On Tuesday, a series of bombings blasted Baghdad and the surrounding areas, and
a group affiliated with the extremist group al-Qaeda has taken responsibility for the
carnage on the 10 year anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq. The attacks have
claimed the lives of dozens of civilians and still it seems the country is no better off
than what it was a decade ago. The conflict has cost the lives of nearly 5,000 US
troops, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and the economic impact is expected to
reach in the trillions. Former Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) didn't shy away
from his opposition of the war when it was declared, and he joins us now to discuss
the tragic impact the Iraq War has left.

A 33-year-old Iraq War veteran paralyzed during battle is planning to refuse
nourishment in the coming weeks. Tomas Young has written a letter to former-
President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney condemning them
for "war crimes" committed during in Iraq. Young, who enlisted in the US military
two days after the attacks on 9/11, was shot by a sniper in Iraq and has been
wheelchair-bound ever since. RT's Liz Wahl has more on the soldier's last stand.

The invasion of Iraq was a criminal act & a crime against humanity !!
and the criminals Bush,Blair,Cheney, Rumsfeldt and the Neo-con gang
should be prosecuted !

Ten years later, the effects of the US-led war in Iraq are still being felt. With
hundreds of thousands lives lost in the Middle Eastern country, including American
soldiers, reports indicate that America is expected to pay trillions of dollars for the
mission. Former US Senator Mike Gravel (D-AK) and Sara Flounders, co-director of
the International Action Center, joins us to discuss.

Although the US declared the war in Iraq over, the daily life of an Iraqi citizen is
still in danger. On Tuesday, a series of attacks killed approximately 60 on the tenth
anniversary of the US-led invasion, but still the citizens of the war torn country
have to move on with their day-to-day routines. RT's Lucy Kafanov is on the ground
in Iraq to give us a glimpse of the state of Iraq.

i wonder if anything will be done of this? I recall joining the military after highschool. as I was in basic training they were telling us of possible deployment. well that was expected. well once i got overseas to Iraq, i saw what we were doing there and i "woke up." right when i got back, i left. they tried to offer me bonuses to re-inlist. nothing major like the $30k ones or what have you. just a few grand which wouldve been nice for me at the time. but i told them, you couldnt pay me enough to come back and do your dirty work. and i left. one of the best decisions in my life was to leave the service.

this false patriotism they sell to the service members is ridiculous. i now see the military and anyone who is in it, as drones. i mean no disrepect for people who are in it, and awake, but we are all drones one way or another. i mean right now i sell cellphones ,FOR NOW. so i am a drone in that aspect. slowly planning to get away from the hamster wheel.

been there done that, and got some 'standard" medals in the process for less than people can imagine.

Laws are only for the sheeple. Those in power are lawless, so you'd better wake-up and start getting your own justice.
