit. Eventually cameras will be installed in cars and I don't mean back up cameras.

Shutting the car off while on the highway is dangerous. The power brakes in a car can't function when the car's engine is off. They are designed to support a few pumps of the brakes to stop the vehicle but after that you're screwed. Generally this is a non-issue as it's easy to turn on the hazards and coast to the side of the road, but you never know. If someone panics in that situation it's gonna be dangerous for everyone around that person.

Brake systems are changing over the years and some designs vary from others but the end result is usually the same. You can see what I mean: get in your car with the engine off and pump the brakes a few times. You'll notice the pedal becomes hard as a rock (if it's spongy then you need a brake bleed and you may have a leak). Turn the car on and your pedal is back to normal.

NO GPS is the exact reason why I kept my clunker. If I want off the grid, I'm not gonna have my transportation tagged. For all we know there could be a barcode on our stickers on our plates soon, reading all info on the driver. Ooops, they already are. Onstar Stickers? Also State Inspection sticker. Tag, you're it. Hee, hee. Guess it's off on foot like our ancestors or back to the horse and buggy? just a little jokey joke.

But it is serious. Remember 5th element where the car reported everything the driver did to the DMV? Welcome to USA snoopdevilles.

Keep in mind, this probably applies to all things electronic

I'm sure the car will be "pulled-over" and stopped remotely, then the motor will be switched off. This should be safe for everyone.

And, since, we won't have paper money, there really won't be any need to go to court for that 5 mph speeding ticket, they'll just "direct fine" your account and deposit it directly into theirs. Life will run so much more smoothly then. Toll roads will be a snap to manage too!

I'm not seeing a better world because of technologies like this. Do any of you?
